  • You might also clay bar the parts before you wax them. It makes for an ultra smooth finish that is really easy to clean with some quick detailing spray.

  • Scooter with sportbike fairings, I have a 09 zx6r.. if ur gonna get a bike unless you never planning on goin over 70mph get a ninja 500 to start I had it before my zx6 an it took a few months to get bored of its 135mph capabilites, I'm about to sell my zx6 for a zx10 to step up from 170mph

  • niceeee :D

  • great videos man...i really like ur help.....just 1 question, can i use that wax on chromed surfaces???plz reply

  • Too bad it's still a 250 lol

  • YOU SHOULD ASK EXPERT VILLAGE OR EHOW TO PUBLISH SOME OF YOUR VIDS.

  • I cant find this product anywhere in canada

  • how do you clean de black parts, the onee near the gauges and in the sides?

  • @fabigti use ARMOR ALL to d black side

  • 2:59 That's what she said.....

  • the thing about a moterctlce is you can't take it to a car wash bad idea

  • Question: Can you apply wax to the transparent plastics?

  • can u use wax like that to shine chrome?

  • im not sure if you will use this product but its called meguiars cleaner wax, its a really good product i currently use on my G35, and all you do is apply, let it dry (20-30mins?) and you wipe it off no buffing required =). works like a champ

  • Good job man, looking nice!

Have you thought about using something like plastishine for the dark plastic parts (not including the handlebars, seats etc.)?

  • THAT 3M IS GOOD STUFF YOU SAY is that a 250 ninja nice

  • nice bike

  • Bottom down ...OK

  • hey dude thanx for all your hard work it really helped me out im a 250 rider myself yea its a starter bike but i live in NY where am i really going past 50mph on these F,d up streets lol keep up the videos ill keep watchin

  • im getting a 2010 kawasaki ninja 250r, and im a little afraid. if i brake to hard am i going to do a stoppie then flip over? same with gas will i do a wheelie and flip back?

  • @corvette08175696 lol well i got a cbr600f n im 16 and well, theres a big difference in weight like my bike when i floor it real fast, it will not lift off the front wheel bcause its heavy and if you brake hard, well ur suposed to use 70% of front n 30% of back brake at same time but in walking speed, only the rear gently apply iyour brakes :) probly your wheel or wheels r just gona lock up like i did the other day in a curve n my bike slid n hit a curb, :( well ya =D

  • @corvette08175696

its 250cc... Ur probably not going to Wheelie it over with only with gas

  • i have a question: is there any storage space on the bike for say taking off the passenger seat and puting the cover on but still keeping the seat with you?

  • the only storage space is under the passenger seat. and it's semi-small

  • @corvette08175696 no there isnt actually, you can usually put that cover in your bag if u have one with u

  • good job the bike looks nice very good. very informative

  • thanks, that was like the 2nd time I waxed something so it was an alright video :P

  • wax on was off :P

  • @ScrewFearMe do u meen wax on wax off?

  • @1993TMAXX oops....yeah i did

  • @ScrewFearMe okay lol thats fine

  • A tip for riding in the rain. Use the wax on your gauges, headlights, mirrors etc. Rain will "bead" into large drops and roll/blow off, not mist or fog.

Better still, put a nice thick layer of wax on your visor. Really coat it. Allow it to dry for a good 5 minutes, then polish up. The rain will run off easy and make it easier to see! Just have to turn your head side to side when up to speed and all the rain blows off.

  • Very very good idea (: thanks!

  • @venquessa Really? Nice tip.

  • sir i found that 3m cleaner..

can i use it to a plastic panels?

  • on painted surfaces yes

  • actually it was a plastic with decals?

    what can you suggest sir?

  • So, how are we supposed to shine the non paint surfaces?

  • you could use amour all maybe.

I would avoid painted surfaces with that though.

  • Which parts of the bike are we not supposed to wax?

  • anything not paint

  • Turtle wax ice works pretty good and you can do it out in the sun if you really had to i washed/waxed my dads truck in the sun and it turned out pretty good

  • oh nice (:

  • i use meguires wax on my car and it works very well. You should give it a shot :) if you have it where you live lol also i agree 100% on using an old shirt for this stuff that way you have less fuzz all over the bike and so on. Cant wait til i get my bike this spring :D

  • wash

    detailing clay

    swirl remover

    finishing polish

    glaze

    paint sealent

    wax

    detailer

ive been preparing show cars and bikes for 2yrs now if u want a show shine finish expect to pay $300 every 6 months :)

  • Thanks for posting these videos. These are exactly the type of videos I've been looking for. I have a question though. After you wash your bike, should you immediately clean and lube the chain so that the water doesn't rust it?

  • good question, I would like to know the answer to that

  • I'd set you should wash the bike, then clean/lube the chain because when you wash it, water may or may not interact with the chain and cause problems.

but I'm not 100% sure. But I'd clean/lube it after you wash the bike

  • sorry but i've never see a worst way to wax.....

before waxing u should polish the surface.....and believe me this will keep the result on the best level.

u should use a cotton or microfiber pad tu put the wax, with circular and pretty fast movements and u should keep with this until wax appear to be transparent. then u finish with a nice clean microfiber towel.

u just put the wax and remove it without let it penetrate in the microscopic ( or nanoscopic ) hole in the paint. SORRY 4 MY ENGLISH ;)

  • Hi does this wax have cutting compound? do you notice any red coming off on the cloth after you waxed the whole bike? cheers

  • nope, never seen any red at all come off (: thankfully

  • wax shouldnt have cutting compounds if they do they absoulutly be avoided only cutting compound that should be bought is polish but you would need to do your homework not to get a crappy polish i usually go for german brand made products such as wolfgang

  • lmao. GIVE IT ALOT OF PRESSURE. lmao. it sounds like hes having sex.

  • Lol, that is certainly not the case.

  • wiah its sooo smoooth!

  • lol you said bottom down. I believe that was meant to be top to bottom. But great vids

  • Thanks for all your work! I have enjoyed watching the videos! Good job

  • Hey, if you ever feel adventerous, try Ice spray detailer(by turtle wax). It works wonders! ( It also works on hot or cold paint which is a plus! )

  • woo! I Alwayyys have Hot paint :P

  • did you use that stuff on your tire to make it shiny? Or is that not good for the bike?

  • I personally don't but I guess you could (just don't get it on your tire that contact the road obviously.

  • How much did you pay for your 250r?

  • $5000

  • Interesting... They have the new 09`s out for about 4 grand

  • 4 grand plus tax and everything would prob be around 5 grand....idk

  • how did u clean your exhaust?

  • either glass cleaner or spray-on detailer

  • thx mines look odd sometimes after a dirt road or two

  • I really like the series you have put together. I am mechanically retarded and you have given me the confidence to change my oil...I hope. It would be really cool if you borrowed a buddies Gsxr750 and did the same. LOL thanks again.

  • Hey I just subscribed to your vids. You have some good info listed for beginners (although I'm not a beginner this is good for my GF to watch)

I have an 07 ZX6R that is red, very similar to yours. I took the Octane warning sticker off the tank and stuck it in the manual because I thought it made the tank look cleaner too.

  • hey thanks for subscribing man (:

oh ok, good call on the sticker.

    and thanks again (:

  • when you wax larger areas like the sides, do you wax the whole thing then buffer the whole thing or just little sections

  • I waxed my 09 250R (in Red) and I got some on the black sides and It stained it..I dont know how to take it off....Its just the edges but it is noticable, it doesnt look nice.....Do you know what I can do?

  • no idea bro, I'm sorry

I'd try a degreaser maybe, like dishsoap

idk if that'd work or screw it up either, sorry :(

  • if its little black dots... its road tar and is really sticky/tacky would need something like a degreaser to remove it.

  • No its not tar or anything like that. It is wax. I was waxing my 09 250R and I put some by accident on my side black fairings, Ive just found out that they sell a wax remover that I can put on it, but I cant find it.

  • every 400 miles, or sooner if you are in a dirty climate (like desert)
