can anyone give me the name of a video with Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eric Clapton both playing together live? I wanna see the both of them jamming together with actual footage not just a sound file but real video too I've looked everywhere and can't find one :(
Recorded Live on Ebony Showcase Theater in Los Angeles. B.B. King make a resume of his career with a super stars guests like, Paul Butterfield, Stevie Ray vaughan, Eric Clapton, Dr. John, Phil Collins, Etta James, Billy Ocean, Albert King, Glady's Night, etc..
Wait, BB playing a chord at the start!! Nah, just kiddin', all these guys are awesome. B.B.'s got nice friends. And two drummers playing at the same time! Faved!
yes Zack, Butterfield is up there among them, and rightly so. I just can't describe what a thrill it is to see these greats playing together. Talk about gettin chills, man.
he is a overrated guitar player and a drug diler...SRV , Johnny Winter, Gary Moore are way better than Clapton and they are also white and Claptons influence is not so big among thouse who know something about music...
well first of all I dont know if he is a drug dealer or a serial killer (and I dont think u know it either) and honestly I dont give a fuck, cuz Im interested in his music, secondly everyone has its own taste but its naive to compare blues legends to each other sayin that one is shit and the other one is great(blues is not rap) and finally even though Im not a musician I think hes a very influenced man from young blues artists
well my taste is not the same is yours and Im not trying to change anyones, and I was only naming some of the artists because i read a comment about white people listening to blues because Clapton is white and thats not true...sorry but i never liked Clapton...
I have never posted a comment before but felt like I had to after listening and watching this video. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!, for sharing. What a wonderful reminder of how grateful I am to see and hear - for technology, for God, and for the opportunity to experience such awesome performances...
Ride the pony!!! Man they were way down in the groove like a big ol' smokin train. God bless those that are there but are now gone. It was a great night at The Albert Hall a few years ago BB, so glad you liked my poem, and it was a real thrill to meet with you for a while. The thrill still has not gone!
i swear the only thing they're missing is Jimi but then again i dont think hendrix would've let anyone else playing after he started, nontheless this is classic
omg, at 230 listen to clapton play and then when you see and hear SRV play a few licks, the difference in tone blows me away, srv was tha man. i love clapton toot tho
yeah your right , but its great to see these 2 together on stage . Unfortunatly they just play a few licks ... love to see more videos with clapton and stevie
Agree there. Just an example of how overrated EC is. I'm glad he brought the blues to a big audience, for that I respect him. For the rest he's a not so great copy of the 3 King's
This version of the thrill is gone you are talking about is one of the worst I've heard. Clapton seems to be a bit lost in it and throws random licks in there....which don't go with the song. He kind of disrupts the flow of the song. Even the version with Gary Moore is better, he changes it around without hurting the song. I'm no Clapton hater by the way, just don't find him "God".
He plays the same licks bb does after him...with his sound and style unique, the duet is stellar. He's one of the best ever. Yeah you don't find him God...and the rest of the world does..sorry for you ;)
RIP Etta James!!!

You're wrong man....in this same concert he plays The Thrill Is Gone with BB and he is definetly GREAT! Clapton is God.

I'm no Clapton hater by the way, just don't find him "God".

well keep in mind that round this time eric was still havin trouble with alcohol.
You really didn't like that version? i found it fabulous. clapton's licks aren't random, they're spontaneous. but whatev, we all got opinions dude
