  • Bad pronunciation. Anyone could google translate this stuff, Delete.

  • Haha,jättebra! Fortsätt träna! Sen får du komma till sverige och visa oss dina skills ;D

  • Good job!

I'm from Sweden and I am impressed, Swedish grammar is really hard even I think so :)

  • I REALLY like your handwriting! How do you do that? It's so cool, and you are really good at swedish!!

  • @Notorone lol how do I write like that?? :P Tha

    nks!!!

  • Hur går det med dig idag = hur gåre me dej ida (That is how we say it in sweden)

But we dont use that frase :P We use the first one.

Good job! Sweedish is hard to learn :P

  • Man ska kanske lära sig svenska innan man lär ut det

  • "vart går du idag" also wrong. i'm correcting you cus i wan't you to know the right things, not cus i think it's bad. "vart ska du" is the best instead of "vart går du" and skip the last "you" in the centens "kan jag följa med dig" it's not used that often. Hugs

  • "hur går det med dig idag" is not a correct sentece (can't spell that ) sorry.. That is wrong, it's grammaticly wrong

  • heur mor do idágg?

  • Hur mår du idag?

    Or

    Läget? = What's up?/How are you?

The latter is more common, at least with the younger population.. You're doing really well :)

  • You do very well. =) Actually I was in Sweden just last year an thes pronounce it a little bit different than they spell it, but anyway, my compliment on your Swedish. =)

  • Hej! Jag är amerikansk och jag lär mig svenska. Jag ska åka till Västerås, Sverige om ett par månader. Jag skulle vilja någon hjälp med språket. Om du är svensk, ge mig din MSN eftersom det blir roligt och jätte hjälpsamt att snacka med dej på svenska.

  • fan du e bra men din eng e mycket bättre <33333

  • like I told you before, if you learn Skånska (a dialect)! You guys will be pro :D

  • @MrJustWhatever

    HAHAHAHAHA

skånska, är Danska, min lilla vän xD göteborska ska det vara, eh du go eller?

  • Your swedish is really good! :)

It's a little bit wrong sometimes, because you can't say "hur går det idag?", that doesn't sound right xD And "var går du idag?" is also a little bit wrong, because it sound better if you say "vart ska du gå idag?"

Otherwise your really good actually :D

  • "var går du idag" should be "vart ska du idag". "jag ska köpa ett par långbyxor" should be "jag ska köpa ett par byxor" . and u should pronounce the "d" in "vad heter du"

    Relly good otherwise.

  • "var går du idag" should be "vart ska du idag". Relly good otherwise.

  • Great video very funny to watch. and the Swedish was good aswell!:)

  • "Hur går det med dig idag?" is wrong. It should be "Hur är det med dig idag?"

  • Awesome penmanship

  • It's funny that everyone that's learning swedish can spell all the swedish word so good.

  • Bra jobbat, ni kan mer Svenska än de flesta Amerikaner!

Som Svensk tycker jag det är väldigt kul att se folk lära sig Svenska!

Hälsningar från Sverige och fortsätt kämpa!

  • wow you know dutch too! my native language is dutch :p where did you learn all these languages?

  • er svenska är riktigt bra :D

fortsätt kämpa med grammatiken och uttalet ;)

    Hugs // Ina :)

  • om du lär dig skånska, en dialekt, så är du väldigt bra! :D

  • @MrJustWhatever ush skånska är ju snarare danska än svenska, så jag håller inte med dig...

  • fejkar ni eller inte ? bra i såfall

  • haha, kul att du svara på kommnentarerna på svenska :D (fun you answer the comments on swedish :D)

  • haha asgarv

''hur går det med dig idag?'' hahahah

  • you do have nice handwriting, XD I like that in people :3

  • instead of ''hur går det idag'' you should say ''hur är det idag'' and your really good att swedish ^^ keep it up :D

  • Vad det bara jag som reagerade på "Var går du idag"?.

Jag som svensk har aldrig hört någon säga det, jag tror att dem flästa andvänder "Vad gör du idag".

Men anars, keep upp the good job ^^

  • Nice handwriting, damn.

  • Fuck abba xD

  • In Sweden we not so often say "Hur mår du?". We say "Hur är det?" (How is it?) or "Är det bra?" (Is it good?). "Hur mår du?" is often said to someone you think not feel well.

  • wanna learn some words that teenagers use in swe :)?

    aa = ja

tjoo = tja (hej ) ( announced like... sHuu! evil creature! Shuuu!)

läget = hur är det( vad görs )

va görs = vad gör du/ni

öj = Hör du du! ( like ey )

Just thought it could be useful to know ^^. cause u wont find it in a dictionary

  • @alleballed det där är ju slang? xD det har hon nog inte så stor användning av :P

  • @Baroque2009ify JOOOOO annars låter man som en mupp om man pratar som en robot Haha

  • haha! you gonna get all the girls when you come to Sweden dude! or the boys;D love it. keep going.

  • here are some slang or synonyms (none-regional) for "Hej"

Hej, tja, tjena, tjabba, hejsan, hallå. Yeah all these are by the same meaning.

  • vart går du idag ?hahah man säger , vart ska du idag:P

  • You're really good :) But your "Var går du idag?" should have been "Vart går du idag?" Just thought I should point that out :) Keep up the good work!

  • This is really good and funny, your swedish is gerat 8D

ha det så bra, hejdå! ^^

  • Du skriver jättefint! Ha en bra dag

  • Nice Swedish !:D

    ///Sweden

    Hej då :P

  • Iam really surprised over the comments from swedes; many ppl are saying that "We dont say it like that" or "we dont talk like that" "we dont use that" or whatever, iam astonished by this, how the young ones really dont know how to speak their own native language. For example @mr9cool thinks that ppl will look on you "strange" if you say 'tack', I think its horrible that, its strange being polite in his world. You shouldnt listen to these comments from swedish youths, they have been neglected.

  • du kan rätt mycket :) hur länge har du övat/ you can pretty much how long have you practise?

  • one thing , It's right but we don't say it like that , we don't use Thank you when we say how we feel.

följa is the right word not komma..

  • good ;)

  • only so u know you dont say "jag mår bra, tack"

you dont say "tack" after the jag mår bra, if you say that in sweden ppl will look on you strange ;)

  • @mr9cool DET ÄR ARTIGHET, såklart hon ska lära sig rätt, det är vi som är oartiga, många skulle uppskatta om hon sa tack efter, lär inte ut fel O:

  • WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO LOVE UR SWEDISH TEACHER? lol. ask for something different please my friend...

  • hi uh i dont actually wanna learn swedish so i just watch these vids because ur cute exept for the other guy he's well uh................ lol

  • Instead of "Vart går du idag" the right is "Vart ska du idag". I know it's hard to learn a new language. I like to help you =) // Sabina from Sweden

  • Tack! I do much better now. Har varit i Sverige nu hehe. This video is so old lol.

  • You can also use an another word for "Naturligtvis" and that is "Självklart" // Sabina from Sweden

  • Comment removed

  • the one with the red hat is bloody hot

  • haha that's me ... and thanks haha

  • var går du idag? xD whats that? we dont say thatXD i thiink.../sweden

  • nahhh, I learned that haha

  • um ... ja, e du dum eller hur??

  • @LanguageFreak88 Grammar correction ^^: Du är dum eller hur? (OR) Är du dum, eller?

  • @kallekala What is so bad about homosexuality? You don't have to be a jackass, just because you don't approve...

  • @kallekala What is so bad about homosexuality? You don't have to be a jackass, just because you don't approve...

  • @kallekala Ikr? Fucking faggots trying to learn Swedish...

  • @kallekala yes u are

  • Din svenska är väldigt bra! bra kämpat killen, fortsätt så! :) /Sweden

  • tacki! hehe

  • Your handriting is really niiiiice! And your swedish to.... :)

  • hehe aww, thank you. Sorry, I reply so late!

  • You have really nice handwriting.

  • Roll your tongue when You say R. not seperated idag is one word like today.

another good phrase is: hur har din dag varit?=

How has your day been? or more better translated to what have you done today?

I believe we actually got 10 or 12 words meaning yes. ja javisst jadå naturligtvis jamen

okej jo japp jup last one ain't that usual plainly used in certain regions of sweden. and some more.

  • You have to use a rolling R =) But the leading one speaks much better than the other one =P

  • you can choose yourself if you want to drop the D in "Vad". It's more common to drop it, but not wrong to keep it. =)

  • your swedish is quite good! =) well done! =)

  • jag är svensk så jag hoppas att du fattar detta: jag älskar din svenska

  • And also, if you're still learning Swedish, I'm willing to help you with pronounciations and such, cause right now. You do make me laugh :P

  • "Hur går det med det med dig, idag?" <-- This.. Is wrong. "Hur mår du?" OR "Hur är det?" would be better. If you were to say the first mentioned phrase (Yours that is) would make you look like a idiot. "Var går du idag?" Also wrong. "Vart ska du idag" <-- Correct spelling.

  • hahahah vad roligt!

  • its not really corect ro say "var går du idag?", it should be something like "vart ska du idag?"

  • How are you? hur mår du How is it? Hur är det? Are you fine? Mår du bra Do you feel good today = mår du bra idag Du är bäst = You are best Du är sämst = you are worst mamma = mother pappa = dad (Easier this way) Mor = mother Far = Father
  • Hahahahaha, your spelling is almost better than mine but I'm from Sweden haha, I tend to forget some of the letter when I write because I always rush when I'm doing things haha, and to write everthing in Swedish just for fun :-D

Din stavning är nästan bättre än min fast jag är från Sverige, jag kan glömma vissa bokstäver när jag skriver för jag stressar ganska ofta, and rest is not worth translating

  • Jag mår braXD! och du är duktig på svenska!! stavningen är helt rätt :))) XD

  • see my channel to learn more abiout swedish culture

  • it´s better to say ´´vart ska du gå idag?´´

  • we = vi

  • you have cool hand writing :)

how do you say "we" in swedish?

  • "vi"

  • you don't say "var går du idag?" it means "where are you walking today?" haha

  • the swedish word for homosexual is bög :D

  • du är väldigt söt! (you are very cute) ;) have you ever visited sweden? call me when you get here, haha (a)

  • Why are you slaying my language?!

Seriously though, you're not completely incorrect at least.

  • Whats the Swedish word for Homosexual?

  • homosexuell

  • Homosexuell or bög or fikus

  • ja! they r!

  • we say Hur mår du idag? not hur mår du dag

  • we don't really say 'var går du idag' though;P

    we'd say :

    Vad ska du göra idag?

what are u gonna do today

  • Do you porounce "går" as /yor/ or /gor/?

  • gor

  • brilliant lesson thx very much! make mooore^^

  • TIp to next video, if you are doing a vid were you are trying to learn to pronounce a new language, skip the background music. Otherwise, good video :)

(saw that some other complained about your A.. Try to make it sound like an A in a combination of american and brittish english..)

  • LOL =D

  • Keep up the good work!:)

  • Yeah, you're quite good, your a's should be pronounced more like 'ahh'. And as a rough rule, if a vowel has only one consonant after it (eg hur, i dag etc) then the vowel is long, (huuuur, i daaahhg). In swedish, vowels are either very long or very short, in comparison to how we speak english. no inbetween!

    Hope that helps :0)

  • Wow, you're really good! And I'm being honest.

So If there's something I have to complain at it's your A's. Each time you say "jag" for example, you're saying it like the german A which sounds weird. It should be a straight A like in the alphabet.

Except from that you're doing great! You're taking letters of the end like you should, examples are "vad" and "det". Good job!

  • A few words from me that's helping you in learning. (im swedish)

Tack så mycket! - Thank you very much!

Var finns det en toalett? - Where's the toilet?

Var kan jag finna en taxi? - Where can I get a taxi?

Var kan jag ställa bilen? - Where can I park the car?

Var ligger turistbyrån? - Where's the tourist office?

Var ligger närmaste sjukhus? - Where's the nearest hospital?

Just a few sentences if you are going to sweden some day. :D

  • u can say the d i vad, and great with abba in background to make it more swedish ^_^

  • Du skriver coolt. = You´re writing style is cool. Kind of. Hahha xD

  • I dont know what the heck he is saying but it sounds cool.

  • Say " Hej snyggingar!" , = Helo you handsome people ;D

  • hur går det med dig idag haha xd - hur är det med dig idag :D

  • kanske.

    kan=can

ske= an old word for happen

so, basically kanske is "can happen" :D

  • have a little accent^^ if he was in sweden talking to me id get what he's saying xP

  • I lol'd, hey this is the cutest shit i've ever seen but the swedish sounds just awful, still, this is just so cute.

  • haha nice video :D

  • omg what funny:D I'm swedish, and it's so funny when people learn swedish:D:D haha, '' vad kul att få lära andra svenska,om man nu hade varit svensk,kanske.. haha kanske inte, vem vet;)'' if you know what means with that, I kow that i sucks at english x'D but trying to understand what i'm writing x'D fun vid btw!

  • hey! swedish is not an easy language! give him a breake! we have lots of grammar wich doesn´t really have any rules so its actually harder than you think! and he only learned it from books too(i think :S) //two swedish girls

p.s. u r great! keep up with the good work ;)

  • hahahahahaha, kanske :D

  • Haha, your grammar is so fuxxed up it's hilarious :D

  • I don't need your negativity. You COULD encourage someone to do better. This is an old video. I am much better. I can not record because my camera is broken.

  • the hives är Svenska alltför hahaha ABBA är också fina

  • hehe yepp! :>

  • haha, you say "jag mår bra" not "jag mår bra, tack." just so you know. and U don't say "hur går det med dig idag?" you should know that 2 ;)

  • Thanks. Yeah, I have been told. Lol. Well, I can't thank someone for asking me how I am? :P

  • I dag is separated. Some people consider it correct to make it one single word today, but there is no logic to that, because it literally means "in day". "Inday" makes no sense. Always separate it, as well as i går, i morgon i år, and so on.

  • That's weird. Yeah, I've always been confused about that. I see it in my book "idag" but separated sometimes with people.

  • "i dag" would be translateable to "this day". And, just as "this day" wouldn't be one word nor is "i dag" one word.

Funny swedish word for any american: "faktabok".

  • hahahhaah :D faktabok xD

  • jag är bäst hahaha

  • Och så ska det såklart vara ABBA låtar i bakrunden :D

  • Also, i think you said: Jag vill tala med dig senare. Meaning i want to speak with you later, like in an acctual conversation. The correct phrase would be: Vi hörs! or possibly: Vi ses! (translated: See you later)

  • Concerning Idag. it´s today. Dag meaning day, ou have the sam "rule" in the states when you say today so you can use it the same way basicly

  • "Jag går till varuhuset" instead of that you can say "jag ska till varuhuset" cuz "går" is like "walking" in english. ;)

  • @ AAndreee1

Det är väl lite dialektalt antar jag, man kan faktiskt säga båda sakerna utan att svenskaläraren slår oss på fingrarna

Translation: I guess that has to do with the local dialect, you can acctually say both things without your swedish teacher hitting your fingers

  • HAHA

Hur går det med dig idag!!

I've never heard that one before

  • du är duktig, hihi :D varför gillar du svenska?

  • XD Enjoying the background music.

  • When you say "jag mår bra, tack, och du?" I think you should know that that is a pretty formal way of responding. Teenagers (and many adults as well)would probably say "Jag mår bra, själv då?/ Du då?". But I must say that I admire your learning ability since Swedish is a very very tricky language. I am also very interested in languages especially english and japanese, but I think swedish is a pretty ugly language. Haha.

  • u write very nice :D

  • Hey mate, doing a good job. but we would never say "var går du idag?" We say, "vart skall du idag?" which means where are you going today?

Some minor misses but all in all great work. Swedish is a tricky language. Funky grammar and a horrific pronunciation. Good luck

  • can I have your msn?:) I'm from sweden.:)

  • Följa med är bättre än att säga får komma med dig.

Om man säger får jag komma med dig ,då blir det missföstånd.

Så det var en bra lektion.

  • hahaha hur går det = how goes it med dig idag ^^ ofta..

  • u can say "idag" more like idaag, well at least I do :P

  • jag tycker att du gör ett bra jobb =) svenska är rätt svårt, väldigt mycket grammatik, men du verkar fixa det, och jag gillar att du lyssnar på ABBA =D

  • ... HAHAHA! Rikssvenskans grammatik är löjlig. Svenska är ett relativt lätt språk, och det är ingen egen åsikt; det är fakta.

  • haha cool video, where are u from?

Im swedish, and i thinks its cool that u want to learn swedish :D

  • aw, you think so? I thank ye hehe

  • Hur går det med dig idag! :D haha

  • hej, det var länge tid sedan hehe

  • You have a nice accent, but just two things ^^ Dont blend big R's in the words. Its the same as the english only in the beginning of a sentences. and another thing with your R's. Ju put a bit to much tone on them when u talk. u should shorten them just a little and your swedish would be more fluent :)

  • Tack! Jag ska komma ihåg då! Tack. för hjälpen hehe

  • Det är ett svårt språk. Du är mycket duktig. ;)

    Lycka till.

Men vi säger inte "Var går du idag?" :P

Vi säger "Vart ska du idag?" eller "Var ska du idag?"

Annars blir det som "Where are you WALKING today?" Hehe.

  • ja, ni vet jag hehe tacki! hur mår du?

  • Jag mår bra, tack. ;) Är lite förkyld bara.

    Hur mår du då?

  • hehe jag mår bra, tack :P haha vad menar du med FÖRKYLD ... cold? lol O, har du?! Jag fattar nu :P

  • So, are you fluent in Swedish?

  • kinda ... I still have a lot to learn, but I can carry on a convo hehe

  • Where did you learn?

  • med böcker, cd skivor, YouTube, och låtar och vänner på MSN hehe

  • Yes, it means that I'm a bit cold.

Men nu är jag frisk igen.

  • du e söt! :D

  • åh, tack hehe

  • Good job dudes! =)

Acctually you write better than most of the teenagers here in sweden.. most of them "särskriver" (separates) words like varuhuset So it would look like "varu huset" .. så bra jobbat! and since this was uploaded a year ago it would be cool att se hur långt ni har kommit med svenskan nu! :)

  • hehe, verkligen? hehe. Well, I write it correctly because I am learning a foreign language. I would assume you guys write English correctly. People do that here too! They write ... ALOT instället för A LOT. Gets on my nerves! HAHA. O? Har du MSN? Skicka mig ett meddelande hehe

  • I understand, i just wat to help! :)

  • kul! Hjälpa vad? hehe
