  • We all have our share of accidents. I got my math wrong with an onboard rocket cam one day:

    watch?v=fsy0MUZsOlI

  • Only 300 mts ??

  • i am curently working on a project kinda like this but my helicopter is beaing controled by wifi internet over my computer and then its is linked to my Kelowna Ogopogo radio and also the fpv is being transmited over wifi internet. how you might say i put a Verizon MiFi 2200 Mobile Wireless HotSpot Wifi Modem so that means i can fly my helocopter 1,000,000miles from my house and spy on Area 51 thums up this so other people can see this!!!

  • @BosnianTechBoy This is f....king true? :D

  • @BosnianTechBoy guys try this yourself its realy cool if you had a battries that will never run out. then you can go around the would in 80days ! lol jk there is no battrie out there like this but its cool.

  • Was enjoying the view. What happened ? How far were you when the heli crashed ?

  • did you manage to repair it?

  • @aidanhd yes only minor damage, watch my newest video :-)

  • it went out of signal range?

  • @Timi116 yes

  • @bowlingwithzombies maybe if I had somthing else to do so I cut the video of early and just whrote a comment and maybe if you mind your own business, you would undersand that some people have lives other than youtube.

  • i bet u were like, omg i am gunna die!!! den u realized oh, i am wearing fpv tingy.:)

  • @bowlingwithzombies yes 100% true

most scaring was the fact that I knew 3 sec. before the crash that "I'm going to die" ;-)

I have tried to raise the transmitter antenna for better reception but it was God's wish lol

  • @muni86 Hehe, like a dream without happy end ;-) Crashing heli is not nice, but it looks little bit funny with black screen of death at the end ;-)

  • Isn't this the song from left for dead

  • @tyler13514 maybe if you watched the whole video you would know.

  • futaba recievers work mutch better

  • Good to hear you went away with a black eye, you are doing amazing videos and flights, I wish I would be there already :-)) Please keep on sharing ;-)

  • god damn l4d music

  • Thats why you dont cheap out on radio control equipment ;)

  • @magicmike1122 The receiver wasn't cheap, but I have learned my lesson ;-)

  • what is fpv?thx

  • @ddaannm2 First Person View

  • If it was a plane it would have only cost you $1.25 in duct tape. My Hawk Sky still flys perfect despite the fact that the nose has been broken into five separate pieces, tail in four, canopy in three, rear fuselage in three, right wing in two and prop in two (held together with 25c super glue).

  • i didnt get how this was in any way funny...

    VG, Frank

  • The RC helicopter needs to use GPS and software to provide height feedback on the screen

  • @davepamn =OSD, watch my FPV plane videos

  • schade....

  • lol left 4 dead music classic.

  • Siento lo del helicoptero

  • :( I like your videos

  • ups 0.o

  • OUCH!!!! You've "been there" prob more times than me, and I got those those "usual" repairs down to about an hour fix, and a test flight away from being dialed again....glad you have a sense of humor about it! This is very cool stuff!

  • Hi, I use a Corona RP8D1 & have no probmlems over a mile away. Although i do find the resolution a little low compared to a futaba dual conversion the corona beats it on range every time. Can't wait to see more vids soon :0)

  • @MadGilly OK thanks for the tip!!!

But please what altitude do you have, which RC transmitter, original RX antenna length? Video transmitter power and distance to the RC receiver, close to a city or "in the middle of nowhere"?

  • @muni86 Alt around 3-400 feet somtimes more as it depends on my location, TX is a futaba ff6 35mhz. RX antenna length is original, ive tryed double the length and it may improve the range slightly but havent dared push it much further ! Video transmitter power is 700mw 1.2ghz around 150mm away from RC RX. Not in the middle of nowhere but a few miles away from the city, still close to uban and inustrial areas. I dont have an OSD so i use google distance calc and landmarks to check range :0)

  • @MadGilly it sounds VERY good but I think the low resolution is not good for helicopters

  • @muni86 Yes its not the best for a heli but i improved stabilty by adding weights to the flybar behind the paddles. This works great on my belt cp and my HK 450,stops it being as twitchy it the hover. It is more at home in my Eaststar though. Have you thought about a spectrum 2.4ghz TX & RX with a wi-fi booster mod on the TX ? Or a Futaba dual conversion ?

  • @MadGilly Maybe "Scherrer UHF" would be the best but this would be an overkill, I only need 500m at low altitude and 1 km at high altitude

I think I'm doubling the RX antenna length and make some range tests, I can't give up a 163 Euro receiver

Of course a crash could be much more expensive than a new transmitter and receiver.........

  • @muni86 Yes i'm sure one of the long range uhf setups would work but for me the more money that i put in the air takes away from the fun factor ! :0) Well i hope you get it sorted and keep us posted. On a different subject to save some weight & drag remove the case on your 3dbi antenna, they normaly just pull off with a wiggle and twist :-)

  • @MadGilly damn the antenna is glued into the casing- destroyed

but I have a small Lawmate antenna :-)

  • @muni86 Thats strange, I have a few of them and they seemed to come apart to easy ! Whats destroyed ? I had the solder on the can come away from the braid before.PM me if you like ?

  • @MadGilly I have pulled out the center pin and it was not possible to fix it

the antenna was fixed in the casing with a metal bushing

no problem I have planned to use the small Lawmate antenna anyways, 21g instead of 27g

now its possible to place the antenna a bit more away from the RC receiver

  • @muni86 Sorry i should of explained it better :-( I remove the antenna sheth, the part above the pivot not below.I haven't had much luck with the lawmate type antennas, had loads of video drop out at small range. I use a multi meter on the rssi pin in my RX to compare antennas.

  • @MadGilly don't worry, the antenna was fixed in the upper part ;-)

a knob is soldered to the middle of the antenna, a bushing below prevents the antenna from being pulled out

  • OH no!, I think your idea of "funny" is slightly different to mine! ;)

I'm pleased to see it did not cost too much to repair though.

  • WOW i was like how far is he gonna go then BAM

i am srry for your loss

  • @FRYEGUY247 lol so was I. I was like wow thats a long ways.

Good thing not to expensive though. Be back in air in no time!
