@SibSpi yeah they do, the game has obscorp as a main element of the plot, and the movie has the lizzard, they chose gwen stacy because we had enough of mj last time, and it draws inspiration from darker, more complex stories, that take risks, like, say, not leaving out huge plot points like what the hell happened 2 his parents!

The only appearance of his parents ends up being imposters, not his real parents. It took a long time before they were revealed as imposters and killed from the story. This movie and game will essentially be making up some kind of prologue to the Spiderman comics that never existed, to my knowledge.
