Nah, Jeff is in his 20's for this video. If you can't hear a bit of what he's carried forward in his newer songs on this, then you're not listening hard enough. Summerteeth is the biggest departure they've ever had. I love it, but if you're looking for the thing that doesn't fit, that is it.

early wilco is almost foreign for me-i dont think this kidn of music was as meaningful or natural to tweedy.

tweedy's voice also seems so much different in this video.

This shit is awesome. Yankee is their best work by far followed by summerteeth and A Ghost is born but I personally think A.M. is a better album than sky blue sky; lyrics alone. but to say this music isn't meaningful to tweedy is absurd. it was as meaningful to him when he wrote it as it still is today.

agreed man. as much as i love this song and other very early ones i don't think they really found their sound until Summerteeth, which is still probably my favorite album of theirs even as great as their three albums following it were.
