There are many Kung-Fu styles and drunkenstyle is not really for fighting its more for attacking dodge. They should show a fight with a Shaolin and a Kyokushin master and not this one. Its clear that the Japanese want us to show their best side. Finally i think that Kung-Fu is more diverse than Karate but both are grate martial arts.

If you keep a distance on karate you're dog meat, these guys can kick with serious power. Jitsu has the advantage in regards getting in close and strangling them on the ground.
Certain styles of Kungfu has proved very limited aginst power arts like Karate and Ju Jitsu but this fight id NOT staged, its more of an exibition, testing of skills.
It was great watching those very different fighting styles. It was a great video, but realistically, they are no good without any knowledge of ground fighting or a better stand up. But it was still great watching this.
drunken style is one of the most dufficult to perform...like monkey style it cannot be done by anyone. if one spends so much time 'pretending' to be drunk but isn't fast enough to dogde or fast enough to attack then it's useless against sth like kyokushin.
At 00:34 if that guy had actually intergrated some power, the kyokushin guy woulda been on his ass, anyways it's not about the style, it's about who the fighter is and how far he takes his martial arts and what extremities he pushes himself to.

i love this vid. its clearly shows the distinct difference between karate and kung fu. karate being direct, and purposeful in its methods, and kung fu, getting their heads kicked in because too much effort was spent on maintaining the "drunken man" style and not enuough on fighting.

what people are forgetting is that this is sparring. full power is not used, and they adhere to form. what really tests a martial art is when form is broken, or when it is compromised. would the kicks work if multiple people rushed you constantly? how much energy is used for each attack? how much damage could you take? sparring is a useful tool for training, but not a complete indicator of combat ability
