  • bON TEMPS! well done

  • Cool version, and well done!!

  • REALLY NICE GUITAR MUSIC!!!!!

  • Well done, better sounding than the song done by Jim Stafford.

  • Great version of a great song I had forgotten from another lifetime! Really well done.

  • ...I came bak here a few times now, buddy does a very good performance of Staffords epic,. more of a set tempo,it sounds Great!. Staffords Gloom classic depicts the eviroment of the Horror's of Quarantine near the Black Cajun Rivers. The Camera Work makes good as well, seems to fall into The chronicle as the Tragedy Ends!!!

  • How'd you get that Strat to sound like that? What amp are you using and are the pickups stock? Great sound and song....good job....

  • DILLON !

  • Excellent,,,,,,,,

  • I lived on black water so it's kind funny

  • Yep...to do a rendition that's better than the original...well, that takes some doing, but you, Sir, have mastered it more than could be imagined! The original 3:47 version fit the radio req's and Jim Stafford was a genius with lyrics but your embellishments are something even he would appreciate...and admire! Thank you indeed for posting this!

  • Dude. you are very good! That is an awesome version of that song. KEEP IT UP!

  • this is what great music sounds like . danny kidd

  • I agree with ThsEldora regarding the "spoken" parts and the studio effects"---excellent interpretation on your part, guy fanguy, very entertaining! I wish I could have been there for your editing, you have great shots, and the effect from them would have been as intense as Jim's version: the note on the stump would have burnt edges, and I would have panned left across the smoke th1st viewing of Shack, and panned left for "fetch" the same way. Fetch" would have sky THEN tree branches, etc

  • Awesome what a great song!

  • wow love this song <3

  • Holy Catfish Momma! I like your version even better than the original by Jim Stafford, so smooth and bluesy!, just beautiful.. However because of the "spoken" parts and the studio effects, the original has a greater impact for those that remember it.

  • Sweet tunes takes me back!
