watch?v=2NexHRE4SZA I used your booster method but stacked one more cart into the stack and left the track the same in the booster section and went 10,500+ tracks ;P video proof above if anyone wants to test it them selfs I can upload the world for ya.
@thenamelles You can make tracks and stations in the nether, but if you run a minecraft into a portal I believe it sends you to the top of the nether to your death :D
how did u make the curve on your booster that puts it back in its place? i cant get the track to curve , it connects to the wrong piece, causeing me to have to go outward instead of direcly turning around
Really hope notch adds in actually train stuff someday and not just modded minecart stuff. I know he has said no to going past a certain tech level like guns but maybe steam power since metal, coal, and water are all in the game. Steam Engines ftw :D
It's disappointing because you seem like a nice guy but we don't know much about you personally :/ Because you posted a few videos not related to minecraft a few months or years ago.
@VaultTechGaming No, I got that straight from the guy who does it. Actually, if you watch his videos, he has sped it up by like 8 times. That's why you see it change from day/night a couple of times in a video, whereas in this video, I go almost the same distance in a single day and about 1/2 of one night.
Instead of running so much track for the demonstration, couldn't you create a loop track that can be connected to a redstone counter to count the laps? That way you don't have to lay down so much track for your demonstration.
@KibbeZero Heh, that plan has since been suggested to me. Oh, well, I probably should have done it that way, but I've since just switched to using a map editor to lay 2k strips of track with a just a couple of clicks. The track is up to about 15k at this point.
It would be a much better video if you just showed the minecarts going really really fast. Most people don't care about the backinfo like the challenge etc.
@wpftutorial It was a video that was specifically intended to be a response to the challenge, not something formatted as a tutorial or as an "ohh pretty!!" video. The point is the challenge; the actual riding is just there for proof.
@gummiankaStudios For the same reasons I created the double booster in the first place. The circle boosters are extremely glitchy, change directions, and can't really be fit into an automated station.
This is something you can use practically in a regular station, and will achieve extreme distances.
What program did you use for those huge walls? MCedit?

I want to see this go over 9000 blocks. So then I could tell people that the power level of this booster is over 9000.

well it would have been alot easier if you used the quad booster ( /watch?v=ogV-NwNKT24 < and i think he used a 1 minecart booster).

I think the intercontinental railway was done using a mod that keeps your cart going forever. powered carts are EXTREMELY slow...

@necramar Nice, hopefully soon we will see how many tracks it can actually run then :-)
KibbeZero 1 year ago
@necramar isnt it possible to make an unlimited booster by using a double minecart and sit in on of them??
aullikTheBrain 10 months ago
@KibbeZero I think you can't do that without significantly slowing the minecart down.
tistione 1 year ago
@tistione Probably true, but as long as it is consistent you can calculate the speed loss.

This may sound stupid but couldn't you have just made a loop of track and just count how many times you went around?
JesusOfSuburbia94 1 year ago
@JesusOfSuburbia94 Yeah, I could have. But I'm pretty sure I would have lost count somewhere around the 50th or 60th lap. XD
And this is a little easier to show on video.
