Snorkel kits are useless on the commander, the hood vent is the intake for the air.

And even then it has two resiviors for air intake. You have to sink the utv above the top of the hood before you will drown the machine.

@SneakyGoomba The belt exhaust, in the stock location, is very low. Water about 30" deep would get the belt wet. The belt intake is a little higher, but not much. Also, the engine intake is a little lower than the glove box. So, with the snorkels, we can run in water up to the steering wheel with no problems.

@ATRTed In order to ride many state public trails, your vehicle must be able to pass between marked posts which measure 50 inches wide. I think the original intention of the width limits was to prevent Jeeps, etc. from using the trails. Most, if not all, 4-wheelers are narrow enough, but the limits were set prior to the side x side introduction into the market. As far as I know, the Rzrs are the only ones with a wheel base of 50 inches- unless you upgrade it. Even the Rzr S is too wide.

I love the looks , design and the trick storage perks of the Can Am but after seeing it play this weekend I absolutely would not get one, seems the mid engine makes it nose dive like a duck full of game load?........ It was totally unorthodox in comparison to my rzrs .... Yes I got walked but when we jumped trail and launched off bumps and berms I actually felt bad for the fella driving the can am cause it nosed down on any bump bigger than a beer can....... You can keep that!

There was a guy in Washington state that went around a gate with his truck, got caught, costs $1000s in damages which he was accountable for. Its all about using your noodle.
