When I first bought this game back in college, I assumed I would be playing someone on the ship from the intro FMV. So I kept watching and waiting and getting more and more invested in the people on the ship. By the time the captain set the destruct sequence at the end I remember I was literally clutching my controller so hard that my knuckles were white.

I'll never forget the summer I first got this OST. I was in high school in 2003 or so. Had a CD player, and I would play the entire first disc at night to help me sleep. I remember hearing this track for the first time and thinking that video games could truly be art.
