Throughout that whole episode, Dr. Cox was trying his best to help but just didn't know how to deal with it. It's good to know that he would be there if JD ever needed him through a serious crisis like getting through someone's death and grief and we all know JD does his best for Dr. Cox. I love that whole father and son relationship they have.
@YoshikazeCanti He's not very big over here in the UK but I remember him primarily as being the scary robot Ted in the episode of the same name on Buffy. Also on 8 Simple Rules and of course Scrubs. He seemed like a funny guy and talented actor.
I'm becoming a nurse and watched this show through my previous degree and working as a psw and I have to say that this show will always resonate with me and the things in my life and career.
i think because, even though hes potrayed as a scary evil guy, hes actually ver caring when he wants to be, which is why i think people gravitate towards him :)
rumor is that John McGinley is neighbors with the Chris Chelios. thats why in the episodes where perry wears a hockey jersey its alwas the Red Wings and Chris Chelios' number
i hate how they can make a random patient die and the episode is really sad, but when the main characters father dies he doesnt really cry, and the episode isnt as deep as the others? wtf?
I don't agree with that completely. Whilst he doesn't cry or become incredibly emotional, this is still a very deep and touching episode. It's a very different kind of mourning; more of a celebration of someone's life really.
Besides, John Ritter doesn't seem like the type who would want to be remembered by crying instead of laughing.
This song is replaced by Jeremy Kay's "Wine and Roses" on the iTunes version. I'm not sure if it is also on the DVD version. It creates a completely different mood than "Stop Joking Around."
