  • shouldnt it be hispaniola, not haiti? the question asks for an island, not a country...

  • That's not the mention, the quizmaster's an experienced broadcaster, and the contestants are not. He's got to read the news every night, he's probably trained himself to not need a drink.

  • Thanks for your astute answer, I agree. I couldn't find many episodes, could you?

  • why, ever time they answer a question they need a sip of water when the quizmaster, who talks the most, never has a drink, extraordinary! I love this programme, thanks for posting it.

  • I think it's psychological. They don't really need a drink but just instinctively pick up their glass because of the awkwardness of not knowing how to behave whilst being applauded. Or possibly it's nervousness, which can give you a dry mouth.

  • Cause excessive brain activity causes dehydration, and in a quiz, it is quite obvious the PARTICIPANTS THINK, ass opposed to the quizmaster, who only READS !!! True, the quizmaster must have a sore throat from all that talking, but he doesn't have the time drink water, since he has to squeeze in as many questions as possible in 30 minutes. Besides, maybe he is taking a sip when the camera is not on him. You may never know.
