Simply fuckin awesome! I was in the crowd so many times at the Barras watching these guys in the 90`s and it brings back so many great memories. One of the best live bands I have ever seen, just pure talent and stage presence!

hey are the same, as far as this band goes, there is another band in Yank land called the mission, so these guys tiook on the the UK at the end of their name. They are a spinoff of the cult, and the Sisters of mercy. Met them all in various assortments, Wayne is one of the nicest most mellow unpretentious people I have ever met.

The mission see them live at Aylesbury Friars 1986 what a gig...... One of the best. Got the video of the gig as well and still watch it fantastic.

After a few tears in the wilderness I've just downloaded all their albums - had them on tape n cd before!! n have to say I so regret not going to see them on the last tour. Wayne still does it for me!

I saw the Mish a lot of times but one of the best gigs was the Appollo manchester around 87,88.

Wayne Hussey one side of the stage Simon Hinkler the other with this strobe effect going on and the effect just blew me away.

I will never forget that song, that performance and that Gig. I still think Wayne is one of the most charisnatic performers you will ever see on stage.

As someone who's goth musical influence started in '89 when at college, I have to agree that Wayne and the boys looked better then. However can you imagine Bruce Dickinson being able to fly a 757 with hair down to his arse. The point is that we evolve over time, both physically, spiritually and mentally. I am sad that Wayne has decided that The Mission is a part of his life that he wishes to let go. but I hope he does well, and in my mind The Mission will be one of my fave bands of all time
