lets all teleport back to the 80s,, anyone in? LOL i dont care if u r not, ill go alone,, to my time capsule i go ---->>>> (if it breaks down ill b upset :( ) would b awsome tho to go to a concert of theirs back in the day,, ughh,,, where r these teleporters? not in my lifetime i guess... LOL :P
Simply fuckin awesome! I was in the crowd so many times at the Barras watching these guys in the 90`s and it brings back so many great memories. One of the best live bands I have ever seen, just pure talent and stage presence!
hey are the same, as far as this band goes, there is another band in Yank land called the mission, so these guys tiook on the the UK at the end of their name. They are a spinoff of the cult, and the Sisters of mercy. Met them all in various assortments, Wayne is one of the nicest most mellow unpretentious people I have ever met.
After a few tears in the wilderness I've just downloaded all their albums - had them on tape n cd before!! n have to say I so regret not going to see them on the last tour. Wayne still does it for me!
The Church is good The Cult fantastic, but Wayne here singing, ex-member - Sisters of Mercy but hell its Goth, if you not into that, i don't see why you are reading my comments. -peace out-
I saw the Mish a lot of times but one of the best gigs was the Appollo manchester around 87,88.
Wayne Hussey one side of the stage Simon Hinkler the other with this strobe effect going on and the effect just blew me away.
I will never forget that song, that performance and that Gig. I still think Wayne is one of the most charisnatic performers you will ever see on stage.
had tickets 4 that gig at Manchester apollo but missed out on that one but go to see than at N E C birmingham we had to remove all are studded belts that night hussy cane on stage whit belts all over him
They hardly recovered from not being in The Sisters Of Mercy any longer. A few good riffs and some chants but the whole deal was already dealt in 1985.
dipshits always have their say. taste is subjective, since you like the sisters so much, how about going to THEIR youtube vids and post some grandoise opinions there
As someone who's goth musical influence started in '89 when at college, I have to agree that Wayne and the boys looked better then. However can you imagine Bruce Dickinson being able to fly a 757 with hair down to his arse. The point is that we evolve over time, both physically, spiritually and mentally. I am sad that Wayne has decided that The Mission is a part of his life that he wishes to let go. but I hope he does well, and in my mind The Mission will be one of my fave bands of all time
Gimme break !
