I was 10 when I watched this on video, and the subject matter went right over my head. Took another decade for me to warm up to it, but I'm glad I did.

Susan George and Barry Evans have an unusual chemistry and really do carry the film's low points. One particular stand-out moment is the scene where he studies her face for a bit and then asks, "Your place or mine?" Very sensuous, indeed.

After that, I looked forward to more years of seeing Evans in intense roles -- but it was not to be.
