  • I hate when they don't tell you how many years the bad guys got!

  • @Snoep76239 I wholly agree with you.

  • @Snoep76239 for a shooting crime like that probably 40 years to forever.

  • women get less time and their carpeted prizo is much easier, its bull so if your a criminal with a girl, have her do the crime !!!

  • no mags in there m16,s

  • how many tunnels were there?

  • @michaelisbell Three, I think. I went through Cody a few years ago and I recall there being two small tunnels and one long one.

  • @allgood2000 I have a ? Is the road the tunnels on US Hwy 20,14, & 16 or SR 296 ? Those are the only 2 roads I have seen on a map that lead into yellowstone from Cody.

  • @michaelisbell there are 3 tunnels there. 2 short and one very long one. once out of the tunnels it is a 2 lane highway that goes directly to the east entrance of Yellowstone Park.

  • 1. That dispatcher deserves a frickin medal

    2. Why not kill your lights while slow-pursuing suspects who are trying to kill you?

    3. "Quick, take cover!!!!!!!" Way to announce your arrival, dumbass

  • at 1:20 I could hear an officer say "oh shit!"

  • What did the female suspect do to serve time? Why would she be guilty of any crime?

  • @ILovestorms She was driving the car.

  • @allgood2000 So she is what you would call an accessory to the crime.

  • @ILovestorms Yes, and we don't know what other crimes she may have been involved in. The car and the guns were stolen, so this probably wasn't the first crime that the suspects had committed.

  • @allgood2000 did the suspects' car have the license plate of Wyoming

  • @michaelisbell im pretty sure it was a Wyoming plate

  • hopefully those officers were wearing bulletproof vests

  • @michaelisbell In a small town like that in 1983, I doubt it.

  • @ILovestorms

She was an accomplice and probably helped steal the car, but probably copped a plea deal: less jail time for testifying against the others

  • Is it Cody Wyoming

  • @Lostgetfound yeah it was

  • Did anybody notice that there was so magazine in the Police Officer's Rifle?

  • This show is tight.

  • I rode through those tunnels in 2000. They are very narrow, The suspects had no escape.

  • @vector6977 I wonder how many lanes are in those tunnels

  • I've been through those tunnels...the ones by the hydro plant, right?

How could a chase proceed through those? They are narrow...

  • It's a beautiful sight when you see all those lights and uniforms headed your way!!

  • It's also a beautiful sight to see shooting suspects thrown in a police car

  • thats what the get, i feel bad for the guy in the bar that got shot an died but good work guys.

  • i feel bad for that dispatcher they need more than one dispatcher even if it is a small town then they can get more help to them faster

  • 19,081 views now 3/27/09

  • i could not understand a damn word the cop was saying for the first time on the speaking device

  • Bring this show back!!!

  • nothing that epic or great ever happens

they won't give the people what they want

  • Islandfad,

I agree. But with all new episodes from this decade. They could bring back a much older (and wider William Shatner) :) He'd be back doing a "reputable" job instead of those god awful PRICELINE commercials! :)

  • Wider? I guess...

  • They act like they think they're the Hole In The Wall Gang, or something. Nutballs.

  • i hate criminals but hey they do have a good taste in the car their driving it was a 1983 dodge aries k

  • @jakesaintsrow123 and the Dodge Aries was named after the zodiac sign which is what I am

  • good police job

  • Are those Army men arresting the first suspect?

  • i think that was a swat force, and yes.

  • That's the SWAT Team.

  • Then Why are they dressed in Camoflague.

  • The SWAT team dresses that way. I'm not sure why but think it has to do with comfort.

  • to blend in in the wooded envrionments so as not to be easily spotted. otherwise its just solid blues or blacks for urban areas

  • @CloneTrooper74 are you a star wars fan

  • they're SWAT... SWAT wheres camo in some states....

  • god man i know i sound heartless but those assholes that killed the man and shoot at the officers should have died no matter if it was a shootout or the death penalty poeple like that dont deserve to live

  • That's Right.

  • no shit i guess thats y they got away power to the crook

  • when that guys car got knocked out y did he not get in the other cops car that ways the cops have a shooter

  • They couldnt fire back....like one of them says when they fire they have to worry were that bullet will hit. If a shot were to miss the suspect vehicle then it could riccochet off of something and possibly come back at the police

  • They could run him off the road...

  • 14,545 views right now!

  • I was wondering that too... What was the cop gonna do, make sure the car was safe? I'd back up my buddies first.

  • hey 14,000 views

  • the town of cody is mentioned in the lisa marie kimmell case on unsolved mysteries...

  • yea we are stll laid back but we had beter cops then now we have swat and bomb squad

  • I've been to Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. It's a nice place to see wildlife, waterfalls, mountains, lakes, rivers, and the interesting volcanic activity including Old Faithful.

  • all the cops should have opened fire on tehe cabin! that would have been sweet!

  • This video is one truth or???

  • It is a true story, but it is re-enacted.

  • I lived there during it I now live 30 miles up the road bad renactment though if you look most of the chse they are driving up and down the same road and where they say they are they are not

  • Which episode was it that came after this one? The one that they said "up next"?

  • Episode 219 - "911 Smoke-Filled Apartment"

  • Thanks. :D

  • Look how nice the cops are! In this day and age cursing, beating and the such would have been undertaken almost immediately. I realize its a show but I can relate that the cops from the 80's and 90's were alot more polite then the ones today. (mostly not their fault as the training system is different now and criminals are more aggressive and numerous.) just my opinion.

  • You are right. Back then, the cops were nice to people and never abuse no suspect plus they were shinny then. But now today they're becoming bad cops, they're fat and they go brutality a suspect.

  • Let's not forget that in a place like Wyoming, it tends to be somewhat of a laid-back society, in contrast to more urban areas. So the insouciance associated with it is probably instilled in the personality of the civilians and authorities. Incidents like this are probably rare where this occured.

Now if this happened in say, L.A. or New York for instance, I'm sure they'd be a lot more aggressive.

  • @vigilante11485 or even Phoenix, San Diego, Reno, or Las Vegas

  • You got to hand it to them- it's very rare today to see police working together this long and this hard to catch a criminal. Where I live, the police don't follow up on half the murders, because they're Katrina/drug related, and it's frivolous to pursue the case, as they'll probably end up dead soon anyway. Many see it as a cleansing process. But I wish they would work like these officers did.

  • I hope that the suspect who fired the gun in the bar was sentenced to at least life in prison if not capital punishment.

  • If I was the cops, I'd have lit them up with 5,000 rounds if they even presented ONE ounce of threat.

  • I don't know a lot about police procedure, but from watching TV it seems to be against most departments' policies to fire a gun from a moving vehicle. Plus, as they said, the street was lined with houses and there were probably other vehicles on the road. If the officers returned fire, it would increase the chances of innocent bystanders being shot.

  • @allgood2000 usually that would depend on the city where they work

  • go to tvshowsondvd, com and vote on rescue 911 to come out on dvd, rescue 911 has 434 votes

  • I'm glad the cops finally got the suspects. I'm also glad a shootout didn't occur.

  • i wish this show was still aired:(

  • When reruns were once aired on both Oddesy/Halmark Channel and Discovery Health Channel, the episodes were all edited for time. The next time the reruns of Rescue 911 are shown on television, don't edit them for time. Then we wouldn't get the whole story.

  • All the 30-minute syndicated episodes were edited when they were re-formatted for syndication, Hallmark and DHC had nothing to do with it. There were a couple of cuts that I did notice DHC/Hallmark making though. In the episode where the woman crashed and impaled her neck on a fence post, DHC cut out a good two minutes. And in an episode where a man follows a bank robber in his car, Hallmark cut a scene out (that one didn't air in DHC.

  • I used to love this show. Do you know if they show reruns on any network?

  • Not that I know of, but I haven't checked in a while. There are usually some obscure European and Asian channels that show it in syndication, but I don't know of any U.S. Channels.

  • awesome movie
