I'm going to have an entrance exam tomorrow and it's always Math that fails me, so I decided to watch the video of yours to have some kind of a refreshment of my basic Math lessons..^_^
i did watch your videos and they are great but they lack of in depth problems that's all i am saying i even watched your pre algebra videos in which in fact helped me but the fraction video lack of harder problems that students as myself are going threw. I sat here for the past three or so hours watching all the fraction lesson 6 videos but i have yet to see a mixed problem dealing with addition and subtraction to solve.
Do keep in mind these lessons are meant as a REVIEW for students planning to do algebra. I do not do EVERY type of problem in them. However, I do cover all what you describe in these videos. You may need to put the pieces together yourself. Sorry about that. I do hope to do special fraction videos for grade school kids that start from scratch. It will be some time before these videos are made.
The LCD is covered in Video Clip #4 of Lesson 6. I think you are not watching ALL the Lesson 6 videos. That is why you are not getting it. For the problem above, since all numbers are prime, just multiply to together to get the LCD. Watching Lesson 5 would help too, since I cover LCM there.
I like your videos thanks a lot it really helps

how do i find the least common denominator on those fractions?
I am breaking my head trying to figure it out
I also do not see any in depth procedure in how to add and subtract in the same problem like so..
18/13-10/17+3/2=?
how would i find the LCD in a problem like this?
I tried using your method trying the factoring tree but does not help

I am stuck in a problem, i need to find out what would be the quickest way to solve such a problem as so.
38/15+29/8+155/18=?
Would you happen to have any videos explaining this method? Can i find a pdf format that would give a basic step by step break down?

Ummm... *THIS* video explains it. The PDF file is found on my website. Click the "PDF Printshop" link on my homepage.
