  • Rainbow...best...

  • Epic, and so awesome !!!!!!!!

  • we are celebrating our 21st anniversary today.we have two teenage kids, and i have 22 yrs clean and sober. Some of us made something of our lives after the 60s.marriage and family are the best, but it takes everyone working at it. good luck in the future atomic punk.

  • @TheHerbdude Thanks for the well wishes. Been clean myself for a number of years. Still working on the sober part.

  • @TheHerbdude Also, Happy Anniversary. Sounds like you deserve it.

  • @TheHerbdude Like your share, like your style. I'm meeting with my spoosor on sunday. he's got 25yeras C&s. I'm working on16, nice to see someone on here with time and good taste in music.

  • one of the most greatest and fantastic voices i have ever heard in my entire life...

  • saw these guys back in 83 opening up for the great Blue Oyster Cult....one of the few times ever that BOC lost the battle of the bands......great night, great show....before the dawn of MTV....MTV killed rock and it was done on purpose!!!

  • I posted this video when i was 15, what the hell is wrong with everyone else that age?

  • @BlackSabbath4Ever "video"

  • @BlackSabbath4Ever i´m 15 years old and i listen to this kind of music, a lot of teenage listen rock and metal, but the midia just show those crap like rap and this stuff

  • @BlackSabbath4Ever Just wish Blackmore hadn't gotten possessed by some Medieval lute player. Should've stuck with his Gibson and "Chasing Shadows".

  • I love this band i always did, fantastic song :))

  • 20 PEOPLE USE ABBA DILDOS IN THE SHOWER ON FRIDAY NIGHTS...

  • 268seconds worthing ,each and every one ,to spend from your life

  • FM rock, not bat but Dio never sold his soul for fame and money.

  • @praetorianus72 But Ronnie James Dio is in a class of his own. Chuck Norris would never start beef with him....he's untouchable. R.I.P.

  • @praetorianus72 Ritchie didn't either, so what are u saying?

  • GREAT Track! Joe Lynn Turner smooth vocals for a COOL song. Thanks Man!

  • @TechReviews161 Awesome hard Rock bands out there now. They are: Shinedown, Seether, Godsmack, 3 Days Grace, Advenge Sevenfold, Cold, Evenesence, 12 Stones, 3 Doors Down, Crossfade, 10 years, Skillet, Theory of a Deadman, Breaking Benjamin, Adelita's Way, Chevelle, Disturbed, Halestorm, Papa Roach, & best Rock Rap infusion EVER Linkin Park. BTW I'm 45 and I like ALL rock as long as it is of good quality.

I agree with Bieber. Katie Perry, Ke$ha and him could fuck-off.

  • @HappyBunny8one2 Of all those bands you mentioned, I'll admit that I like a few songs by Seether, Shinedown and 3 Doors Down. But one thing I notice about most of todays bands is they have unpleasant guitar sounds and all sound alike in my opinion......it's not like the past when you heard Ritchie Blackmore, Eddie Van Halen, Mathias Jabs, Glenn Tipton, Joe Perry and so many more etc etc...you knew who they were and you knew their style.

  • @LongDrivesAtNight You hit the nail on the head brother. Everyone had their own style and when you heard their songs, you knew who they were. I like some of the new stuff, but most of these new bands are fuckin boring. Like you said, they all sound the same.

  • @LongDrivesAtNight By the way, I like your username. I work for Frito-Lay as a truck driver doing the overnight hours. Wish I had thought of that name.

  • @atomicpunk48 Thanks for the comments. I used to work alot of nightshifts some years ago...security and later another job at a car factory(Honda)...but never a driving job. I came up with the name because whenever I have a long trip somewhere like a holiday or even just a drive on the weekend, I enjoy driving at night..lol. Certain songs I also enjoy while driving at night...lol. Your name, from the Van Halen song 'Atomic Punk'?

  • @LongDrivesAtNight Yeah, when I first checked out YouTube, I clicked on that song. That first Van Halen album is one of my favorites. It sounded like a good username. I'm 48, but I've still got a teenager living inside of me.

  • @atomicpunk48 Well, I'm 38 and still have that "teenager" inside of me too and there's nothing wrong with that at all. Still listen to most of the music I enjoyed in my younger days and always will. Now if I could only track down Donna on facebook or some other way, things would be all set(old flame..I'm single..wonder if she is...lol)

  • @LongDrivesAtNight If i make it to 38, I will do the same!

  • @LongDrivesAtNight Funny you say that. I'm single again these days too, but be careful tracking down an old flame. You might not like what you find. I ran into an old girlfriend a few months ago that I was in love with in my early 20's. Didn't even recognize her.

  • @atomicpunk48 Thanks for the advice. I have to be careful...made some horrible choices in my 20s and don't want to repeat them again. Never been married but one GF I had just about destroyed my life and a few other people's as well.

  • @LongDrivesAtNight It's amazing how most of the people I meet all have the same story. I've never been married either, but I lived with the same girl for about 6-7 years. The first 2 or 3 years were great, the rest, not so great. If that's anything like marriage, count me out. I do regret not having kids, though. Have no desire to raise kids now at this point.

  • @atomicpunk48 Yes, it is amazing. Sure there are lots of happily married people out there, but I keep meeting so many that are divorced, separated etc...and many of them are at younger ages...frightening really. Have worked with a couple of guys who also joyfully cheat on their wives and it always bothered me why I never found "the one" and these guys are arsewipes, yes women do it too...Something wrong nowadays, also maybe the internet causing people to do things?...sad really

  • @LongDrivesAtNight Most of my friends are now divorced or separated and they seem to a have a lot of problems. Depression, financial, and so on. The ones that are still married don't seem all that happy either. They keep telling me that I've got it made out there. So how come guys like us don't see it that way? By the way, just got home from a long night drive. Brought this CD with me. Actually, the greatest hits CD. Stone Cold is another good one.

  • @atomicpunk48 Yeah, I got a few friends like that too. My sis n laws bro just had his wife walk out on him last year. Marriage seemed fine, but she was "chatting" alot with some other guy online and decided to take off with that guy. Now that has fallen apart and she tried to get her marriage back but he told her to get lost...can't blame him either. Lots of that stuff going on nowadays, sad really..lots of broken hearts, broken homes, disappointed children etc...

  • @atomicpunk48 It is like the old saying,"Damned if you do, Damned if you don't" The internet can make it VERY easy to get into trouble. I just got separated after some 25 years of marriage, we all seem to yearn for more instead of appreciating what we have. No ones situation will ever be perfect as we all can or could have taken different paths. That said, yes, be well advised to keep in mind of those who have split up and the hardship that the law now puts on the man .

  • @340rps ..Continued ... It should be illegal to get married before the age of 40. And I don't know if that would help. Not to turn you off to the idea, but just remember once you take that step into marriage there is no getting out without paying dearly. As my wife and I are both finding out, at this stage in our life, we both have a lot to lose by splitting up.

  • @LongDrivesAtNight ... 59 here , and still that teenager.

  • @HappyBunny8one2 You have a good sense of humor...

Evanescence is like Katy Perry with a backing band from off the shelf at Hot Topic. And the best rock/rap fusion is Rage Against the Machine.

  • @sex6cult9revolution I'm sucked in by Amy Lee's beautiful voice. My immortal is a great song. I love the kids who are soo tough while riding in Moms van to go to Hot Topic.

  • @sex6cult9revolution I love Rage as well but it is the older Linkin Park I'm talking about. I see that some of it is too commercially glossed.

  • There isn't one song on the radio today that even comes close to this quality of music. Not one. It really drives home how utterly terrible the hip hop/rap crap that dominates the waves today are.

  • great song,melody..his voice is extraordinary.

  • Im in my 40s and my generations music kicks ass.

    Music made by musicians.

  • best description on youtube - simple and to the point

  • oops!Richie

  • Rickie Blackmore is the best guitartist EVER. Yes! ever.

  • One of the great romantic songs of the ages. A classic in every way. Classy too. Heroic. Brings so many emotions out in me. Can't hear enough of it because it because it nurtures the soul. Ritchie and Jamie; Thank you for this masterpiece.

  • can someone please post a karaoke version of this song

  • This is good but DIO will make you run.

  • buena cancion

  • When your just sittin there wonderin what to do, Just rock it makes everything better. Rock will survive

  • Beyond Epic, Rainbow is the best and this is a nice clear upload, thanks Sab. You're right, there are very few bands of this caliber around now. My band, Neuromancer, used to cover this one. I'll tell you first hand, Don Airey is a hell of a tough customer to follow and a perfect match for Blackmore.

  • Great song!!!

  • In this song vocalist is Joe Lynn Turner !

He is one of my favourite vocalists !

  • @BlackSabbath4Ever, don't worry. Many 19 yeas olds from any generation would say that. I don't think it is the generation that is not right, it is just the phase you are going through.

  • @BlackSabbath4Ever Yes our generation sucks I'm also 19

  • @BlackSabbath4Ever - Don't worry about it ! i found sabbath, purple, dio , maiden, Rainbow .. about 30 years ago -> They still rock'it :)

  • @BlackSabbath4Ever Dude i`m 16, what can i say? I am the only metal/rock dude in my fucking town and everyone are freaked up by me i`m walking down the streets and they are staring like idiots cause i got long hair and rock./metal stuff ...i don`t really care about them but simultaneously i think, ,,i don`t want to live on this planet anymore.

  • @MetalAge19 I understand. I do not fit in with my so called generation. I freak out other MOMs' (mean-old- Mothers) when I tell them How much I like... say, Marilyn Mansions' version of Tainted Love. I LOVE "The beautiful People". Those bitches I used to love giving swirlies in School. I got a noise disturbance notice at 1' o clock on New Years for blaring "Parkway Drive". People freak when they hear I'm married to a 27 year old since 2005. Just tell them KMNWA --Kiss my naturally white ass!

  • @MetalAge19 Oh I know that...good for you for kepping it true though, you know where music is at. Long live metal!!!!

  • @BlackSabbath4Ever I know what you mean mate. 17 and the younger they are, the worse ^^

  • @MetalKrassy oh, I'm 14 and I listening to NORMAL music like this song

  • @BlackSabbath4Ever The fact that you recognized that "your generations sucks" means that there's hope that you probably won't suck in the future.

  • @BlackSabbath4Ever Even 19-year olds write that same old shit?

  • You are damn right it's epic.

And My two favorite bands of all time are Black Sabbath and Deep Purple, so I subbed.

  • @karlmoles65 Thanks man, This song means so much to me and i'm glad there's so many people out there that understand the meaning of good music.

  • @BlackSabbath4Ever You're welcome. It's good for me to know other people appreciate the genius of Sabbath, Purple, and Rainbow as well.

  • @BlackSabbath4Ever gOD bLESS yOU mY fRIEND...

  • @ENEMENCIO123VISION Thank you :)

  • @karlmoles65 I know you, brother. J. Geils fan. Seems like we're into the same stuff.

  • @atomicpunk48 Indeed. Big Geils fan. And cool.

  • @karlmoles65 Rainbow was one of my favorites. Everyone says Blackmore went commercial with this band, but I think they did OK. Had lots of good songs that I still like listening to. And I'm big into Deep Purple. Child in Time is a standout for me.

  • @atomicpunk48 Too many people bitch and moan about going commercial like it's a huge crime. Everyone that is in a Rock band hopes to make it big, who doesn't want to make money? It's life, not a crime. If a band makes music they love, that's awesome to hear and makes money doing it, what's wrong with that? Oh, and Purple? My second favorite of all time. And my all time favorite song? ...Child In Time.

  • @karlmoles65 Still trying to figure out why Deep Purple isn't in the R n R Hall of Fame. Is it because of Ritchie's personality? If that's the reason, it's just not right. I thought I was the only person in the world that was still listening to Child in Time.

  • @atomicpunk48 Probably because the R&RHOF are a bunch of corporate whores, Madonna is in there, it's silly. And nope, I am too, along with the rest of In Rock, and Fireball, and Taliesyn, and Stormbringer, and Burn, Come Taste The Band, Shades, etc etc.

  • @karlmoles65 That song.....BURN! I wore that sucker out when I was a kid. It still gets my blood flowing. I'm gettin a little older, but I'm still burning on the inside.

  • Haven't heard this song in so long, I have missed it.

  • Like we never parted!!!

  • the dislike buttom should disappear !

  • Graham Bonnet got a bit weird over the years (personality-wise), still a good singer, that's want the fans want, I guess...

  • I noticed that the uploader said absolutely not in a reply to Rock and Roll will never die. He was just agreeing with the comment. Rock and Roll will never die. It absolutely will not. Yet the comment has been buried.

  • 12 dislikes? wtf he he

  • Joe Lynn Turner is one of the best singers a band can hope for and Ritchie Blackmore is my hero, I just wish I was around to see them live before Ritchie Blacmore left the group :(

  • hhhhooora !! you and this song....hhooooooora

  • Beutiful said, well done !

  • I prefer more Dio Rainbow, but with JLT they made some of the most beautiful songs I ever heard!

  • does anyone knows who is the singer ?

  • This song was also released mid-80's on an album featuring various metal artists, which included 'Rainbow in the Dark'. Does anyone know the name of this album?...

  • @BlackSabbath4Ever Why would you say that???

  • @RotApple0 Because 90% of people that read that don't understand that when he said "R'n'R will never die" and I said "absolutely not", that i was actually agreeing with him. Kinda funny if you ask me

  • @BlackSabbath4Ever :D i needed 20 seconds to understand it but i did and i Absolutely agree with you

  • @BlackSabbath4Ever lol. That actually is funny

  • @BlackSabbath4Ever i laughed....shiat. people do not have sense of humor smh

  • Black Sabbath and Ozzy 4 ever :D

  • arrostia! joe lynn turrner kai ta myala stakiglidomata!

  • Best thing Joe Lynn Turner did, he was usually the death knell for 80s hard rock acts, they'd make an album with him singing and then disintegrate.

  • Set the scene: 1983, three months of no radio access during Marine Corps boot camp. Allowed a couple of hours of base liberty...head straight to onbase electronic store, place a headset on, tune into a local radio station, crank it and the very first thing I hear is the first notes of this song....goosebumps, heart racing, adreneline pumping, ears ringing...I have never forgotten this song and even now, I still feel those same feelings...Rock the fuck on!!!

  • @atxff This is the best comment I think I've ever seen on YouTube : ) Great memories. but, now we're old and it's almost over. Still...ROCK THE FUCK ON!!! right back atcha ; )
