In my opinion, Mighty Aphrodite and Small Time Crooks are the best comedies of W.Allen. Sublime films of a genius; that's why most actors want to work in a Woody Allen film.

Ms. Carter is exceptional in this film as is Ms. Sorvino - and so beautifully written. However, it is interesting to see all the people on this board who think that one or the other actress is sexy. It really makes you think about the "genomic image" that each one of us carries with us of the perfect mate.

i love this movie, i have it on dvd XD i LOVE helena, shes absolutly gorgeous! mira is hillarious and i love woody 2....but ..dont hate me..i just find it a lil cringy that helena had to kiss him and hes like 30 something years older than her.....but i still love him tho lol

Come on!as much as i like Helena,it was definitely Mira's show.She was amazing as Linda and was also the best thing about the movie.Helena was a good supporting role as Allen's wife but her part was so ...small.The movie was about Mira's caracter.

Well, it WAS Woody Allen's movie. But Mira Sorvino stole it. Actually, if you think about it, her charcater was a lead in this movie.

That's what I thought, but sometimes the Academy reduces them to supporting nominations because the Academy feels they have a better chance winning in that category. For instance, Tatum O Neal was lead in Paper Moon, but they placed her in the supporting actress category.

I love Woody Allen. This movie was awesome and the ending was bitter-sweet. She doesn't have her son, but she found a great guy who loved her.
