If you chip or crack one an really cute thing to do with them is to put candles in them, or turn the whole thing into a candle by buying a candle-making set and pouring the wax into the cup to set. (Makes a great present). I saw a candle like that in a kitsch-y shop, and it cost £50! Was apparently a good seller too...

I have a large collection of vintage teacups myself; some inherited, some found on eBay, some at car boot sales and some at charity shops. There's such a variety out there and there are tons of fabulous British makers like Paragon, Colclough, Foley, Queen Anne & some lovely European producers too!

I live in the U.S. now, but I'm from Ukraine and people in Russian and Ukraine drink tea ALL the time (and it's hot, not cold like in america lol) and it's in pretty cups like the ones you showed :) I feel like I can relate to British culture in this way.. Americans don't drink much tea, especially hot.. usually it's cold tea and coffee.. I love everything British!!
