  • dude you gota take me fishing i live in cornwall!

  • where bouts is this?:)

    (in Cornwall)

  • Properrrrrrrr job me boooooty.

  • can you fish for bass year round or are they seasonal?

  • @mentalbarbell yearly, however, in winter, you wont catch much, in summer, you catch em all the time

  • AS I sit eating my toast its so nice to watch this action. Saturday morning cold and wet outside but in here its nice. Thanks for a great and very informative video

  • Great spot @ dawn, as is behind the Minack theatre @ Pothcurno. Certainly seems to be more happenning there at the mo. SAFETY NOTE. LEAVE MOUNTANEERING TO THE MOUNTAINEERS. KEEP AT LEAST ONE HAND FREE, PREF TWO IF CLIMBING IN THESE AREAS. TRY & ATTACH RODS TO RUCKSACK & KEEP ALL KIT IN BACK PACKS, ESPECIALLY IN THE DARK. ALSO WEAR BOOTS WITH GRIP NO WELLIES. DONT FORGET BREW KIT.

  • Cudden point, best way to descibe it. "The bit that sticks out most, oppopsite Mousehole in Mounts bay. Map = Lower Kenneggy. if you find out where "Car boot" is in rosudgeon on Wednesdays, take the long & winding track down to right before "Car boot / Cricket ground". First time I went down toPrussia Cove & walked arround, long scenic route. You'll find a tiny dairy and a Foly, type manor at the end, with a camp site & car park at the end. Use Bridal path @ entrance to car park 4 direct route.

  • Where bouts in Cornwall is this?

  • I like your style Ed, similar to where I went Saturday. Cudden point. Beautiful spot. Not so lucky as you tho, no fish bitin.

  • @IANGHARVEY Hey their, where abouts is Cudden Point? Closest i found on google maps was Mawgan Porth...? Did you catch much? And what lures did you use? Been going with a mate but both catching nothin, just the occasional mackeral as per usual.... Cheers, Sam nr. Camelford, Cornwall

  • The only thing I would do differently is I would take those fish home and cook 'em up instead of throwing 'em back...

  • @ccelli73 the keep limit is 36cm..these were all below that..

  • @wildoscar416 I see;)

  • @wildoscar416 Oh, I see:)

  • "Don't you wish you were down here, with me catching Baaass?"

    Quite honestly, no!

  • Brilliant Ed. Got my first Bass last week, what a buzz it was, I thought it was a whiting to begin with but cue a major celebration on the beach lol

  • can I eat Bass???

  • @GoodPrice1 ofcourse you can eat bass its one of if not the best sea fish out there makes most othes look like an old scabby horse.

  • What a legend

  • wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuaaaaaaaaaaaaaooooooooooooooo

  • What lure is he using and what are recommended.

    Great video.

    Great bloke.

    Great location.

  • @flyingdonjuan looks like a storm jointed thunderstick

  • @flyingdonjuan The lure was a joined J-13 Rapala (: Hope this helps

  • He is a cracking bloke, will help anyone out and does very well in the local Cornish matches fishing all methods, I recomend his double dvd set, spoilt for choice volume 1 & 2 which you can get from Padstow angling centre.

  • " Dont you wish you where here with me catching bass"

Yes i do you ^^^&&**!!!!$**** great video though

  • Should have been called 'Bass To The Future' lol

  • FFFFIIISSSHHHH!!

  • Brilliant :) Where abouts you fishing that too? Goin fishing Sunday, looks like a nice spot!

  • Every book I've read tells you to vary the retrieve and reel slowly for bass. Ed seems to quickly reel in at a constant speed - so can anybody tell me (as a newbie) what's the best method?

  • @spewmanity Some days they want it fast, some days they want it slow, use both methods on the day.

  • quality fishing, quality fisherman,

  • Bloody Git, wish I could do that,,,,

    Fantastic though, thank you,,,,,

  • @modernwarfare2bc he doesnt know !

  • hi were is this?

  • nooooo! you are crazy!! i hate no kill

  • albert einstin!!

  • Ive met him fishing the north coast of cornwall and he is a real gentleman. He normally uses the rapala J 13 jointed plug for his spinning

  • Get a haircut!!

  • @joebayron Great contribution knob

  • a 10llb bass is sixteen years old. Slowest growing fish in teh UK waters, once they get to about 4llb they mate for life ...so ...putting them back is a good idea especially the bigger ones they are the spawning fish.

  • lol..which bait hahaha

  • wich bait?

  • @aggoflex looks like a lure plug

  • was you lur fishing

  • Rapala

  • di di di, di dididi di didi.... just singing while chatching bass....

  • Top Drawer Bassin! The way it should be done.

  • is he fishing high or low tide

  • its a spiner

  • No it wasn't, it is a plug. A spinner is a dexter or a toby style lure, a plug is an immitation fish with treble hooks attached.

  • It's a Rapala J11 or J13 by the look of it.

  • yes it was

  • what bait were you using

  • ive got that lure its the best

  • hes realin it in to fast

  • their only 3lb fish, lol

  • mate bass take extremley long to grow big.. and there very high valued go and catch a 8ilb+bass in one morning..ughh stfu

  • oh for fuck sake, will you read it in the context please. someone said that he was realing in too fast, so i said theyre only small fish. get it? btw iv caught a 7.5lb in the evening. moron.

  • anybody tell me what mark this is?!

im in cornwall and cant picture they bay hes at anywhere... anybody else down here, hellford passage is also good for bass too

  • i love the way he says bass.

    it makes me laugh

  • are floating lures good for this??

  • maybe not off the rocks on a choppy day like this. you could if it were calmer, otherwise you could do it off a dinghy. there are some devon lads on youtube that use surface poppers.

  • billy connolyy :D

  • That guy is shit hot

  • "...and we're going down there."Fuck that mate!YOU'RE going down there!I'll find somewhere less suicidal!

  • that guy is awesome.

  • Hey im off to Majorca in a couple of weeks and wonder if you can give me any tips for spinning over there as im trying to catch bass also and anything else that i can

  • What a cool host!!!

  • haha yeah man, he's awsome :)

  • I do wish i were down there fishing with u and this was a great video

  • He's left handed

  • wtf?

  • ha ha mr. Rock hopper I do wish I was fishing with you right now !!! What a beautifuly awesome video, and an awesome adventurous way to do some great bass fishin !

  • i would rather catch a few smaller fish like these wich are plentiful around our coast than one big one in a session more fun and there is always a good feeling watching them swim off again

  • Whats the point? The water around the british coast is so over fished and polluted that a good day out is catching goldfish like this. What a waste of time.

  • great

  • if your ever in portugal envited to go fishing with me if you want to catch big ones great video

  • is there any good spots around north devon for spinning for bass?

  • a lil to much talking....but brlliant

  • the west country is all about that gab, my son

  • BRILLIANT!

  • nice one ed....

  • the first fish bounced in the water

and he's right it is little and it is probaly a baby!

    lol

  • lol he lobbed it in pretty far didnt he

    that must of hurt

  • It's about time that bloke shaved off his beard, lost the Glasgow accent and stopped swearing. I might watch him now.

  • he never swears and he aint from glasgow

  • My mistake, I thought he was Billy Connolly.

  • lol, fair does

  • what a spaz

  • would any one like to know how much mr Schliffke charges for a little trip 'bassin'maybe 'wrassin'.....................£220 FOR ONE DAY! id rather throw my money in the sea!

  • Go on Ed!

  • why are they so small

  • Because our waters are over fished! especially for this type of fish! They do get alot bigger than this! i think around 27lbs is the british record!

  • There not small because britains over fished, its because the big ones cant be arsed chasing a lure around, theyd rather take a big bait on the sea floor.

  • haha what a great fishing video ur quite a character

  • this man is the legend. brilliant catch mate.

  • what a great guy, nice bass mate.

  • what an absoloute nutter!!!

  • Good to see you're still rock hoppin' mad!

    Cheers Ed

    Jib

  • not true mate, say if you catch a fish and it has a small hole from a hook in its mouth, that wont stop it from eating mate
