@M4R14NO94 Wasn't much of enhancement. I'd kill or seriously injure in order to get the Wolfteam Road Avenger, just with LD quality video (or better) and CD quality sound.
I was ready to hate this, but this isn't too badly done and isn't actually "games that were really popular but I'm too young to remember" like most of these types of videos seem to be, the only gripe I have is you guys really need to practice being less stiff with your delivery, and if you are going to continue doing humorous banter you might want to practice a bit more.
Those misheard lyrics are fantastic, worth the subscription alone! I played through Road Avenger on my iPhone, and whilst I agree with your thoughts on it, it was still very enjoyable (if you play it on tilt controls, you need a lot of room either sound of you!)
Personal choice for a game that deserves more attention is Skyblazer on SNES. Great game.
I totally agree that these games should have been more popular. Pikmin and Road Avenger are among my favorites on their respective systems.
My picks, if I was limited to two like you guys were, would probably be Kolibri for the 32X and Secret of Evermore on SNES. The latter takes a lot of flak for basically being the game we got instead of Seiken Densetsu 3 in the US, but having played both, I much prefer Evermore.
Just as great as ever, guys. Man, I really wish I could get a hold of a Mega-CD II. Those things are soooo expensive on eBay, and the shipping all the way to New Zealand is the real killer of all. Still.... one day.
Actually, I tried to play Pikmin on the Wii. It's fun, but I had a lot of trouble. I guess I kind of suck at strategy games though. That time limit is horrible. I hear the second one doesn't have it, but I can't allow myself to play the sequel without finishing the original...
@Digitalpalette We do! We haven't personally played it yet, though, but we hear it is pretty much exactly like the arcade (except in name) and that means it probably has the crosshair and the original audio. I'd kill for a LaserDisc version with the Sega CD Road Avenger GUI and sound mix!!
that was friggin awesome, I love how you cover many platforms briefly to complement, you guys rock

The Saturn and PS1 Road Avenger/Road Blaster ports, they have enhanced overlays and sound effects, not just the arcade originals.

I think pikmin is over rated... as for the other 2 (not counting the sega cd one because I don't own a sega cd) I'll have to check them out.

It can do good voice samples, if you have enough ROM to store them.

I guess the singer was taking too many roids on his cock when he made up that song.

Good job! BUT I have to say Joe should have showed Dave his video of great voice samples on the Genesis.

@CondorK92 Neither of those are underrated, and both were actually fairly popular at release.

Absolutely fantastic episode; It's in my favourites now.
I've been a huge fan of Road Avenger from when I was first living out of home.
I was poor, had tons of time, and an old SEGACD + only RA and a few other crappier games, so it got a lot of play.
Thanks for championing it to the masses, it deserves to be played.
Road Avenger may take a bit of patience at the beginning but once you 'get' it, expect to be losing a few hours to it.
