  • Hey Kim, I couldn't find your leave in conditioner receipe on your channel. On your last video you said the video was taken down and the receipe was there on your channel but I didn't see it.

  • @TiffyBear 2 tablespoons of Aloe Vera Juice, 2 tablespoons of Knot Today Leave-In conditioner ( I also use mixed chicks, but you can use a different leave - in), 2 teaspoons of castor oil, 2 teaspoons of jojoba oil. Enjoy your healthy hair

  • @everythingist007 Wow thank you! It's good to know I've been using some of those items.lol I need to try this mixture out. Have you tried it?

  • @TiffyBear yes I had already been using the aloe plant, and those oils, but after I found this mess free way I've been using it, and loooooooooove it

  • Kim, what leave-in conditioner do you use?

  • I look at these videos a lot for inspiration :)

  • My hair looks exactly like hers. As such, I think that I will be more willing to use the same products as she does since they seem to work well for her.

  • Do you balance your other products? I was looking for a way to email or comment on the channel, but I can't find anything. I know you have a lot of videos... this is the first time I've really taken time to look at the vids and I LOVE it because it's my journey. I've been natural for 4 years and I've struggled and cut it. But yes... do you balance your other products or just the leave-in?

  • @justal88 My mom was suffering hair loss die to age and medications. She has been using this product since 3months and we could see a difference. It has all the natural ingredients and therefore harmless.. Her hair was long now and soft too. Anyway, here is the site..

    HairLoss101. net (w/o space)

  • I have worn locs now for about seven years; I'm debating if I should cut them and just go with natural hair that is MORE versatile. Would you suggest I cut it or try taking it down and then just cutting the damaged?

  • So many vids.....they are great but....can you tell me where I can find the video where you give instructions on the Kimmay Method Live In Conditioner? Thanks so much.

  • Now July 2011 My hair has reached to armpit length and is heading towards brastrap length and beyond Thanks to God and Lovely Youtube ladies like you kimmaytube who have taught me that it's about patience and proper care when it comes to hair growth. Many Blessings to you and all of your goals in hair care and in life. A Million thanks P.S. your leave in recipe is one of my staple products I use in my hair. I just love the simplicity about it and the fact that it is PH balanced

  • @rachelpierre1 What are some of the things you do to keep ur hair undamaged & assist it in growing? Please I need some suggestions/advice thanx :) ps wher can I find the leave in recipe??

  • @justal88 Well with my hair I have very delicate strands so I mostly finger detangle on damp hair. Sometimes when I am in the shower I finger detangle my hair. This technique has worked for me. Protective styles is another major technique I have used where my ends are tucked in like 100% of the time. You dont have to do protective styling that often but I have put my self on a strict hair journey that has been working for me and I have seen results. I am almost brastrap length in a short time.

  • @justal88 As for kimmaytube leave in recipe all you need is to take 2 tablespoons of Aloe Vera Juice ( you can find at a health food store) 2 tablespoons of your favorite LEAVE IN CONDITIONER (please do not use conditioner that you have to rinse out) 2 teaspoons of jojoba oil and 2 teaspoons of castor oil (if your hair doesnt agree with these oils you can pick 2 oils of your choice). After you have put all the ingredients together in a container mix it up and voila! I hope this helped

  • @rachelpierre1 thank you sooo much for that. question. do you put the leave in recipe in everyday, and how often are you suppose to wash your hair.

  • Hey Kimmay I just wanted to say thanks for all the hard work that you put into your videos and showing women all over the world about how to take care of their own natural hair and the science behind it.I was looking at the date that you have for this video posted and that date actually marks the first day of my own healthy natural hair journey after actually being natural for about four years. In Oct 3 2010 I decided to start taking serious care of my hair. I cut 3 inches off at the time

  • Hello

Kim i m enjoy watching your video.I have a question for u my natural hair keep breaking out what do u thing i can use to stop it. Can some one please tell me where can i buy those ingredient plese specially aloe vera

  • I love your videos kimmay. I wish I had paid attention to your videos sooner! Question what are your thoughts about argan oil? It says it protects split ends and contains vitamin e. I was thinking of making a deep conditioner with it?

  • So I heard that shampoo with sulfate in it should not be used is this true, does it mess with the pH of hair?

  • True LaylaTV1. She does speak as a matter of factly and very nurturing. She'll make a great mom! :)

  • i love your voice! it sounds soo soothing yet upbeat lol

  • The first thing i thought when i saw your hair length and how it works with water is that yo are prob one of few black women that aren't mortal enemies with water on hair! lol

  • Is there a reason you don't like taking the biotin and muti-vitamins at the same time?

  • Hey Kim, I absolutely love your hair care routine. I am about a year into transitioning from a relaxer and I am experiencing a lot less breakage using the leave in and detangling routine. Thank you ! Finally its almost time to get rid of the relaxed ends. I just have one question, really hoping you could answer. What did you replace the Giovanni Conditioner with since you no longer use it? And will you add a new wash and detangle routine with you new products? Thanks alot. Love your channel :0)

  • have YOU EVER TRIED USING HENNA???

  • hey kim, i loooooooooove the song in the background.... i bet you created it.... your earthy spirit reminds me so much of me. lol. im just a 'relaxed' head. lol

    stay humble. your awesome

  • Kim, I know you wash then put your leave-in conditioner (which I use & love, BTW) weekly. But what do you do to moisturize during the week when your hair is dry (not wet). I recall you mentioned water but what exactly do you do. I use shea butter w/some olive oil (& a few other oils) mixed in. Do you just mist your hair w/water. I know we should moisturize differently in the winter vs summer. What are your suggestions. Maybe you can do a video on just that, if you haven't already.

  • Hi Kim, after watching all 4 of these videos plus a few other I've decided to go natural... Imy main concern since I work in a corporate environment is styling my hair. but I see you have a lot of great styling videos.. my goal right now is to watch all of your video and creat a place to store them so i can return to the styling I'm currently relaxed APL(thin end) 3 months post. Please share any tips and advice.. I would greatly appreciate. I havent used any heat...

  • I love your videos. I'm about to do the big chop! I have a question: If I keep my TWA moisturized do I need to do protective styling on the twa? It will be too short, so it seems my only option would be weaves/wigs/extensions and I don't want to do that.

Hope my question made sense! Thanks :-)

  • Thank you for so much information. Knowledge is power. Can't wait for the dvd it's almost Feb. yayyy =]

  • how are you so organized and disciplined with your hair? do you make list? do you make list of list? lol do you write things down in an e-planner/blackberry or organizer?

    inspiring

  • hi kim! i hope that u are doing well! im soooo anxious to see the december growth update! happy holidays

  • nice biceps, beautiful smile, gorgeous curls, great insight and work! Oh and I love your shower tiles.

  • Has anyone heard from Kimmay? I hope she's okay. I'm pretty sure she's really tied up with things. We miss you Kimmay.:) Hope to see you soon. Happy Holidays to you and your family. Hope all is well.

  • i want long hair like Kim

  • have u ever tried to put miconazole nitrate in your hair? i know that u dont now but have u ever given it a try? and if u have did u see a rapid hair growth?

  • Hi Kimmay! How often do you shampoo? Thanx

  • omgoodness, you guys have a million and one questions! lol

  • Hey Kimmay. What do you with hair at night to go to bed?

  • How often do you trim your hair??

  • HEY KIM I AM GONIN TO CUT MY HAIR IN JAN OF 2011 ...HOW CAN I STYLE MY TWA TO RETAIN LENGTH OR DO PROTECTIVE STYLES IF ITS SO SHORT?

  • Hey Kim, i think you're great! I love your videos, rite now im transitioning to natural but my younger sister is natural and im trying to get hold of her hair and get it healthier! ! I have a few questions, how often you moisturize and seal, what do you use to do that, and what purposes do you use your leave in (which i love) for than as a leave in after washing. And how do you stretch when you use the leave in, do you put it in and then add the shea butter! Thanks in advance for your response!

  • Quick question do you wash the acv out of your hair or can you leave it in?

  • @latrice1123: They're all the same quality as far as brands are concerned; vitamin E is vitamin E.

  • What kind of multivitamin do you take?

  • kim i absolutely love your weekend vids...i hope you can send number 6 soon :)

  • Thanks for providing the HIGHEST quality hair education on youtube!!! Can't wait to see what you do next !!! <3 another Kim from Chicago.

    !Nu.

  • OMG! kimmy! Did u say u were straightening ur hair in Jan? Omg, I can't wait til your January video!! I would love to see your hair straighten :-)

  • Thanks, Kimmay! You have such beautiful hair. Thank you for being such a beutiful force and influence in the natural hair community.

  • So wait, are you really going to flat iron ur hair? If so, pleeeeeaase post a video!!! That would be awsome to see!!!

  • You have such beautiful hair. I'd just like to clarify something you said in your video with regards to Rogaine growing hair. Primarily because I don't want folks running out to buy this product to grow hair. I used to be a product trainer for this stuff and it's only intended to treat (not cure) male and female pattern baldness which is a hereditary condition. Since it's not a CURE, people who use this and see results have to keep using it because if they don't their hair will fall out again.

  • Hey Kimmay, I am amazed every time I watch another one of your videos! Great job and keep it up...you're gonna make it to the top!!! Quick question: I know that you have 2 videos about your wash day routine but do you think it's possible for you to make another wash day video at your current length? I think many viewers would LOVE to see you manage all that hair with the same simple routine. Just a thought! Peace and God Bless! : )

  • Hi kimmay, I just subscribed! just wondering what would you use to twist you hair if you didn't have ms. jessies or some other "expensive brand?"

  • Hey Kim!!

I really love your hairjourney, because i totally relate to it.. I have had a lot of breakage. Like you, it looked like my hair didn't grow at all! It has been the same length forever! And its not that i want long hair, but i want to have a styling choice..

I want to chose if i want it long or short.. Seeying ur videos ( and a few others on YT) i learned how to take care of it.. Just did a big chop so its not so long yet But i dont find any broken ends on my pillow anymore :D

  • Correction "their" and hypocrites"

  • I love watching ur vids because ur proof is in the results. I believe that ppl on a whole always try to find the negative things to say about someone who does there thing. Some are criticizing u but they are watching ur videos when no one is looking and are following ur methods lol, such hpocrites, Girl keep doing u and dont let the trolls stop u. Luv ya.

  • Congrats on your progress........Keep Growing!

  • love ;o)

  • I have a question can you PLEASE do a review on mane-n-tail horse shampoo and conditioner and tell me if that's really safe to use on humans people say its safe but what do you think

  • @OFFICIALLYSHARRIE Kimmay is not doing any reviews on other products, she mentions that on her channel page.

  • I want healthy hair too! thank you for the vids.:)

  • Watching your vlogs have made me fall back in love with my hair! I've been chem-free for years but l do press n flat iron frequently. I have the tools, even the know how but the energy wasn't there. Thanks for the healthy swift kick. Out of the three P's the most important one is patience. Oh and thanks for the leave in conditioner - l'm trying it this weekend! Much love & success!

  • OMIGOSH! You're So Awesome. You've Helped Me See My Hair In A New Light. I've Never Relaxed My Hair Before But I've Also Never Properly Cared For It. Your Advice Is Irreplaceable & I Thank You! I'm Cheering For You As Your Hair Grows Longer Because I Want You To Catch Up. Lol. I Have Had Hair Down To My Tail Bone All My Life & It's A Little Difficult To Copy Your Protective Styles. I'm SO Excited To See What Different Styles You'll Think Up When Your Hair Gets Uber Long. Lol. Thanks Again. <3!

  • I was wondering ..will you do your hair with the KCCC and wear it "out" now that its alot longer and has more "hang"? Just wondering how It'd look...

  • is it me...or am I going through the "kimmay" withdrawal-syndrome!!! loll I think I'm up to checking like 5 times a day!!!! I need my fix kimmay!!!! loll (although i should be studying!!!) loll

  • So glad to see that others are checking Kim's youtube page as much as I am. I suspect that the last 1000 or so, were like me--checking for Episode #6! LOL! Looking forward to more of the videos. Come back soon!!!

  • Hey Kim...No weekend show..... sad face!!!!

  • I have the kimmey shakes too.........but enjoy your time, see you when you get back;)))

  • I never knew my hair type could grow an look

pretty I might go natural soon thanks to ur videos

  • Hello Kimmay ;-) I love your videos they have helped me and my other natural friends tremendously in our hair care techniques, but I do have a question...When you started to see results in your regimen and started to retain length at were you tempted to get a relaxer and just apply the same techniques to relaxed hair?

  • @kimmaytube ok thanxxxx!!!!

  • @kimmaytube ...Greetings, my hair journey has been one of a myriad of ups and downs for the last 10 years...however, I praise God that I believe Im finally getting the hang of it. I am approaching my 1 year of healthy hair care and my hair is lovely... I especially would like to thank you for the ph balance video, for it has extremely helped me. You should be very proud of yourself...your progress is very impressive. God bless!

  • @kimmaytube please don't over flat iron your hair. You will have to cut it off...it happened to me:-(

  • @gcsugirl thats dramatic. if you know how to properly protect your hair, you can flat iron it every so often. and if theres one thing we know about kimmay is she knows how to protect her hair!

  • @BreukelensFinest I was responding to Kimmaytube when she said that she would rather over flat iron than relax. I disagree since I had nice healthy natural hair and decided to flat iron week after week. It ruined my hair and I had to chop alot of it off.

  • @gcsugirl i think that means that you did something wrong. you may need to look at how you protect your hair. i flat iron my hair about once a month and my hair bounces back every time. i use the same method that kim uses and my hair is about mid back

  • @kimmaytube Is it true that relaxers can cause an auto-immune disorder??

  • Comment removed

  • @BeautynSimplicity lol i reall be checking every hour on the hou for that weekend show... i think i;m addicted.

  • i need my kimmay crack fix NOW

  • MISS YOU KIMMAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

  • Hellow Kim and fellow youtubers. I think I recall you saying you had to pull some videos for various reasons. I apologize upfront if this has been answered, but do you plan on reposting any of them? In particular, one of the very fist ones with the Banana Clip hairstyles. Hopefully someone knows this answer.

  • @CurlyCaprice omg, i love that banana clip vid, i really hope she reloads that one

  • When I didn't see any new videos, I was actually hoping that you were getting some down time just for yourself. We miss you, but everyone needs some time away from the office, even if it is with in-laws. LOL! All jokes aside, I hope you're getting some R&R because you do a lot. My husband sees me looking at all of your videos and then he hears me ask the same question each week: "Does she ever get a break?" So I'll be glad to see you back, but I hope you're enjoying your time away. :)

  • Hi Kim what are your thoughts on long-term protective style by getting your hair braided or even a weave?

  • I am glad that all is well with, but i have been going through Kimmay withdrawal. I have been on Youtube looking for you everyday 3-4 times a day. I love your weekend shows and the wonderful information that you give us. My Husband thinks that I am addicted, lol; but not the case, just like good information and watching your videos inspire me to do better with my hair. Family come first, so enjoy, but please hurry back. lol

  • @naturallybless1

My family thinks I'm addicted too and I'm on here about 3-4 times a day looking as well!

  • @pookie25542 me too!

  • Your hair is gorgeous, thats amazing growth. I hope I can share the same success in my hair journey. Continue given us great advice, I've learned so much from you and others sharing their journey. Thank you and may God continue blessing you.

  • hola chica; hope all is with you. I miss your weekend show, lol!

  • You know, I am happy with myself..... I have been much less concerned with growth and more concerned with protection of hair. I wear two strand twists soooo much that when I finally wore my afro out it was HUGE! :) I was actually a little surprised...in a good way.

  • Kim

Thanks for all your research and encouragement to others who are embarking on this natural hair journey. I started my transition from relaxed hair in March of this year. I've decided to wear human hair individuals for a few months to give myself a break. Some recommend blowing drying hair for a seamless result before braiding. Won't that be pointless? My goal is to be able to wash my braids weekly, get out of the ackward length stage, minimize dryness, and shake up my style. HELP

  • wow really going through kimmay withdrawal now! Girl the power you have over your audience is somethin, been checkin back bout every 3-4 hours... I know your busy with the real world take your time!

  • @aubainmc lol! i thought i was the only one with the "kimmay shakes" over here! kim is wonderful and since i have been following her suggestions i have seen MARVELOUS results in my hair in the 3short weeks that i have been watching her - i cant get enough of all she has to say regarding our hair..but you know when she gets back to us it will be worth the wait! love you kim!

  • oh dear Kim, where are you?

  • @jadajadee

Spending time with my in-laws, hosting them in my home.

I will return to Youtube when my schedule frees up.

  • Your hair looks great! I use your moisturizing recipe but I was wondering if during the winter months do you use a thicker or heavier moisturizer for your hair? I live in the south and winters are not too bad, but for Thanksgiving I'm going to CT and it will be freezing cold and sooo dry there. Any suggestions?

  • Kim, it is so awesome to see the progress of your hair growth!~ I have been natural for nearly 14 years and although I have exercised patience and protective styling, I haven't always given my hair the proper care it needs to grow healthy and strong. Also, thank you for the fashion tips! I am in your age group, but I have always struggled with finding styles that help me look my age. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!~ Take it easy and continue to have a blessed and prosperous 2010!~

  • I'm currently transitioning to natural for the 3rd time in 9 years. This time I am hoping its for keeps. I wanted to know how come you don't have any shrinkage. My hair used to shrink up as soon as the water 'hit' it. Not sure if it was because I was using sulfates or just that that's how my hair is natural. I am caring more for my hair now. I haven't BC'd but may do in about 6 more months. Your hair looks great btw, too.

  • Gorgeous!

  • Hi Kim! I love your videos. I am going to start following your regimen closely. I could of sworn you said you don't trim your hair but I could be making that up. I trim every 4 months now but I don't color or use heat on my hair so thinking maybe the no trim or minimal trims will work for me.

I can't find the video where you said you don't trim (if in fact you said it). Can you help me out?

    Thank you!

  • @alsaxon I *think* I recall her saying in one of her previous videos that she uses shears only to snip knots that she can't untangle with the slip of olive oil and/or conditioner. Otherwise, her ends are well preserved. That's part of the success of growing longer hair.

  • @HaleysComet33

    Thank you!

  • @alsaxon

You can find the statements she made about how she cares for her hair when it comes to trimming in Weekend Show # 4; it's at the beginning of the show.

    I hope this helps (^_^)!

  • @naturalcontentment19

It does help! I also found it in the video labeled "Hardheaded people"

  • @alsaxon I believe she said she does not trim her hair because 1) she is gentle with it and 2) because she does care about the "appearance" of even length right now. She covered this topic in her last weekend show, #4 i believe.

  • Thanks for the continued inspiration! I am 8 months along after a forced big chop...I mean I had breakage where you could read my thoughts!! LOL Anyway...I am well on my way to 6inches or more for my 1yr natural anniversary. You and my other youtube natural "friends in my head" have helped me tremendously to care for me and my two daughters hair. Your work is not in vain!!! Thanks

  • Kimmay, thanks for sharing your journey. Like everyone else, I'm happy you're experiencing such a success with figuring out a routine that is resulting in long, healthy hair. About a month ago I stumbled on your videos and after listening to what you had to say, realize that the '3P' concept made perfect sense. I began to apply your technique to my own hair. In just a month's time, I can see longer, healthier hair being revealed. I'm thinking ... finally, something that can work for me too!

  • I have followed and subscribed to your channel for over a year now (I'm also a Luvnaturals customer) and I am very happy about the evolution of your videos from how to styling to hair growth and more. You are very open and that is much appreciated. I was wondering if you ever use the "baggy method". It would be a great topic for your "hair tip of the week" segment of your show. I "heart" Kim Love"! Keep it up!

  • wow how inspiring! the length and health of your hair is beautiful!

  • thank you soooo much kimmay for ur knowledge and wisdom and helping me and the rest of the world on this natural journey.

    smiles:shontaeale

  • its funny your hair has never been touched by heat but it looks similar to my heat trained hair. Wow textures sure do vary.

  • Kimmay hope you are alright we all eagerly await your weekend show.

  • I am finally able to get the Corine look! Yay!!!! OMG! I just checked out HATERAZZI also and he is too funny! Especially his Beyonce and Rihanna skit! Keep doing you Kimmay!!!!

  • Girl, I have been telling a lot of people about you. I usually meet women in stores who, like myself , are looking for hair-care products. You know, we 'naturals tend to gravitate to one another. LOL

I'll get questions like, "What do you put on your hair?", or "What would you recommend?". I let them know what has been working for me, but then I tell them about you. They HAVE to check out kimmaytube's channel. I asure them that they won't be sorry.

  • WOOOOOOOW mrs. Kimmay! I am soooo inspired by you! I hope my hair grows that long!

  • Hey Kim!! Beautiful. My hair-spiration! I just had a question-I know in your video that you say that your routine is the same but I was wondering if you are going to do an updated washing and detangling video now that your hair is even longer? I know that you have two already but I was just wondering. Take care girl!!

  • One more question-I know that every 2-3 days, you re-wet your twists and then apply your leave-in conditioner but I was wondering, say if you did your hair on Saturday, come no later than Tuesday you re-wet your hair and apply your leave-in recipe. So for the rest of the week do you follow that same pattern (every 2-3 days wet your hair and apply the leave-in) or after the first time you re-wet your hair and apply the leave-in, from then on, every 2-3 days you just spritz your hair with water?

  • IT'S PROVEN! BLACK WOMEN CAN HAVE LONG, THICK BEAUTIFUL HAIR!!

  • Kim, Hey girl! I've been following and rating your videos for some time now. I'm totally inspired by you to continue to stay natural. It does take diligence though. I come back to your videos every time I get weak. However, I noticed that you said that you will be flatironing your hair in Jan. WHY? To see your length?

I know that you didnt ask but, in my opinion your hair is great natural and you continue to serve your purpose by staying that way. well if do decide or your dont, I am stilla fan

  • @daannnnie

She's not going to permanently straighten her hair, she may only have it done for that one day to see the length and enjoy one well deserved "treat" for all her hard work. Either way she's always going to stay natural, she's made that clear. (^_^)

  • HI, I love ur hair, my coworker is natural and she has convinced me to go natural. I love your hair. My hair is already short, but where to start?. I will be watching your videos to see yur journey. I cant wait.

  • ah! i want that hair! i struggle to find great products here, ironic! (i live somewhere in Africa) thanks for sharing kimmaytube!

  • Hi Kimmay! I have a quick question (I figured I'd write it out here, in case other people have the same question). I was wondering if it is advisable to trim damaged ends. Technically, it's going to break off anyway, so what is the point of trimming it off? It may seem like a stupid question, but I'm really trying to understand my hair better. Thanks!

  • @luwakw01

She makes a point about this in Weekend Show #4 about having see through ends, but if your ends are damaged and you want to retain the most length, then you need to trim them because they will continue to break further down the hair shaft because of normal weathering causing you to lose more length than a bit of trimmed ends.

  • @luwakw01 Cut it fast because you don't want the damage ends to travel the strand of hair..The longer you wait...More you will have to cut. After cutting your damage ends, make sure to protect your them with protective styling that can hide the ends of your hair...It will be a start fresh and you might not need to trim as much later. The more you protect your ends..the less you will have to trim ..She talked about it in one of her videos but can't remember which one. Good luck !!!

  • Wonderful!

  • wow your hair is beautiful!!

  • Kim! You have no idea how much of an inspiration you are! I only just began my natural hair journey about a month ago and came across your channel while looking for advice from other women with natural hair. Everyday since I've been looking at your videos. Not only are you and inspiration, but you are just so well spoken that I can't help but to watch! I really get more from your advice than anyone else. I just want to thank you for the great videos. Keep it up! :-)

  • @UrQween2be kimmay addressed this question on Weekend Show #4-- 9-19-10 --Hair Tips, Fashion, Contests! during that show she also gave a link to another video that talks about knotting in detail. hope you have a chance to check it out.

  • I love the music on this. May I ask which program do you currently use for your audio? Is it the same as the one shown before?

  • Thank you so much foe converting t centimetres. :)

  • As always, very thorough, I always say that it's also about heredity as well, for some, it may take longer even with a regular regimen without alot of products and such, as I've heard it said, 'A watched pot never boils', great vids girl, keep progressing and keep being creative!

  • Wow! You are really doing great with your hair goal. Outstanding! I love your personsality and your creativeness. Thanks so much.

  • wooooow im about to start to take my hair and nail pills...

  • Wow! I just love this video. It is hope for the future. My hair is growing by using the protective styling techniques you have suggested. I'm excited and can't wait to see my hair as long as yours.

  • WOW! I am sooo jealous!! This is soooo motivating...I want my hair to grow this long in 6 months!! I cant wait until you straighten your hair.

  • i love your bathroom (:

    and your very pretty

  • Kimmay beautiful hair and progress!!! Do it Girl!!!!LOL

  • oooh its keeps growing!! btw, i don't think you've ever mentioned why you went natural

  • btw, i am trying to do a "kimmaytube growth challenge" and i've heard you say in previous video that styles like twists are not a protective style unless you tuck in your ends. so do you think that braids with extensions is a good protective style?

  • @adassa I think braids are a protective styling because they do protect the hair from the sun, air etc.

I believe that she previously stated that she had no exprience in the braids department

    -hope that helped

  • @kirachan13 thanks so much for that. i did read her comment on that but i just wanted to double check since your ends are not truly tucked in.

  • i live for these videos; they are so inspirational! For real, i watch them over and over again...wait, that really sounded creepy but i swear it's just because your vids are super inspirational and one of the biggest reasons is because you achieved all of that growth by simply stick to your 3 Ps.

I know Practicing your methods will have what others, even my own hubby, thinks is impossible for a girl like me (hair that is afro textured and quite similar to yours)

  • Amazing growth!!!

  • Your hair looks amazing! Congrats on your 3Ps!

  • Hey Kim!

Great video!! This is such an inspiration for me. I've been natural for just about or about 2 years now and I desire for my hair to be the length of yours. I didn't big chop when I started. I have made progress since starting, but I'm still eager to learn more to get the results that I want. My biggest struggle is creativity with protective styling. I have managed doing the 2 strand twist to my hair at night, but I'm still stuck on wearing my afro puff. Any suggestions?

Maybe you can wear a puff and then a protective style every other day so there is more protection and you can still wear your hair out. That's what I do sometimes. Hope it's helpful!

  • @TheSoulstar36 Hey, you could get alot of ideas from other ladies here on youtube too. You could check glamazini, prettydimples01, (my channel may help a bit too but I am fairly new at the whole youtube thing)

  • I am SO inspired. Hair is an avenue of self care, self love, and self expression. You have really helped to amplify my game in each of these areas! For that, I am truly grateful!

  • Thanks Kim. I luv your vidz. Also you inspire me to take better care of my hair.

  • Looks great you are an excellent inspiration to black women

  • Three P's I like that. I'm going to adopt that. Hope you don't mind :-)

  • WOW...great amount of growth...trying the have patience with mine. Only hope one day to be near as long.

  • You proved the myth "black hair cannot grow pass shoulder length" I've always hated that saying...I am a transitioner trying to change it myself, but my family/friends are not any help...but i was just wondering how you could create good hair growth with cheaper products i.e. for college curlies and those who can't afford to buy shampoo for 20 bucks I mean I guess its worth it (natural cheap products??)

Congratulations on ur sucess and I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

  • i hope you had a good time at the concert and as far as iam concerned you are worth the wait .....
