  • It's important to stretch the achilles tendon, the hamstrings, etc., every day, esp. if you are a runner. And I believe that it's no longer called achilles tendonitis, it's called achilles tendonopathy. Doctors still aren't sure why we get it, but, of course, it's stress, overuse, etc. Check out the YouTube vid clips on surgery to reconnect a torn achilles tendon. It's a humbling experience.
