  • First of all, you are amazing! Second of all, ...I'm speechless. Total awe!

  • Fairly clean, and I like that you didn't lip sync the words. I hate when people lip sync their words as they sign.

It was a little too fast for the calm demeanor of the song. You could've smoothed and slowed out your signs.

  • Wow! Thanks so much! I have to perform it in sign language, and u helped me alot! Thx!

  • HouseOf1000Laurens: I forgot to mention the sign for Possessions is also signed "things" if your are being metaphoric. Again the most proper way is the aforementioned "Have" sign two or more times. Have fun with it and you will be as natural as most. Keep up the good work! Peace.

  • HouseOf1000Laurens: Good job on teaching yourself ASL. I am sure you know by this comment the correct sign for "Possessions" is to sign "Have" two or more times. Another way is to sign in the chest area a "twisting letter 'S' shape hand" - kind of like you are tearing off a piece of beef jerky from your mouth but at the chest area. However, this is more often used in PSE than ASL. I hope this helps. Peace - and keep up the good work!

  • doing this with my class hopping to make the parents cry!!!

  • Wow, there is no words that could describe how amazing this is.i watched it full the first time and by the second time i tried signing. Thank you, bcuz i have trouble speaking and im trying to use sign language to communicate

  • Love it we are do this for rememberance day concert

  • @esenozbay I do that ALL THE TIME for ASL videos lol

  • watching it for the 4th time :)

  • THanks so much for doing this. Im trying to teach the deaf kids in my co-op placement to do this, and this really helped :)

  • You're FANTASTIC ! Thanks.

  • @pbjanelley That's two s hands for the sign can/able to.

  • @pbjanelley I'm not deaf, I'm just teaching myself some ASL. I don't have a strong enough grasp on the semantics to post tutorials and teach others. Remember, not every word is translated from spoken English. Ex: "imagine there's no heaven. It's easy if you try" = "Imagine, nothing, heaven. Easy, you, try."

  • @HouseOf1000Laurens oh well your really good lol thank you so much for posting this video just one question at 2:04 are you making the S symbol and bringing it down?

  • Do you have any tutorials for this song in particular .? I want to do this song for my project in ASL , and are you deaf.?

  • this is my mom's favorite song i was so happy to learn it in ASL to show her thank you, great job.

  • Stupid iPod! *Times

  • I love this sooo much! I just watched it two towns and I've already learned so much!

  • I just tought myself that song in ASL using only your video it wus clear and precise thanks

  • thanks for the closed captions! makes it soooo much easier to learn:)

  • beautifully done! <3

  • Time to press the subscribe button... ;)

  • ugh this is wonderful, you sign so clearly and cleanly, unlike others. thank heaps hey!

  • I did it! !! Ever since I saw that GLEE episode, I've always wanted to learn how to sign Imagine!@ And I found this video today... and Learned it! (Now I have to do by homework! BYE!! THANKSSSS!!!!!)

  • I love this. It's not only a beatiful language but an art. There's good singers and bad. Well, you are at the top of good. Thankyou for sharing with us.

  • I needed a song for my ASL 1 final, love this song! Thank you for your help... YOU ROCK!

  • Comment removed

  • this is really great, in our finale for our dance school we do some sign language, and i love the Beatles and my favorite John Lennon song is Imagine (also its a very inspirational song) so i really wanted to learn it in sign language. there was a lot of other videos that didnt use correct sign language so im glad i found this one :) thanks so much!

  • I'm not trying to be a hater, but could you please relabel this "signed english" or "signed language"? This is not ASL. At all. Signed language and American Sign Language are two different things, and labeling something like this "ASL" when its not, only further works to misrepresent ASL to the masses and dilute the language itself. Which I'm pretty sure goes against your reasons for doing this in the first place. Not hatin' - just sayin'.

  • @undeadda um...that was kinda harsh? yeah its not ASL but most people don't know the difference anyway--its a common mistake so chill

  • @moviemakerpeoples025 Exactly. People DONT know the difference. Youtube has been a great way for the Deaf to connect in a way that wasn't possible before, but now its being flooded with hearing people who don't really know the language, posting videos labeled "ASL" so then other hearing people who don't know the language watch them and the misconceptions about ASL as a language are strengthened and spread. Care needs to be taken when using the label "ASL" for the language to survive.

  • asl project due tomorrow.. you just saved my ass

  • @WhiteBoyzVideo Glad I could help an ass out!

  • @nut12meg Make sure you do the correct sign for hungry!

It's only one motion down your chest, not like the double motion I did which means something completely different.

  • @HouseOf1000Laurens What state are you signing from?

  • @HouseOf1000Laurens it means horny XD

  • Our Choir concert is Glee themed, and my friend and I are taking an ASL class. So at the concert, we'll be signing this song as the Choir sings behind us, and we're using this video to learn the signs we don't know. :) <3

  • @jan4mom @bunniechan Bahahaha! I know! I learned the sign for horny a couple weeks ago and I thought, "Uh oh...". Maybe I'll redo this one someday but "imagine there's no horny" is too funny to replace.

  • Very nice!!!! Great emotion and facial expressions! But I agree with bunniechan7, hunger sign done twice is horny! Watch it!! :D

  • okay you did a good job, but for hunger it is done once...twice is horney...

  • i really love this version you did, i actually used you to practice for my asl project :)

  • not too shabby

  • Is this exactly like glee's interpretative? just curious.

  • This is perfect. It is a high quality, well lit, and with the gloss, to learn this. Thank you so much. You have helped an ASL student.

  • @jackcanthink Well thanks. I was inspired by the deaf episode of Glee.

  • @HouseOf1000Laurens as was I =] thanks for the help!

  • Amazing on of my favorite songs but i would love it if there was subtitles. Great job anyways.
