The pattern of the sequence depends on the notes involved. For example, it could be two notes up and one down, repeat as needed. Or two notes down, one up, repeat as needed. Those are both frequently used sequences recommended by Darol Anger.
Thank you mate! Your'e a very good teacher, i enjoyed watching your video, I think scales are very important when learning any instrument. would be good if we had a close up view of your fret board as you play, just so we could see the placement of your fingers on the strings.i can see how much you really enjoy playing, makes all the difference. and thats what playing music is all about, it makes you happy and feel good, two thumbs up, ! think i might pick up my violin and play some fiddlle.
I just use YouTube. I don't know what an unsupported video format is. Sorry I can't help you there.

you are the best teacher i have found...no nonsense approach to the things i want to know...most teachers dont do this stuff...
p.s. do you use your own hair for your bow hair?
martinluthierking 1 year ago
@martinluthierking If you've seen The Red Violin, you know that only the hair from a beautiful woman is any good on the violin.

The question of getting the left had and right hand both in the video is tricky. Some fiddlers opt for just the left hand. I may try that also.

You are very good at explaining things - something a lot of teachers are not good at. They explain which notes to play but not why. thnx
