@hg5bsd very interesting project, i want to start with building up a similar maschine like yours, but software issues are difficult to me, my question: could you send me the kinematic file and an instruction how to implement it in emc2
I like the drive mechanism that you're using. It seems like it would be immune to backlash issues as long as the vertical sliders (I don't know what else to call them) are heavy enough.
Fantastic Work. Can you make an exchangeable Head interface with a pass through tool control. Can you design a framework for 2+ deltas to co-ordinate a task?
I used a version of your test pattern in my latest robot. Thank you for being such an awesome inspiration!

mi potresti mandare anche lo schema di collegamento per favore?

Not a good idea to apply stepper motors when payloads can change unless you have sensors on each axis.

The sliders are minimal backlash. However, the threaded nut and screw threads between backlash. This eliminates most of the weight of the structure.
Could do with teflon threaded nut.

Was backlash a problem?

Thank you for your interest. This project is now
suspended. If you have a question I will try to answer.
I will soon upload the kinematic file. Greeting

Nice job! Do you have a blog that details the build process? Do you have a BOM available so we can see what kinds of parts you used?
