cheers lads (latana - how you getting on with your biking buddy? been a while!)
managed to fix the fecking thing - whipped the wheel off, took the indicator stalk out, found a shed load of Muck and crap which was causing the issue. Cleaned up with cotton buds, blasted with WD40 and then re-fitted = problem solved.
I can see me dismantling again and applying some vaseline or contact grease to help prevent it happening again. Thanks though!
@paulthe6th Just seen the reply, you never replied to me so it didnt notify me!
I havnt got round to doing my test unfortunatly, i keep thinking should i get a bike... yes one minute, next minute i think i will stick to my car! but i will have to do my test this year as i have my CBT+ Theory so it would be silly not to.
funny thing is, just 2 weeks ago on my Starlet, my headlights went out at night, and didnt come back on, whipped off the steering collumn...
@paulthe6th off the steering collumn and had a fiddle and they came back on again, abit worried cause i have a 2 hr drive in a few weeks at midnight on some twisty roads with no street lighting
Just get a new stalk/switch mate not much much else you can do. It's probably contacts so if you have some spray contact cleaner then yeah throw it in but other than that, not really worth the time when you consider the cost of salvage parts. cheers
