  • Oh! It's Lee Seung Hoon! (see 8:00) he's a long track skater now, and he's awesome! I didn't know he did short track. he just won the long track mass start event at the winter asian games, it was incredible O.O

  • Unbelievable...simply amazing, Korean #1 !

  • 보살현수 ㅠㅡㅠ

  • 한국이 최고지.

  • what a race!

  • 아.. 현느님ㅠㅠ

  • awesome- i'm so proud of them as a korean. they didn't give up until the last moment. it's real korean personality!

  • Who was Korean that fell down?

  • i think from my opinion its not how fast or if u get the world record its how intense the race is haha

  • Why is yuna's name mentioned here? It's out of the topic here to speak ill of Yuna. This clip shows short track skating!! How wonderful the moment Korean team go up to the top! As it is written, just marvelous :)

  • 888yme... why are you so retarded. lol

Did you ever stop to think that maybe the athletes go by last name, thus Asada Mao. It is is a common misconception since both names sound like a first name. But its just like how they say Kim Yuna. Yuna isn't her last name.

  • The Chinese have korean coaches now so we'll see a lot of improvements in their game... :T

  • Korea rocks!!! the best

  • hahah USA FAIL!

  • i was there!

  • China lost because on the the last lap, the Chinese skate tried to block Ahn from going outside to pass him and Ahn took the inside. Nice sneaky move by China, but not good enough.

  • oh God

  • Very impressive, from front to back, to front again.

  • How many clean medals did ohno won in his entire career??? guess none.

I'm sure he's the luckiest guy in short track history!!

It's a shame when he gets proud when he collects a lucky medal. So funny dork Jappenis!

  • I am korean myself.. There is no doubt that ladies short track contestants are the strongest... but when it comes to mens.. thats a different story.. korea just about dominates any other country when it comes to men's short track

  • @ddcham well korean women are pretty good.

it's just that in this season, 3 of korea's best female skaters were injured and were not able to compete.

jin sun yu and jung eunju from korea are both above wang meng.

  • @ddcham KOREA dominates short track? how many gold medals they won in Olympics Vancouver? particular on women's short track? NONE at all

  • @Barrito are you serious? of course korea does! (not being opinionated lol) korea is a master at ice! and we won more than 5, i reckon. so don't say anything bad, cz we koreans are not saying anything bad about whatever country you're rooting for.

KOREA IS A TALENTED COUNTRY. :)

  • @Barrito actually we won 8 plus we have to most medals in short track both genders XD so u have been proven wrong >:D

  • @Barrito well great point. So Chinese dominate short track now? NOT. I don't think so. Not yet anyways.

  • Ahn Hyun Soo is outstanding and it seems Ho Suk is making the way to win.He is amazing ,too.

  • @kingsangtae83 I think you are chinese.

No man in korea cheer for other countries' player and This goes to same to everyone else in the world. They cheer for their own countires. if you are real korean, prove something like typing korean. can you read this? and type? " 이 짱개가 어디서 뒤질라고 한국사람 행세를 해?" 아뒤는 어디서 퍼왓냐

  • I'm Chinese and I cheer for the Korean men's team. So basically, you're wrong.

  • I'm Korean however US citizen living in Seattle. I wanted JR Celski to win than anyone else. If you are in US. You didn't prove him wrong. I think he is also wrong. There are way too many Mao Asada fans in Korea even Yuna Kim made a comment about that on a interview :)

  • Mao Asada is actually ethnically Chinese. Notice her last name is Mao, like Mao Tse Tung. Her father owns the largest hostess bar in Tokyo.

So the Japanese can't really claim her as their own, considering how badly the Chinese are treated in Japan.

  • Her last name is Chan I believe and Asada is a Japanese last name that were made to appeal to Japanese. Just like many(Oyama had Japanese last name). Mao is her first name. Her father owns the largest hostess bar.. I would categorize that as hate comment since it has nothing to do with figure skating.. we are not talking about Apolo Ohno... Mao Asada is a competitive athlete and a artist of her own. And believe it or not she is a Japanese.

  • @dokkiro

her last name is Mao, that is why the Americans' call her Asada Mao. Look on the ISU website.

  • Ok let's say her last name happen to be same as the chairman Mao. What if my last name happen to be same as great leader Kim?

  • Are you retarded, thats no the point. The point is that she has an ethnic Chinese surname. And if your surname was Kim you would have an ethnic Korean surname.

  • Mao Asada has a sister named Mai Asada. Like I said you are wrong and her family name is Asada. I never denied she is a ethnic Chinese. But if you consider mt. DNA she is still all Japanese.

  • @dokkiro CARNE ASADA!!!!!!

  • @888yme well I think you are wrong. Look here please.Mao Asada has a older sister whose name is Mai Asada.

  • @dokkiro Are completely retarded?? Just because someone mentions a fact that you don't like, it does not qualify as "hate speech".

You are an idiot incapable of holding a debate, obviously bottom 10% of your class.

  • @dokkiro how much you wanna bet there are "way too many Mao Asada fans in Korea"? Sure, the Japanese-Koreans maybe. Who are what, .1% of the population? You probably don't know how Koreans are seeing you live in Seattle. If you just don't care about Korea or don't even know about it, stop making up things. Because in my eyes, you're not Korean no matter how you look or who your parents are. I live in Texas, but I can speak Korean, I eat Korean food, and I cheer for Koreans. That's being Korean.

  • @Dwkim91 ok maybe there are great numbers of Korean fans lost now but I have seen old tv interview of Yuna Kim saying Mao Asada was more popular than herself in SKorea at the time. You are not wrong to point that out but it's my belief that Mao still have big fan base in Korea. Hardly nobody thinks Mao Asada is nearly as good as Yuna Kim now and that's the thing.

  • @Dwkim BTW I don't give a horse shit what you think. To judged to be less than his or her 100% at their best working for someone outside Korea or working for Korean for Korea only is not Korean ideal. Many Koreans and Chinese moved to Japan to pursue their best. And they all became world number1 at what Japanese brags to be their best. Now they can add Yuna Kim on that long list. Cho Chikun. Go Seigen. Oyama. Etc etc.

  • 방심은 금물입니다... 모든 스포츠.... 게임끝나기 전까지는 포기하지맙시다.... 대한민국 화이팅....

  • who was the final skater for korea?

btw don't even bring up Ohno. the guy's a good skater, but he's also a cheat. 2 incidents in 2002, a false start in 2006 to 'earn' gold in 500m.. the list goes on.

  • his name is ahn hyun soo. He won gold in 1000, 1500, and this relay in 2002.

he is hands down one of the best short track skaters i have ever seen. unfortunately, he injured his ankle before this year's olympics and did not participate.

  • Actually, he won those in 2006.

  • oops, brain fart

  • No he won those at the Torino Olympics in 2002 as well, check the ISU website.

  • ahn hyunsoo, world champion, legend but only 25 right now..he was injured so he couldnt participate in 2010 vancouver olympic..korea lost its huge ace...but there is really a long story with his injury...you dont want to know..ahn was sacrificed..

  • *sigh*....i know.....i don't suppose he'll be able to compete in the 2014 olympics?

  • 우리나라팀 김동성 땜에 역전해서 이긴적 많은데 빨리 복귀하시길 바람..ㅜ

  • The judge(australian) was under the probation for two years after DSQ ed Korean on 2002. How could he be a judge again in this olympic. guess lots of help from chinese to toss the gold to chinese. Shame Shame

  • yo, your point? yo chinese destroy the world with the polution. Near by your countries suffer from it. Shame on yo.

  • Wtf are you talking about? I don't agree with the judge's decision either, but this doesn't have anything to do with the Chinese. Why the fuck would you even blame this one on the Chinese? Gtfo if you don't know what you're talking about.

  • @Skeptibots

You're right. I'm Korean and I think Chinese women skaters deserve gold medals even though the judge's decision in 3000m is controversial. Wang and Zhou are the best skaters and I'm a big fan of them.

    Congratulations!

  • kimsangtae, i honestly think that if there had been no mistakes on China's part, they would have fairly won the 3000m, since theres basically no doubting that Wang Meng is the best :P

But China MADE a mistake. It HAPPENS in these types of games, and Korea should not have been disqualified for CHINA's mistakes. Korea's the one who had basically a flawless performance in the 3000m, so yeah, Korea should have gotten gold.

  • corean r not human in this sport they destroy all nations in chort truck ...

  • nice spelling "corean" more like Korean

  • @sonyushinkiluv who cares!!

  • uh korean people like me. why u gotta problem?

  • @sonyushinkiluv i made a nice comment about koreans so ....!!!!!!!!!

  • uh, i do! obvoiusly, korean people

  • one of judges was a chinese. what a pity.

  • did anyone see the women's relay today? i can't they got DSQ ed! The korean skater had like no where to go in that tight turn and the china skater had a lot of room to avoid it. This is just like 2002, the u.s always benefits from these DSQ, I mean the u.s was SO behind n they get bronze, i mean rly. I'm just fustrated that the people who judge the DSQ were mostly American or all white, isn't that biased? It seems like it was made to give the U.S a medal. $ = protection from judges.

  • yup, the same judge who DSQ ed the Korean on 2002. wtf with the judge. it is so obvious. someone got to kill him, so he can't judge on next olympic.

  • @chinhyok530

he didn't judge on today's men's race and ohno got DQ, so u see how much he protected ohno. anyways the nbc even stated that the korean women team shouldn't have been DQ

  • 7:40-7:44

    lol she's like

    "uhh.... wtf just happened."

  • so is it

    58 SONG Kyung Taek

    59 LEE Ho Suk

    60 AHN Hyun Soo

    61 LEE Seung Hoon

I'm guessing this from hearing that Lee Ho Suk fell, Song Kyung Taek made the first pass over the Chinese after the fall, and then Ahn Hyun Soo came in with passing the Chinese again at the end

  • Thank you for giving us a wonderful time & memory.

Let's learn from this invaluable race.

    Fair runners do always win.

  • NEVER GIVE UP! GO KOREA

  • wow fuck speed

  • Haha Chinese is like "Ok guys...what the fuck just happened?"

  • thx for the info and I hope he's alright now!

  • does anyone know why ahn hyun soo is not participating in vancouver?

  • He got injured in 2008 or 2007. not sure exactly when, anyways, because of the injure, he coudn't participant the game to pick the member of national team. He is in recovery time, I read that he is expecting to participant 2014 olympic :D

  • Ahn was seriously injured for years and he was not able to join the Korean national team due to his injury. Now he is completely recovered and participating in the Korean national competitions in this month. I also heard he finally won that competitions. I am just looking forward to seeing him again in next 2014 winter olympics.

  • Plus, I heard that he actually participated the game to pick the member of national team. Since he did that while being injured, it was obvious his records would be not that good. I guess he was just in 7th or 8th place. There was no more game to pick the national member after that, so that's why we cannot see him in Vancouver 2010.

  • @marleix33 i'm sorry to tell you, but Korean skating association was fucked up. they were supposed to have an qualification game in May which was the month that Ahn gets fully recovered from the injury. then the association held the game in April in order to disqualify him(everyone knows). there are a lot of stories behind him. if you want to know exact story, let me konw

  • it's like junior high vs high school ...

Amazing how good is their team work is~

I caught the action @ last 2 lap push..

Korean didn't change and kept running extra lap to take ahead.. Wow it's like they have scenario for every possible situation.. Nice Nice No-wonder they are ranked #1 in the world.

  • Spectacular!!! Awesome! What a comeback.

The thriller of the year! Thanks for posting. Cheers!

  • Koreans are like angels short track.

  • They also cheat and skate as a team when they are not allowed to. And when they wipe themselves out it is the american's fault

  • @rendler09 you cant prove that they skate as a team just cause the other countries suck and the koreans go in front doesnt mean that they cheat it just mean that they're better

  • No.59 Lee Ho Suk. very Suck. 딱 보니까 니가 문제네. 걍 오노랑 같이 꺼져라

  • Ahn Hyun Soo가 짱(Best)~!

  • i respect corea s perseverance they always fight like empires at the end !!! respect!!!!!

  • No one can beat Korea! Fighting!

  • korea is #1 they are amazing

  • i'm kinda glad he wiped out. we were doing so well with the smooth passes and stuff, and then number 59 decides to relax and take it easy for a bit, and BAM. karma strikes and he's on the floor.

great for morale for the team though, knowing they can pull out of the shittiest situations

  • WOW!!!!~~

what a team work and determination!

    Korean team rocks!

  • it's a good speed skating !

    i love (l)

  • this is what we calle sportmanship

  • the power of korea and btw canada isnt that great

  • Unbeatable Korea. The Chinese coach is like: 'Korea, the monsters' LOL Korea is the best in Short-Track.

  • Haha. Li Yan looks pissed (I've seen that look on her before in a women's 500 race).

  • Comment removed

  • yes if, but that didnt happen... how it works is how it works.

  • Amazing~!!! Korea is too strong!

  • Thanks man ! its nice to see that someone understand my point of view lol i didnt say that korea isnt able to beat canada !! i said that if canada were at the chineese place koreans would have finish 2nd :)

  • nice... i skate in BC, Canada..

juv. i've tried relays before.. pretty hard to make a perfect exchange..

  • KOREA OWNS.

    대한민국!!!!!!!!!!

  • OMG

i can't believe even after the korean guy fell they managed to win

seriously only korea could recover from that fall

GO KOREA:) best at short track!

  • unbelievable race

  • korea's gonna dominate in short track speed skating forever!!!!

  • its always been korea and canada canada is really only ever good in the single... :(

  • when the koreans group together, theyre unbeatable. my respect to the other athletes aswell tho.

  • I can see some of people are keep saying canadean team is the best..but well..I hope to see their team at final game so that we can really see competition between korea and canada. cuz what i'm remember is that canada was often back behind.

  • i know that canadian arent able to beat korea anymore but i know that if you change chineese by canadian in that race I really dougt on the korean's victory .. its a good battle when canada and korea skate once against the oter but with a fall korea would be second

  • i'm pretty sure china was in this race. the chinese lost, even with the fall.

  • fucking owned!! omg.. im sorry Korea is just toooooo good! KP BITCHES!!!

  • so proud to be korean.

  • Wow, incredible, they are surely the best team in the world, but one day i'm gonna be like them.

  • what an amazing team, korean!!!u r THE BEST.

  • Why even watch if you already know who will win? It's like F1 during the early 00's with Schumacher...

  • GO KOREA!!!

    대한민국 만세!

  • That was some amazing stuff there!...never give up, never give in!

  • holy crap.. that was amazing.. GO KOREA! KOREAN FOREVA

  • yo.. who fell in the korean team?

  • It's Ho-Suk Lee

  • mmm it happens tho, if you havnt tried speed skating before you cnt appreciate really how hard it is, but like any other sport, there are hard parts.

  • i do short track .. i noe it's like impossible to catch up in a relay even after sum one tags u and they go

  • i think this video shows how good Korea is at Short track

  • What do you mean how "good"? You mean how GREAT they are.

  • i agree, even though one person fell, they covered so much ground to make it back into 2nd position then first~! Go korea! 화이팅~!!!!!!

  • seriously i was all tensed up!! go KOREA foreva!!! we da best at it!

  • ahhhhh my love Korea. Simply put, the best!!

  • what a strange pass at the end...

  • yo i was moving with them on my seat...lol intense

  • that shit got me all tense..haha

  • that shit got me all tense..haha

  • Omg Korea is the best. Did you see when our korean skater slipped, he still managed to carry on, and there was a humungous gap between the chinese and us koreans, yet, we still managed to win. Wow~! we rock! well.. our skaters haha

    Love Korea x

  • Korea... simply the best

  • it would be so funny if someone pushed the wrong guy

  • hahahahaha:)

  • lol ye, but they practise a lot

  • i know so many people on the track.

  • Amazing, simply amazing. I respect Korean speed skaters so much. Korea and Canada are the best Short Trackers in the world, hands down. Amazing...

  • dunno about the Canadians but, the Koreans are the best in short track speed skating, you're right,

  • wonderful race!

  • Look at the Chinese coach's facial expression..lol

  • lol where?

  • wonderful video..this is short track!

  • Great race. I was there and the crowd exploded, including my dad who knows little of shorttrack. He still talks about this race.

  • Wow.. speechless..

and for one whom is saying bad stuff.

Whatever you say it sounds like losers.

canada was disqualified in the semis. (As I know)

I don't think Canada is week country-at short track-. Don't be a loser.

That was MARVELOUS GAME -like it said on title- cuz THEY DID NOT GIVE UP.

and that was great game. and show us better game next time. alright? don't make yourself as loser. be cool.

  • but too bad they're not... tough break eh~ o wellz

  • too bad, they're... NOT! lol

  • do they even have a team

    ?

  • rofl. what nonesense. If slovakia are the best at short track, how come they cant even get into the Finals of the World Short Track Championships? Thats a load of bollocks. Obviously, Korea are the best because they just won this race, and many others too. Sorry but your comment sounded so... stupid.

  • That's the BEST sport in the world enter the corners at 50 km/h it's awsome :D

  • If your grandma had a pair balls, you wouldn't be here to belittle this great accomplishment. Just frigging enjoyed the video and acknowledge the great perfomance as it is.

  • ya but they're not so stfu.

  • Canada is worse then the USA omg lol.

  • What a load of bollocks. Canada is good. i admit, but saying that Korea won just because Canada wasnt there, is stupid. Sorry but that really is. Korea have won against Canada many times. Just acknowledge the fact that Korea are No1 at short track speed skating.

  • hahah

i have to agree with you:)

korea is so good at short track

and i'm a super junior fan too:)

    lol..there all so cutee

  • lol *high five me*

  • haha, we wiped the floor with everyone, that race wasn't any good.

and no, it's not to korea's advantage that canada were out.,., and it's not to our advantage that canada went out, it just doesn't have as much excitement, canada pushes up the level of game, and they helped us get oplymic record 2006 turin

  • WOW! Unbelievable!!!

  • wonderful

  • Fantastic!!!

  • すごい!

    cool! great!

  • quite possible lol

  • damn! talk about domination... why are Koreans so good at shorttrack?
