Funny thing is that most of the English and Welsh longbowmen could do 200 yards with a simple Yew longbow... so with all this "scientific" weaponry... can't say i'm too impressed... It's a nice shot, but he's got sights, stabilizers etc.

On his behalf vs the ancient archers, i will say that a longbowman was a person who had been shooting the bow from his 5-6 years of age, t'ill he was 16-ish years old... and that meant EVERY "free" moment of time was used to practice.. :)

in FITA outdoors competition the furthest stage is 90m=99 yards. i personally know 3 professional archers that are surprised if all six of their arrow are not in the x-ring. good shot, but not that amazing.

Ok, pretty cool, but in Australia we do this all the time. It is called our AA Clout Round. 180Meters @ 144 arrows. So, we have to do this 144 times to hit the Clout. Unfortunately, Aussies don't go "Boom" ! Maybe we should, that way we might lend up on Utube!!

@dbboy79 hey man, im pretty sure anyone can shoot 200 yards. but can you consistantly shoot a tight group at 200 yards. its the same concept as "anyone can play hockey, but not that many make it a career" . Or like "there are people with blackbelts, and then there are people with blackbelts.
