  • My favourite CD of all time is Dantalion's Chariot - chariot rising.

    All the tracks are great.

For an album that never really existed, but is a compilation of their existing works, it is just amazing. I can't recommend it enough.

  • nice song and a very good vid to match well done

  • I can't get this song out of my head. I saw Zoot Money when he and Andy Summers were in the ANIMALS back in 1968. They did this on the ANIMAL'S double album LOVE IS. I got to meet Zoot in 1983 when he rejoined the ANIMALS for a world tour.

I can't watch the lame POLICE after watching Andy rock.

  • STRAIGHT TO HEAVEN IN 1967!!!!!

  • Zoot Money with pre-Police Andy Summers on guitar, Pat Donaldson on bass, and Colin Allen on drums. Zoot was mainly the keyboardist and vocalist but also played occasional guitar. So yes, many of us know who Dantalian's Chariot is.

  • This is the band set up by George Bruno, better known as Zoot Money.

  • <3 True pop.

  • just heard it on technicolor web of sound many thanks for posting it

  • By far the best sounding version on the Tube. A brilliant burst of psychedelia. As good as (if not better) Barrett's Pink Floyd!

  • I SAW THEM. IN 1968 I think. I was very drunk and had to pee before they ended. But they were fab. All dressed in white so that the Light show could be seen all over them. Drums, hammond, Andy's guitar - all white.

I waited for a great album. It never came. But the memory of this and other stuff.....the light show and the sound went together so well.

    They were wonderful.

  • this is great!! I've just been reading Andy Summers' autobiography and was curious about hearing this band. Thanks for sharing!!

  • Thanks this is one to jog the memory banks .

  • @sissastern: Exactly what I've been doing and got me curious, too :)

  • thanks for this and other stuff youve done,eg the nice rondo. what can you say! its so vividly summer1967 with the pop/psychedelic pirate radio feel. I shouldnt, but I kind of regret that such an evocative record with shades of early family, traffic and pink floyd s scarecrow should be associated with the police and cockney rock and roll, but I suppose it all comes out in the wash.

  • Good skills! Thanks for this. Always been a big fan of Andy Summers and wanted to hear what the Chariots sounded like.

  • Thanks for that not had much good response for this one , can't win em all . Its a great old track though agreed .

  • Not to worry, keep doing what you do.

    I appreciated it.

  • they played at the roundhouse, it said on a wall there... andy summers is amazing

  • yep! before this Andy Summers and Zoot money were in a "good time rythm and blues" based rock and roll band together called "Zoot Money and the Big Roll band", but realized that the new Psychedelic movement was the way to go...

  • Zoot Money was in this group too

  • Thanks,Yeah i think i had heard that at the time but the comment before i wasn't sure about seems to early for him in my opinion , i wonder how many people out there can actually remember this .

  • Andy Summers [later in The Police] was in this group.

  • no never heard of it sounds a bit 6os,reminds me of something but just cant think what.

  • trichoone i think u r losing the plot ever so slightly, not quite time 2 give up ur day job. still i suppose u can"t please all the people all the time .

  • Hello bondie well yeah this is a bit experimental using a track which I doubt if many people have ever heard and the video well I was trying to use my own material instead of borrowing other peoples all the time and have you heard this one by the way -trichoone
