And no, none of these multiplayer characters are actually in the real game. Multiplayer in Bioshock 2 takes place one year before jack crashes into your house and when splicers go crazy. Bioshock two takes place ten years after jack's period. So jack would be an old fart, plus he lives in the surface now. No way he can be in Bioshock 2.

if you look at the ending(Good and Evil) of Bioshock 1 on Youtube, Jack stops the Splicers from getting up to the surface, maybe because he's killed thousands of them. However, in the Evil ending, Jack somehow becomes the leader of the Splicers and takes over the world, blown away by a atom bomb. In the Multiplayer mode, Jack's PLANE that Jack JUMPED out of and entered rapture crashes into your house at rank 40 (if you want to be reset to rank 0 again). He'd drown still being in it, people.

It depends on how recent sombody picks up the game. I completed my rank 50 on rebirth sometime last year, and decided to try the game again four months ago. I was surprised that some people are playing it, even if it was a minimal amount. Judging on the ranking, they either just bought BioShock 2, or they went back to try finishing their rank.

Simple: Jack was born in rapture but then was sent to the surface.

Jack was on a plane going somewhere but he didnt know that it was hijacked by one of ryan's men from the surface. Hence the return of jack.

I'm gonna make it simple. This is the the beginning of bioshock 1. The plane crashing is the plane jack used to return because atlas/fontaine called Jack back because Atlas was losing. Atlas was the one who took Andrew's son and put him in the real world, and erased the Jacks memory. The whole multiplayer thing was the civil war part of bioshock that was between fontaine/atlas and andrew ryan. Ryan is talking about protecting against an intruder(Jack/Andrew's son) that is entering Rapture.

Hmmm... storyline for Bioshock 3 would be going through a pretty much pristene, undamaged Rapture, just as the civil war starts. Just a thought. Thats basically the "story" for Bioshock 2 multiplayer, but i REALLY wanna see how all the shit went down before Jack arrived.
