@Rbeccan Clannad isn't that good D:. If you seen Air-tv they copied the way Misuzu died. And Kanon had the saddest scene out of all of them when she fell from the tree. and Clannad went supernatural messing up the story by making it a good ending. I love the VN though.
They included the scene that reminds me of this song the most, where Mai jumps off the School, with the moon in the sky, swooping down and cutting the Demon in half!
Just amazing ! Beautiful ! Mysterious at the same times. It's one of my favorite OSt , it's magical . Mai is my favorite caractere and Kanon is my favorite Anime .

I feel that the prison is more of Mai's own emotions. The fact that she Remembers Yuuichi from the start, but says nothing, and even denies remembering him to herself. "Her Prison" is the fact that she's fighting herself to save the person she wanted to be with.
Funny thing is mai in the way she begins is just like Kotomi in clannad where they both knew the guy from the start although i think mai was left out in kanon and deserved a bigger role. though if you watch kannon again you'd notice that mai really doesn't do any thing or go after the guy that much..
This song has appeared in the anime a few times... It does actually reflects Mai's story arc/route, although the title 「少女の檻」(Shoujo no Ori/The Prison of a Girl) does not really make much sense to me...

actually mai and kotomi are quite similar because in clannad kotomi has about 5 episodes then has like 1 line in the enter series afterwards

Yeah, I missed Kotomi a lot. I wasn' t too happy how most of the characters had their "arc" and then faded into the background.
However, it doesn't change the fact that Clannad is my favorite anime of all time. Kanon is a close 2nd.
