I'm running a single monitor. I see there are GTX 580's that are either 1.5 to 3.0 gigs of built on ram. Does that much ram really make a difference in game performance? Also, is using SLI with a single monitor, will I notice better performance from two cards instead of 1 card and is two cards overkill? I'm using a Viewsonic VP2655wb monitor at 1920x1200 resoultions.

@cigarjohn42. More vram for a vid card directly=able to keep same fps or higher with maxed out eye candy settings per each game's in-game graphics settings menu. This of course DEPENDS on the card having a certain level of memory bit interface. Ex.-a 64 bit vid card with 1.5 or 2 gigs vram IS A WASTE of money=internal bottleneck. gtx580=no problem :D for that rez. I got over 85 min fps on my 1080p 47" 120hz tv on my 1.5 gig gtx580 on sc2 INCLUDING heavy fighting. no overclocking period. cheers

Upgrading your GPU is always nice, but having a video card that is sold for the purpose of Duke Nukem: forever is just silly because this game ran at 1080, ultra details, high anti-Aliasing with 60FPS on my GTS 250.
