Our British health service, the NHS, is for the most part absolutely wonderful. Every citizen of the United Kingdom is entitled to total medical care, whatever the cost. He or she never sees a bill. Money does not come into the equation. We Brits live on average 3 years longer than Americans. This is not rocket science. People are looked after when they are ill, and consequently live longer!

Governor Richardson...I know you busy running for political office and unfortunately neglecting critical issues in New Mexico. The support staff employees at University of New Mexico hospital deserve a living wage. These employees are dedicated, hard working employees who deserve more. The hospital administration gives themselves over $150,000 in bonuses twice a year and offer the employees (whose wage is $7 per hour) 28 cents an hour raise. Do the right thing Governor Richardson.

Agreed. imo the fact that the US people could not GET UHC if they wanted it is far worst than not having UHC. imo the UHC battle is almost lost until democracy can be reclaimed by enforcing the constitution and reforming campaigns/elections, or by a 2nd American Revolution (which can be an awakening of citizen)

It is clear that there is an increase in Autism. The strain on families of children with developmental disorders is great. These children require therapy, trained teachers, diagnosticians, and medications that private sector health insurance does not cover. It is important that we treat common developmental disabilities, and especially Autism as conditions of urgent public health concern.

Our taxing system is tiered to assist (subsidize) those of us who earn less and thus could not pay the true cost of health care /education/emergnecy services. This is a necessary burden to be placed on those who earn more because it is for the good of the country to do so.

It is not acceptable to take more monies out of Americans pockets to assist ( subsidize)those who do not have any right to be here and need to leave. Please do not just pass blithely over the term 'Illegal'.
