There is nothing wrong with having a conservative view in political theory. The problem is that of our two major parties in the U.S., one is conservative, and the other is super far right. The DNC is regarded as being basically conservative leaning to political experts. They are considered left only in comparison to the GOP. This muddies the argument. The rich do pay taxs, State and local taxs like property tax, sales tax and the like tend to be regressive in nature and as such the very rich pay a smaller percentage of their income to those.Federal taxs however are a different matter.Once you deduct tax refunds and child credits from the total paid the rich (top 10%) pay 90% of all federal taxs.Wheather of not I'm wealthy is irrelevant I know right from wrong

There is nothing wrong with having a conservative view in political theory. The problem is that of our two major parties in the U.S., one is conservative, and the other is super far right. The DNC is regarded as being basically conservative leaning to political experts. They are considered left only in comparison to the GOP. This muddies the argument. If, however, you are saying you agree with neo-con Glenn Beck style politics, then yes, you are an asshat and deserve to have names slung at you.

Great theory but I think why it won't happen is because we liberals tend to be considerate and acknowledge that other views and positions are valid in contrast to "fundamental absolute truth" It is like some one once said bringing a butter knife to do battle against a machine gun.
