  • WiTricity mentions EV charging as an application but why not take it to a superior level having WiTricity powered highways,Interstates and eventually city streets with Wireless Electric Vehicles ( I'll call them WEV's) having no heavy and expensive batteries to power them.It would take decades to implement this so current EV's could be retrofitted with this over time.WEV's would cost much less than current EV's and have much less mass so their MPG equivalency & efficiency would be much higher

  • @m9078jk3 Check out Witricity's website been working on this and they even been trying to implement this in test parking lots.

  • @da1ofgreatness I haven't seen this on WiTricity's website although I do see the 3.3 Kw EV development kit.Encouraging though as a vehicle with dimensions of a little over 2 meters in width and 4 meters in length could have 32 of these modules on a road for a total of 105.6 kw of power powering it.With 90% efficiency that would be 95.04 Kw for a peak load or half of that (47.52 kw) with average load or 63.725 horsepower (less with electric motor, drive train efficiency maybe 47.79 horsepower)..

  • perhaps but tesla invented electricity over 100 years ago. They simply followed his notes and have been trying to improve it.

  • nope, not yours, Tesla invented it first !

  • @Georgeqaws its not tesla that invented it..a company named eCoupled is making it for them
