What kind of dental insurance do you have? Dental insurance should cover 50% of the cost of root canals. I know this video was made almost 3 years ago but I hope youve switched to a better dentist and switched to a better dental insurance company.
@theloyalone100 Well seeing as he's never had a job and mooches off of the government for his paychecks, I'm guessing he's either on charity care or medicare.
i am shocked to hear of your troubles. i too have the same issue. a dentist did mine wrong. but half my tooth came out now i have just a sharp portion of the rest of the tooth in. so the remaining tooth is loose but havent came out yet. i just want to know will i get an infection? i just dont want to go to a dentist because at this rate i do not know who i can or can not trust.
the infection did not clear out....and they should have told you that there was a chance for the infection to attack that area again...that is why they should have pulled it in the first place.
Don't stress so bad honey, just get the back teeth always pulled!! You don't NEED them...and you can get a partial. Our front teeth last longer.
Anyone over the age of 45 is when back teeth start to go....just get them pulled...you will have a happier life.
the infection did not clear out....and they should have told you that there was a chance for the infection to attack that area again...that is why they should have pulled it in the first place.
Yip they perforated both roots from what i can see. shouldve realised at the time as there wouldve been some unexplained bleeding during the drilling for the post.
It does happen, not very often fortunately, but i would expect payment from a patient if it did happen
Awe man do I know how you feel. I half knocked out my two front top teeth when I was 8 and they got glued back in; They got a whack again when I was 11, 1 is now gone due to a failed attempt; it actually cracked and then had to be pulled. The other tooth started dieing over the years "not due to bad hygiene", it felt funny one night, touched it, and it broke in half. Getting another root canal done, Christ I forgot how much it hurts, and a bridge put in.... Fingers crossed
The root canal people are agressive and want there money up front even if they F### your teeth. They are full of you know what. I have lost money, time, and I am paying throuh the mouth so to speak and the Dentist can't figure it out!
By the way, I'm pretty amazed the prices they charge you. Still paying it off over a year later sounds like you were charged thousands rather than hundreds. You could easily spend less and go on vacation somewhere to get it done by someone who is US/UK qualified and get a vacation and have money left over too. Something to bear in mind.
PULL YOUR TOOTH OUT!!! check out what this Dr. George Meinig has to say about root canals and I can tell you it's true. I have had a bad root canal I did not rremove and now have an autoimunne problems....
If I were a dentist I would feel terrible if I made a mistake and messed up a patients tooth. I would probably offer to refund the money and extract it for free, or I would not refund the money but instead offer to extract it and then put in an implant at no additional charge.
dudee i got the same problemmm today, my tooth startedd killing mee, so new new dentist said the same thing, the post was 3 mm to deep, so i went to a lawyer and his gonna get me the money back and the dentist is gonna pay for my inplant

maybe if you brushed , mouth rinsed and flossed it wouldnt have happened , like wtf bro , you should pay , he went out of his way to fix your teeth with YOU ruined with bad hygene , i had a root canal but not because of bad hygene , because i stacked my scooter and brusied my nerves , you shouldnt put a rant on youtube , juss sayin.
@chloeeclowns Some people have bad teeth due to genetics, bad water quality, acid reflux, you can do all the brushing and flossing you want and still have probs, also some parents just don't give a rats ass about taking their children to regular dental checkups, problems usually start early on in life. You are ignorant clown, not chloeeclowns. If a contractor comes in your house and screws up a job, are you gonna say "oh well, he did his best ill still pay him?" FUCK NO
I have been a hygienist for the past thirty years. It is obvious that the dentist periforated the root with the placement of the post. Antibiotics will control the infection for a period of time and the tooth will feel fine for a while, but then the inefction will build up again and cause problems later. It is best to go o an endodontist whom specializes in root canal therapy if you want to try to save the tooth. I know your out of a lot of bucks, but I wouldn't go back to that clinic.

I'm a dentist, it looks like that the distal canal of this tooth LR6 has Bren perforated by the post. The biggest problem we have here is repeated episode of abscess, Which can damage the neibouring teeth. Therefore, extraction of this tooth is better simply because of this. Orelse I would tell you to leave it the way it is for the time being if it doesn't cause any kind of symptoms. However, the long term prognosis of this tooth is poor in this state. You can maybe see a specialist
And lastly, you are so dumb because of your last statements. Its not bothering you, BECAUSE the TOOTH has no nerve in it...its dead. and the inflammation at the root tip will continue to eat your bone, until it gets really big, and will have to come out later, and might possibly damage your neighbouring teeth. So go ahead, dont get it extracted so at a later date you will have to get it PLUS another neighbouring tooth extracted. Smart. Real Smart.
You know there is a risk of failure with every procedure, just cause it failed does not mean he did not provide the best service that probably could have been attempted for your tooth. Your fat body wasn't able to fight the infection, even with the help of an RCT and antibiotics, and the infection persisted. Accept it and pay, or better yet brush and floss your teeth. Thats right if you did that from the beginning this wouldnt have happened....
@walt6886 Walt you may feel he, has an obligation to pay. However, nothing in this world can make him pay. The company can take him to court for renered services, if he refuses to pay, he might even go for trial, and live jury, if the judge allows it, request no lawyer, and make the dentis clinic go through insane ammount of dollars trying to collect on debt. There is a reason, you get paid before you do work. Any work you do without payment is a risk. In the end, a clinic would dropt it....
@walt6886 What make busniesses-capitalsim work, is not one side wins, or holds the rules. Its about voluntary exchange. If you borrowed more on a mortgage then the property is worth. Whos fault is that really? If I lent you 300+ k to purchase a property with no income or a income of 9 to 5 job, and you did not pay I back, that is my fault for lending you the money. Any work you do without payment is a risk, that societry tries to correct through regulations for you. No decree by man will work
Antiobiotics were given to you to try and help fight the infection, they don't just make the infection go away like some kind of magic bullet. Even the best endodontist might not have been able to do a better job than was done. Its YOUR MISTAKE for not going earlier when you felt pain. See that little abscess doesn't form until much time after your initial feeling of pain.
@walt6886 In this light, the clinic is at fault for not doing their homework, on this fellow. They took a risk in allowing the man to pay in increments. They should have asked for it in full or declined to operate, and allow a competetior to take the risk of treating this man. Now you might be very well right, he owes the money morally, and by contract. However I cant really think of a court that will enforce that contract for busniess nowadays, thxs to business is evil attitude, thats prevailn'
You my sir are a retard. You would have lost that tooth unless you tried a root canal. If you had left it alone, the infection would have spread and the tooth would have fallen out. Secondly, root canals as every other procedure on this planet is not 100% successful. It ranges from 65-90% in its success rate, depend on MANY, MANY factors, beyond just the dentist and his sealing of the roots. I would be careful on pointing fingers at the dentist. YOU let your tooth get that bad!
That sucks dude, I know how ya feel I've been screwed over by dentists to. I had a dentist that said " oh ya I can make that tooth look better and not stick out as much" so he filled it and now u can see where he filled it part of my tooth now is grey! I was soo mad now I look awful. I know that doesn't really compare to losing a tooth though to an incompetent dentist. But if I were u I'd talk 2 a lawyer u shouldn't have 2 pay them!
get a crown after the infection , defently something go wrong the infection soud not acord i myself have a rootcanal no probleme but i don`t plan to get a crown beacause the tooth is fine and i don`t eat roks
If I were you I would talk to someone about your rights in this matter. You trusted this dentist and paid him to do the procedure correctly and he did not do that. I would get ALL my money back and then some. DO NOT back down when your health in involved.
Infections in the mouth can easily come back after trauma such as a root canal to your tooth has been done. These infections can effect not just oral health but entire body.
This dentist CLEARLY messed up your tooth, not only that but you will most likely have to get another procedure done (that costs a lot more than a root canal) because of this dentists mistake.
He should have took his dentist to court. You know how Juries are these days on suing your doctors? Thats why we all voted for OBAMA for! Universal Heath care and expand lawsuits to create wealth for the little guy.
part3I thought it was odd my new dentist was trying to protect the old dentist!? I feel sorry for you because the xray of your tooth looked like a 2yr old did the work. My appointment is this tuesday! It can't be soon enough. I just hope the infection is not starting up again. This is not easy. Money hungry doctors. If they only cared
part2Pain went away but amoxicillin Is a bad anti bacterial in my opinion nausea diarrhea. Not feeling good in general. Tooth is tender. But I need to get the tooth pulled. I believe my tooth is filled with bacteria that the antibiotic can not get to and it will reinfect it until I have it pulled. !
you must've known that root canal can't save your tooth for a life time. it's just a temporary solution..... they've done nothing wrong with treating you.
You should just pull that tooth out an get an implant it doesn't hurt at all I see this every day they get you numb so you don't feel any pain during the procedure or after.. The post did perforate your root and about the infection there are cases where you can have one and not show any symptoms of it but it shows on the xray and trust me you do not wanna wait until it's really bad and you can't take the pain..
He want to take that tooth out. But I know that tooh has not problem. He is trying to convicing me that the tooth next to is th eproblem and he said if i give him the permisson will do rooth canal on that on. I said no. I am 100% sure that tooth is not the problem. I know it is the tooth that he did root canal is the problem. He said he can not do anything about it now. I have to take that tooth out. He sent me to a another dentist and want me to take that tooth out. I did not go.
Go to a natural dentist..the tooth does need to come out because it is dead. Would you leave your dead hand on your arm..probably not because it will effect the rest of your body..I had a root canal over 20 yrs ago..had it done 2 more times on the same tooth..It's hurting again and it coming out tomorrow..I get a bridge..just do it when you get the money. money money money...trust me pull it out..mercury is in it so take it out just beause of that..you'll be healthier
Did you sign a consent form for this procedure? If you did, then you were made aware of the risks of a root canal and post placement. The post isn't too deep, the angulation of the post is off and went through the root into the bone - its a perforation. If you went to North Shore, were you treated by a resident, a new dentist? These dentists usually have just graduated from school - if you more experience, see someone in private practice. It will cost more.
I'm pretty sure I didn't sign a consent form, the only consent forms I had to sign was when I had my Wisdom teeth removed. I was treated by a Resident overseen by an Endodontist.
am a dentist dr. dynes....dont be upset its your lower right first molar ..pls believe me its POssible to save the tooth man...the endodontist made a short working length of the canal .i mean she worked half the canal only it should be more deeply to kill the infection, yah right its unsuccessfully done...No that mistake that theyve told u is not that serious its what we call "PERFORATION" they can do remedies in that case ,PLs tell them there sealing of that perforation.
Unfortunately i heard ur complaint. am i right you dont watn ur tooth to be pulled out.of course no one wnts thier teeth to be extracted, nway GOOD news..its possible man. but u need to sacrifice more by goin back to ur dentist am telling you .that base on your xray its not an easy case but coz ur roots ar CURVED ROOTS. usually dentists are not doin it rather telling the patient to extract since u & ur dentist decide to do RCT lets save it
hi !am a practicing dentist from the Philippines ..ur xray shows that tooth number 46 thats ur first right molar has been RCT(root canal treatment) .Is that an xray after the root canal treatment or during? If ur dentist told u its done... iunforetunately its unsuccessful but u dont need to extract the tooth man,,,,,ITS HARD honestly to reDO it .
get a lawyer but do trust dr are well cover with insurance for shitttt like this so do your home work get record remember evrithing you sighn read the fine print thats gonna help u to build their case any ?get at me
you know the especialist is right the reason that it needs to be pull or xb is because who ever did the crown (cap) did fuck up your tooth i dont think the root canal was the problem trust me i work in this field i see this every day.nothing but root canals
oh well people who been writing u bad commets... pay them no mind..anyway i have a problems with my teeth decaying..fast cause i couldnt drink milk as a baby im 23 i have over 100 fillings..and 3 were done bad i gotta get them repaired ..i dont have insurence i gotta pay for it myself and i have to get braces...to prevent further decay that cost 4,800 for one year..i can relate so just get a second opinion and go from there..i shopped around for braces and this doctor was cheap lolz gud luck
if you have fillinges in your mouth that means you have a mouth full of poison. Mercury and it will effect your health all the way around. Hopefully you will be able to afford to seen a natural dentist. they teach you how to eat healthy. do a cleansing and what else to do to your teeth. So much to know about our teeth..and they work with the whole body. Of course it takes money. Our dental insurance covers so little of it but if you can make payments it is well worth every penny.
maybe if this guy cared about his oral hygiene he wouldnt have had these problems. nothing more disgusting than someone who doesnt take care of their hygiene
I probably do more for my hygene than most. Cleanings every 6 months or so, brush, floss, and mouthwash every morning and night, and floss after I eat. Unfortunately I just have bad teeth, everyone in my family has bad teeth.
I do not think you have bad teeth. It is probably because of what we eatour wonderful diet of North America. plus if you already have wonderful silver .mercury in your mouth your already in bad shape. try natural dentistry. I'm telling you, it is well worth it
It may have nothing to do with hygiene. You could have a miss bite where your teeth are not lined write and it will cause a tooth to hurt. and the wonderful dentist says hey..root canal..they give you one and years later it has to be done again because bacteria gets down into the gums somehow..I had it done 3 times to the same tooth. I have no other fillings my teeth are in great shape..so hygiene is not always the problem..talk to natural dentistry..check it out on you tube.
@zoopu Sometimes it has nothing to do w dental hygiene. I have a dry mouth syndrome, TMJ, a crooked bite, and I grind my teeth really bad in my sleep. All of these cause extreme tooth decay. I carry a tooth brush at work and brush and floss every 2 hours or so and I still have had 4 root canals, 3 extractions, and numerous fillings. I am also on a no sugar/ high fructose corn syrup. Some people just have teeth problems and it has nothing to do w dental hygiene.
Like i told you once before, I will never have another root canal, Huge waste of money. So I quess you will now go there and have your teeth cleaned weekly? LOL Peace
You may not have an infection right now, but there could still be colonies of bacteria living in there that will grow in number and end up in another infection. this cycle goes on and on until you address the cause of the infection. unfortunately this probably means pulling the tooth. It sounds to me like that sucker needs to come out. That bacteria is what is called gram-negative bacteria and it's nasty stuff. worst case scenario it spreads to your brain and kills you. no joke.
Even if I had the money I wouldn't give it to them. They did a bad job and have some nerve asking me for more money. They should be refunding me what I paid! I wouldn't do implants regardless, its quite a painful process, and the RCT was bad enough.
you have yet to show they did a bad job. only that you are not willing to take some self responsibility. why cry here? grow up and take care of what needs to be done like a man.
Just get them all taken out and get dentures. They are not considered cosmetic. I am serious. I am doing it myself in a couple of weeks. But then again, my teeth are pretty shot. Too many years of neglect and smoking. I'm getting the whole tops all removed and then getting upper dentures. I can't wait actually. Nice, new, pearly whites. And it's NOT considered cosmetic. And after that - no more worries.
Going to a clinic is your first mistake..

If I were you I would talk to someone about your rights in this matter. You trusted this dentist and paid him to do the procedure correctly and he did not do that. I would get ALL my money back and then some. DO NOT back down when your health in involved.
mytuber81 1 year ago
Infections in the mouth can easily come back after trauma such as a root canal to your tooth has been done. These infections can effect not just oral health but entire body.
mytuber81 1 year ago
This dentist CLEARLY messed up your tooth, not only that but you will most likely have to get another procedure done (that costs a lot more than a root canal) because of this dentists mistake.
mytuber81 1 year ago
I go to a specialist because knowing this is the only thing she does all day, there are very little chance that she will mess up (:

He should have took his dentist to court. You know how Juries are these days on suing your doctors? Thats why we all voted for OBAMA for! Universal Heath care and expand lawsuits to create wealth for the little guy.

I had a old root canal go bad too. 1st part was not added to comments ???
shinsetsunamo 2 years ago
part3I thought it was odd my new dentist was trying to protect the old dentist!? I feel sorry for you because the xray of your tooth looked like a 2yr old did the work. My appointment is this tuesday! It can't be soon enough. I just hope the infection is not starting up again. This is not easy. Money hungry doctors. If they only cared

part2Pain went away but amoxicillin Is a bad anti bacterial in my opinion nausea diarrhea. Not feeling good in general. Tooth is tender. But I need to get the tooth pulled. I believe my tooth is filled with bacteria that the antibiotic can not get to and it will reinfect it until I have it pulled. !
shinsetsunamo 2 years ago
you must've known that root canal can't save your tooth for a life time. it's just a temporary solution..... they've done nothing wrong with treating you.
Jaquitita 2 years ago

BuyMEaDriNk43 2 years ago
Go to a natural dentist..the tooth does need to come out because it is dead. Would you leave your dead hand on your arm..probably not because it will effect the rest of your body..I had a root canal over 20 yrs ago..had it done 2 more times on the same tooth..It's hurting again and it coming out tomorrow..I get a bridge..just do it when you get the money. money money money...trust me pull it out..mercury is in it so take it out just beause of that..you'll be healthier
Strong2256 2 years ago
Did you sign a consent form for this procedure? If you did, then you were made aware of the risks of a root canal and post placement. The post isn't too deep, the angulation of the post is off and went through the root into the bone - its a perforation. If you went to North Shore, were you treated by a resident, a new dentist? These dentists usually have just graduated from school - if you more experience, see someone in private practice. It will cost more.
winters1221 2 years ago
I'm pretty sure I didn't sign a consent form, the only consent forms I had to sign was when I had my Wisdom teeth removed. I was treated by a Resident overseen by an Endodontist.
PinePowerLI 2 years ago
am a dentist dr. dynes....dont be upset its your lower right first molar ..pls believe me its POssible to save the tooth man...the endodontist made a short working length of the canal .i mean she worked half the canal only it should be more deeply to kill the infection, yah right its unsuccessfully done...No that mistake that theyve told u is not that serious its what we call "PERFORATION" they can do remedies in that case ,PLs tell them there sealing of that perforation.

am a dentist from the Philippines am Dr. Diane..
Unfortunately i heard ur complaint. am i right you dont watn ur tooth to be pulled out.of course no one wnts thier teeth to be extracted, nway GOOD news..its possible man. but u need to sacrifice more by goin back to ur dentist am telling you .that base on your xray its not an easy case but coz ur roots ar CURVED ROOTS. usually dentists are not doin it rather telling the patient to extract since u & ur dentist decide to do RCT lets save it
dynes20 2 years ago
hi !am a practicing dentist from the Philippines ..ur xray shows that tooth number 46 thats ur first right molar has been RCT(root canal treatment) .Is that an xray after the root canal treatment or during? If ur dentist told u its done... iunforetunately its unsuccessful but u dont need to extract the tooth man,,,,,ITS HARD honestly to reDO it .

if you have fillinges in your mouth that means you have a mouth full of poison.
Strong2256 2 years ago
maybe if this guy cared about his oral hygiene he wouldnt have had these problems. nothing more disgusting than someone who doesnt take care of their hygiene
zoopu 2 years ago
I probably do more for my hygene than most. Cleanings every 6 months or so, brush, floss, and mouthwash every morning and night, and floss after I eat. Unfortunately I just have bad teeth, everyone in my family has bad teeth.
PinePowerLI 2 years ago
I do not think you have bad teeth. It is probably because of what we eatour wonderful diet of North America. plus if you already have wonderful silver .mercury in your mouth your already in bad shape. try natural dentistry. I'm telling you, it is well worth it
Strong2256 2 years ago
@Strong2256
Mercury is a lot more "natural" that the Bisphenol A and formaldehyde plastic fillings you have.
balkibaby 8 months ago
It may have nothing to do with hygiene. You could have a miss bite where your teeth are not lined write and it will cause a tooth to hurt. and the wonderful dentist says hey..root canal..they give you one and years later it has to be done again because bacteria gets down into the gums somehow..I had it done 3 times to the same tooth. I have no other fillings my teeth are in great shape..so hygiene is not always the problem..talk to natural dentistry..check it out on you tube.
Strong2256 2 years ago
@zoopu Sometimes it has nothing to do w dental hygiene. I have a dry mouth syndrome, TMJ, a crooked bite, and I grind my teeth really bad in my sleep. All of these cause extreme tooth decay. I carry a tooth brush at work and brush and floss every 2 hours or so and I still have had 4 root canals, 3 extractions, and numerous fillings. I am also on a no sugar/ high fructose corn syrup. Some people just have teeth problems and it has nothing to do w dental hygiene.
anphelps27 10 months ago
@zoopu It's Called Genetics, He isn't doing anything wrong. Regardless of how good you take care of your teeth something still can happen to them.
ladygirl99 7 months ago
Like i told you once before, I will never have another root canal, Huge waste of money. So I quess you will now go there and have your teeth cleaned weekly? LOL Peace
dolly244 2 years ago
You may not have an infection right now, but there could still be colonies of bacteria living in there that will grow in number and end up in another infection. this cycle goes on and on until you address the cause of the infection. unfortunately this probably means pulling the tooth. It sounds to me like that sucker needs to come out. That bacteria is what is called gram-negative bacteria and it's nasty stuff. worst case scenario it spreads to your brain and kills you. no joke.
trailrunner733t 2 years ago 2
Even if I had the money I wouldn't give it to them. They did a bad job and have some nerve asking me for more money. They should be refunding me what I paid! I wouldn't do implants regardless, its quite a painful process, and the RCT was bad enough.
PinePowerLI 2 years ago
you have yet to show they did a bad job. only that you are not willing to take some self responsibility. why cry here? grow up and take care of what needs to be done like a man.
zoopu 2 years ago
@PinePowerLI So what you're saying is that their demand for money has struck another nerve with you?
JaleelJohanson62 10 months ago
Just get them all taken out and get dentures. They are not considered cosmetic. I am serious. I am doing it myself in a couple of weeks. But then again, my teeth are pretty shot. Too many years of neglect and smoking. I'm getting the whole tops all removed and then getting upper dentures. I can't wait actually. Nice, new, pearly whites. And it's NOT considered cosmetic. And after that - no more worries.
