  • Hey thanks! YouTube is making me lazy. I'd rather let you figure it out. Ha, ha, only kidding.

I really appreciate it. Thanks. You saved me a lot of time. Now all I have to do is learn it and practice it. Love that amp!

  • Great job and very nice playing!

  • What is the biggest contributor to getting that violin tone? FD?

  • Thank you for sharing. One question. I've managed to tab most of the into except for the part from 3:38 on where you go from fret 17 back to 14, 12, 11 etc. I can't tell which strings and frets. It goes to fast. Can you tell me how you fret that little 2 or 3 second section?

  • Awesome one, thanks for sharing!

  • This is NOT Joe Bonamassa Song.

    Great Playin' mate.

  • Hey man, excellent video - I really appreciate you making it. I was wondering how you decide on the EQ of your amp. Do you have high mids and treble and low bass? Thanks

  • Hey man, what's your EQ settings?

  • Nice vid and very nice playing. Would love to see more lessons on JB if you have the time! The vid also kept me interested the whole way because you sound like Seth Rogan lol

  • Good video and tone. If you recall what were the amp settings for this video? Thanks.

  • THANK YOU!!

  • Wow!!! Awesome tone!

Can you tell me what settings you had on the amp please?

Would love to run that through my 4x12!

  • Wow! I love the tone! Very expressive. Two questions: Were you using the comp cut, FM or vintage setting on the FD II? Also were you using the Mosfet or Standard switch for the boost? Thanks in advance for the response. Again, loved the video!

  • @theRockGuitarGuy Vintage mode (FM works well with Marshalls), volume 10 o'clock, tone 9 o'clock, gain noon, boost full up max, Mosfet mode. I think that's how I remember the Fulldrive being set...thanks for checking it out!

  • @stratpaulguy86 Love the tone. Had a question about how this amp handles pedals since it has no effects loop. I use fulltone ocd, 70's fuzz and a dd 6. Just looking for your opinion. I see that you have experimented with a ton of gear!! Nice stuff and nice playing. Going to see Joe in November in Philadelphia!!

  • @DouglasLegnola Old Fenders are known for their affinity for taking pedals well. Delays work well in front of the amp, I actually prefer them in front now. When you crank up an old tube amp you get this very natural compression that allows the delay to "duck" underneath the note while you are playing and become more pronounced when you stop. It's hard to go wrong with an old Fender amp, no matter what your style is. I love running a tubescreamer and '70 in front of a Super Reverb,

  • Whoooa sick tone. Maybe a little too much mix on the delay for me, but overall that's so sweet sounding! Nice playing too!

  • i like this lesson its aimed at musicians/..

  • hey what pedals are you using here man? nice playing btw...

  • Thank you very much =)

  • hey i saw joe on friday amazing show... i checked out this video for the second time do you think you could do one of these style videos for sloe gin?

  • hey i saw joe on friday amazing show... i checked out this video for the second time do you think you could do one of these style videos for sloe gin?

  • Awsome ;)

  • fantastic lesson!! cheers for that.. great sound too.

  • your first chord is a e minor 7

  • Hey dude great joe on getting joes tone, thats the hard part done!!! Im thinking bout getting the Fulltone Fulldrive the same as yours in this vid, what do you make of it with a strat as well as with a Les Paul?? Dont worry bout what your fingers look like, check out Buddy Whittington, his fingers are small and chubby but his tone in his fingers is out of this world!!! Great work

  • @djplpb9 Spot on there about Mr Whittington, truly AWESOME player, and very original. He doesn't use any effects at all, just a strat and a Dr Z amp!

  • Fucking A man, your tone is unbelievable. Great playing as well.

  • I was surprised to see the t-shirt. are you from the orlando area?

  • After meeting Joe, I can say, that Joe has some extremely short and, sorry Joe, fat fingers. But he sure can move 'em around the fretboard.

  • thanks a ton. you made my night!!

  • Damn Dude...very tasty...appreciate your sharing this....you made it easy to follow..

    Thanks for the time...

    davido

  • Great job. Particularly like your sound, it's very close to the original.

Nice teaching style too. Brilliant video!

  • very very well done ..thnx a lot for ur time making some of joes stuff available

  • awesome tone, awesome playing, awesome lesson. 5*

  • good effort sounds very much like joe's tone i reckon ,i'm trying to get my delay to sound like yours any info please,,settings for the delay??

  • Is it just me or do you have very small hands?

Not in a bad way, and I can't really see that well from the video, but a lot of guitarists have long fingers.

    Anyways, excellent excellent stuff :)

  • @FrankieTheOreoDealer

Nah man it's just you. I'm a big dude, like 6' 5'' and a little overweight. My dad says he wishes he had my fingers because I have wide bases but smaller pads (fingertips) so I get the strength from the base of my fingers. The accuracy comes from the smaller fingertips. I don't have super big hands like Eric Johnson or Paul Gilbert, but they are big enough. I also don't like to use my pinky which may give the illusion that my hands are smaller. Thanks for watching!

  • @FrankieTheOreoDealer Interesting comments mmm!!! really interesting !

  • great tone dude ! and very good vid! 5*

  • Appriciate you showing everyone the true talent of Joe Bonamassa....Keep going!!..your doing a great man....keep on with the joe Bonamassa lessons...they're great

  • Hello. I like your version of it. Must say that the original is quit diverent. It sounds Nice do.

  • hey! very very nice tone!

    thanks for the lesson

  • your les paul are burstbucker 2 and 3? thank

  • can you possibly tab it out or explain better it was really good dude thanksssss

  • @JmAA7192 Sorry don't know anything about tabs...I'm a sight/ear player. I know that the song is in B-Minor. So any blues licks in B-Minor would likely sound good. Just follow it note for note and listen to the original recording to get it all. I didn't have enough time to run through it and then teach it in one video. It's definately not a beginner song or lesson but more geared for people who are already pretty profficient on the instrument. Thanks for checking it out though hope it helps

  • @stratpaulguy86 you can try it with a freeware programme called bestpractice. There you can slow motion the song without changing the tuning. Make loops to rehearse. Every guitarist should use this! Good luck with it.

  • that is some great tone... would you mind sharing your amp settings and the fulldrive settings...this is the tone im after as i also have a 68 super reverb awsome amp.

  • Not a problem, the amp's volume was on 3.5, treble 4, mids 8, bass 5, bright switch OFF, reverb 3.5. I was plugged into the vibrato channel input 1. The Fulldrive settings were Volume 1 o'clock, tone 10 o'clock, gain 1 o'clock, boost dimed. Both the overdrive and boost were engaged on the FD2. I had the tone knob rolled off on my Les Paul's bridge pickup to about 6-7. I think I was using the EP-3 Tape Echo setting on the DL4 with a little more feedback and volume than the original preset.

  • Thanks Man!!! Great Job and Look forward to more Joe Bonamassa songs... ie: Sloe Gin may be?? lol

    Thanks man!

  • if it's the recorded version of sloe gin... good luck... there's about 1000 pages worth of tabs there.

  • great job bud, good tone too
