How come wen i transfer the vids to my computer theres like a line across the screen.? Its not a black line its more like as if the video was cut in half horizontally.? Can u explain that to me.?
I looked at videos on youtube of the Sony Webbie and it looks good for $200. If you switch to HD resolution while watching your youtube video you will notice the difference. The microphone does pick up sound well even though the Microphone is on a Mono Mic. This camera can be had for as cheap $100 on ebay.
You could get a better Sony HD camera than the Webbie that costs at least $500. If you don't you want spend so much on a camera the Webbie is good.
hey man, im looking for a good camcorder under 250, with at least 10x zoom. i liked the webbie but it only had x5 and it doesnt have that good quality (from what i've seen on youtube) so do you know anything in the range under 250, HD, 10x optical, and good quality? thanks
You can get this Sanyo for $250 at Radio Shack. This camera has a nice looking lens, A nice 34X zoom and records in Stereo.
Now the Sanyo VPC TH1 records 720P HD footage at 9MBS which isn't any better than one of the cheaper HD camcorders. I got the Kodak ZI6 and it has a 1.6 MP sensor. The Sanyo only has a 1.1 Megapixel sensor which doesn't make it as good.
You have to realize this is not a $500 HD camcorder. Its a cheaper HD camcorder but with better features than a $150 HD camcorder.
If you move fast the picture jumps, but i you move normaly and not so fast it:s ok. The Aiptek Z 500 makes better pictures than the sanyo th1 but has probelmes with lightchanges and only a 3 times zoom. The sanyo th1 has 30 times zoom.
If you ever look at the Sony Webbie it can record in HD and costs $200 making it cheaper than the Sanyo VPC-TH1.
I believe Mac World did tests and found most flash based HD camcorders like the Flip, Vado, and Kodak ZI6 to record at around 8-12 MB which really is close to SD quality. The webbie records at around 5MB which is worse.
If you don't mind your HD camcorder records at a lower quality then get one of these cheaper flash based HD cameras.
Honestly, I'm not all that impressed with the quality. I wouldn't say it's any better than my little Jazz camera (720p fixed focus). I hope it's just Youtube because I really am liking this camera and it's price...
No, I had one of these cameras and already returned it. I did side by side comparisons using my Jazz HDV-178 and an Aiptek ActionHD GVS and both had much better video quality.
I have a sony mhs-pm1 it looks good when the camera is on a tripod but when I held it, it wasn't steady it looks like this one. It cost me 149.99 and it should be a good spy cam as well.lol
does the camera focus good on faces?

Get the Canon Hf100 if you want a exceptional HD flash camcorder for like $500 bucks. It's soooooooo much better.
