  • That mutated Kermit eating the worms - what was his name (or did he have one)? I know they used his several times.

  • Think the monsters resented being called "cute and cuddly" or thought they fit that description? XD

  • WOW... the sketch with the the monster and the worm was an old skit he did back in the day. And it's still funny!

  • That was a good Cary Grant impression.

  • Was Lenny built with legs? Because I remember seeing his legs in his first appearance. If so, I guess they decided to put them lower on his body for future appearances.

  • Random ending! XD

  • "Where the quickest way outta here?"

    "Through the roof!"

  • *BOOM!*

    *High pitched voice* AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

  • didn't they do the monster eat's lizerd eats worm before only it was kermit not a lizerd

  • yes...

  • that was probably one of the earliest acts Jim Hension had ever done.

This i guess is a tribute to the performance that made it all happen

  • I guess this is where they got the idea for Oscar's pet worm on Sesame Street.

  • Don't pick on the little guy- he may be bigger than you think, like that monster with a worm for a nose. LOL

  • monster eats inchworm. Monster eats monster

  • and i feel bad for the eaten inchworms and the eaten monster...

  • I think the last impression was Jack Benny...

  • Nixon, wonderful.

  • That Cary Grant impression is amazing!

  • Not too sure I get the joke at the end of Rich's interview; are the monsters insulted by being called "cute and cuddly" or think they fit into that category??

  • who is he even doing at the end of that interview? paul lynde? vincent price?

  • I think it´s Paul Lynde

  • I bet most of you don't know the answer to this question. Can anyone tell me what the 'muppet show', 'Star Wars', and 'Labyrinth have in common?

  • All three include a contribution by Frank Oz

(Miss Piggy, some characters on Labyrith and the voice and ,in Episode 4 to 6 performing the muppet, of Yoda.

    Right?

  • No, Jim Henson is the thing they have in common, he created the muppets, yoda, and the puppets on Labyrinth.

  • No, Stuart Freeborn created Yoda.

  • Technically, George Lucas created Yoda.

  • Yeah, but the design credit goes to Stuart.

  • No argument there. Henson (I believe) was consulted about making a lifelike muppet, but it was Freeborn who designed him and Oz who performed him. In no sense could it be said that Henson "created" Yoda.

  • wookie72: Yes there could be such a sense, because Yoda was via Freeborn's design, but was acutally made through Jim Hennson's Creature Shop & was voiced by veteran Muppeteer Frank Oz.

  • Nonetheless, it's only a tangential connection with Henson, whereas Freeborn and Oz had a direct hand in the development of Yoda.

  • @wookie72: Frank worked through his connection with Henson as it pertains to Yoda, since he was employed with Jim when he performed Yoda. in fact, George Lucas himself was partly responsible for Labyrinth (a Henson Creature feature), so really, Jim & George have this bond, which explains the Star Wars' Muppet Show episode, explains the use of Star Wars references in Muppet Babies, explains why Muppeteer Frank Oz is Yoda, & explains why Disney has Star Tours & MuppetVision 3D.

  • Dancing Chicken! LOL

  • The long nose monster bit was originally done on the Ed Sullivan Show. It was Kermit who was eaten by the monster

  • Woman: Look at that. You should call him a doctor!

Man: Okay. (to Animal)You're a doctor.

  • Poor Animal!

  • I wonder who would win a fight between Miss Piggy and Animal

  • If you look close, you'll notice Lenny loses the teeth on the right side of his mouth towards the end of this sketch.
