i disagree!!800years 'chemnitz' vs 40years 'KarlMarxStadt'.

chemnitz was instrumentalized in order to have a big mayday rally scenery. the name was picked by the dictators -> pure propaganda.marx had nothing to do with chemnitz (except for the fact that chemnitz used to be a worker's city).donT get me wrong,i like marx's ideas about society! however,over 70% decided in 1990 to change the name back to chemnitz.democracy seems to have won in this case.(just like the old marx would have liked it.)

I see your point, and i agree that if things were changed democraticaly then it is better this way. I was just commenting that chemnitz is not a nice name at all!
