"InvestigatorDave"... come on, you really need to read more and open your ears. Gitmo is not the only place we hold enemy combatants. And it is not like they'll be wandering around the USA wondering what to blow up. The ones that will be let go, which is only a few, are going to be shipped back to there own country. You sound like one of those typical conservatives who is frightened that they will blow us all up if we let them go. Grow up

1st: What of the ones that are NOT going to "be let go"? Where do they go? Again, no plan.
2nd: What I sound like is someone concerned about letting killers on the loose in any location. Don't want them killing anyone. An adult concern.

My eyes and ears are open. What I did not see or hear from this retired Gen or the Prez is what they will do with the detainees when Gitmo is closed. That it will close is done (Ready. Fire.). What to do with occupants, not known (Aim). Some released detainees have been offered to their home countries and said country refused them. So, that won't work for all. And that is just the ones we decide to let go.
I'm not hearing a comprehensive plan here.

First off... they have not been PROVEN to be or SUPPORT killers so the fact they are locked up with no representation and not being CHARGED with anything is disgraceful. And as for comprehensive plan, Obama has to fix this fucking mess Bush created so it will take a little while for there to BE a plan. There plan is to review the most dangerous and then charge them with something which for the past 7 years has been to difficult for Bush to do because he has a retard.

One cannot fix a mess WITHOUT a comprehensive plan. Ad hoc isn't going to cut it. Again: Ready. Fire. Aim. That's the wrong order.
