As much as I hate Texas, I have to say that this was one of the best Red River Rivalry games ever. It definately lived up to it's preceding hype. I hate Texas, always will, but damn, that was a great game. Boomer Sooner! We still have won 7 out of the last 11 games between the horns.

that year was full of confusion for the Big 3 in the Big XII. Tech beat us by 3, OU lost to us by 10, OU beat Tech by 44. Now, in ANY logical person's eyes, Texas Tech should not be in the conversation at all from this point due to point spread. That being said, OU should have easily been OUT of the title game and Texas in, but the thieves strike again and they also reap what they sow again, getting their asses handed to them for, well I don't know, it's been so many in a row that they've lost..

@TexasMade20 Not to be technical but Tech beat you guys by 6 that year. We beat Tech by 44 but since that was their only loss for the entire season it put them at 11-1 with us and Texas. The way the tie breaker works is the highest ranked BCS team and that went to us. Whine all you want, it ain't changing. Plus, your typical 4th quarter heroics against Ohio State proved that Florida would have beaten Texas and beaten them comfortably.

@BigTimeStein1 It doesn't really prove anything about Florida and Texas on way or the other. It just honestly wasn't fair that Texas didn't have a chance but Florida and OU did. Just like it wasn't fair for Auburn and Utah in 2004, or Boise State in 2006, or just about every team in the top 10 in 2007, etc.

@Statalyzer I get it. The BCS isn't the greatest system. But I am not in favor of a playoff system. This is the best thing we have at hand right now. We could just go back to having the AP Poll decide the #1 team at the end of every season. But a lot of people would consider that regressing.

I think as a DIE HARD Longhorn fan and Big XII supporter (even though I'm in Alabama) if players can have fun with each other then the fans can. Don't get me wrong, I've seen OU players get dirty and classless, but not ALL of them. If they get along for the greatest rivalry in Football, so can we. if i could chime in, I'll take head to head over championships or big 12 titles. While I respect Oklahoma's accomplishments in that regard, championships in college football are the worst example in sports as to who the best team is, and you all saw what happened in the big 12 last year. CLUSTERFUCK!!!!! What remains is the undeniable on the field results between two great programs. And, my friends, Texas clearly has the edge here. Most definitely a Classic. Every play. Colt came through big. This was bigger than the Nat'l Championship bc these are the 2 best teams so this Was the Nat'l Championship. The remaining games will be a breeze compared to this for Colt and UT though they won't see it that way of coarse.  But it is.
