  • wow. 15,000 views, 155 likes, 0 dislikes - and it's still illegal. What does that tell you?

  • fuck yeah.... a ron paul ad next to a terence mckenna video

  • Marijuana will never be legalized like it should be...or the pharmaceutical companies would collapse.

  • @TheNineOone yeah, lets see where the road takes us , maybe a hybrid of them both? xD

  • they make the hangmans rope from hemp. be care ful it does not hang you ,an ex weed smoker

  • so true

  • Whenever you have bad trip, listen to Terence McKenna's voice.

  • lester grinspoon..."the man"!

  • Great video.

  • Since I've graduated high school I've been in Mckenna high... :) Keep studying up people!

  • there are a lot of stoners who are the most unenlightened sorts who smoke to avoid.

  • @peacerebelgirl my experiences have showed me that most people like that usually don't like weed that much, and they prefer to either smoke it with tobacco or to smoke bowl after bowl in one sitting. those people are more into dopamine rushes and quickly move on to opiates. they stick to weed for social reasons. i don't like these people cuz these are the same people who go "weed...Bob Marley...420...CHRONIIIIC."

  • very good.

  • 1:55 Jesus.

  • I don't know why everyone loves weed. I'm already chilled enough as it is. So I have kratom, which is beautiful and energetic.

  • If you need a drug to feel alive you are already dead

  • @Rogerlowrey2222 You dont need a drug to feel alive, you need a drug to get high, to break a way form this life, and enter the next, discover things in a new perspective. That's what I think life's about discovery. Society has really embedded a negative outlook towards the word drugs on you hasn't it. So sad.

  • @Rogerlowrey2222 It's not about feeling alive, its about feeling things and gaining perspectives that would otherwise be unattainable. We have a natural desire to explore the mind, and if a certain substance can allow you access to exploring unimaginable realms of possibility, why not use it? Especially if it does minimal harm to the body while dramatically complexifying the state of your mind. People typically don't use psychedelic drugs out of fear, not knowledge. Be well.

  • @Rogerlowrey2222 if you call a plant a drug, you have been programmed by a dominator culture of low life greed addicts who wish to keep you from acknowledging the earth as a living entity.

  • Funny thing is, I was smoking one time probably a month after I discovered Terence's words and I kept telling myself that I should not listen to him lol.

  • "cannabis is not a health problem, the problem is it promotes social values and attitudes that are unwelcome in capitalist market based societies." Beautifully said.

  • everyone should see this

  • " if you dont smoke cannabis, you may spend the evening balancing your cheque account, if you do smoke cannabis ... " always stuck in my head

  • Anyone know if Terence drank alcohol. He speaks of it's cultural agendas so I'm guessing no, somehow I think it would impair his psychedelic cosmic intelligence.

  • fuck yeah. I just got finished with my Graphic Design job in downtown LA. Came home, smoked a bowl, watched this, and agreed 100%

  • If santa claus says smoke it then smoke it

  • @whitepawsmydog

    Hahahahahaha

  • If You dont smoke Cannabis You may spend Your evening balancing Your Check Account; if You DO smoke Cannabis You may spend Your evening contemplating the causes od the GReek Renaissance - Terence McKenna

  • Is that Dr. Weil?

  • @mmarren57

    yup

  • Those stats at the end are absolutely remarkable!

  • Did MCkenna drink alcohol? Personally I avoid booze entirely and stick to cannabis and occasionally other pyschedelics

  • @pervertedpenguin69 im pretty sure hes drank before but he never wanted to do drugs that are used to just fuck you up and not help gain knowledge like psychedelics do. he was a mind expander not drug abuser :)

  • @pervertedpenguin69 Ever tried peyote cacti?

  • @Mosixman sadly no but always wanted to

  • One very dangerous meme that is intricately woven into the collective psyche is "We don't need drugs to get high, we can just get high on life"... Once a person has accepted this notion they are more or less lost.

Education is the key, but we need to legalize these subtsances first. What kind of a message are we sending if we allow people to possess and use guns, alcohol, tobacco and pharmaceuticals but chastise and penalize those who choose to use natural etheogens?

    It's madness.

    peace.

  • @MrAudiovideodisco

Well said. Modern society is quite mad indeed. People are scared of what they don't understand. Before I tried marijuana, I was nervous about it. Afterwards, it seemed a tragedy that THIS was what I had always been warned about and heard to be evil. What an enormous shame. I see people all the time that could be so freed and opened up by it. Without a push, my mind could have stayed in one area for the rest of my life, thinking I knew it all

  • @grands1am Nature tends to decondition us from childhood programming. Unfortunately most people will never break that bubble I imagine most people looking at this video has. Wasting their lives playing the wrong game, choosing the wrong chemicals, upholding values not their own. Protecting these institutions that do nothing but insult , use and abuse them. I try to save the people closest to me but some are so far gone they need pharmacological intervention from nature. Love you Terence!

  • Look i built an auto-pilot internet business that bring me more than 100k/year on pot. I work at home on the Internet and i have a damn good time everydays.

  • Terence puts it in perspective at 3:30, "we value certain states of mind (caffeine) and we fear and suspect others(psilocybin, thc, dmt)"

  • @Cruzman3609 You are exactly right! At almost 40, all the people I know from high school (family included) didn't then and those who still smoke it now have not and are still not using marijuana to contemplate Greek Renaissance or for any spiritual or intellectual purposes! This video is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Those who have been smoking it in my age group now have trouble holding a job and keeping a roof over their heads! Their lives are COMPLETELY dumbed down!

  • @FugitiveCon It looks like what Cruz said went right over your head blondie! He said most people think cannabis is used to 'get high' and watch tv or play games something dumb. but the true potential of cannabis is when it is used for art, music, spiritual growth, in moderation, and responsibly! anyone can abuse cheeseburgers but we arent gonna outlaw them duh! The fact that u allow the US Gov to trample all over the constitution and not allow people to have religious freedom is just shameful!

  • Hell ya im smoking sum knockout O.G right now...

  • im a smoker and i say he's the fuckin man

  • they say dude, smoke some weed, and listen to terence mckenna

  • @actgif68 Listening to Terrence alone is enough to get you stoned for days. Fuck, why did he have to die?

  • what do smokers say about mckenna? I hardly meet anyone who knows about mckenna, let alone stoners who know about him.

  • @yoseph89 only smart smokers know about mckenna, theres lots of 'smokers' that dont even know why cannabis is illegal. some 'smokers' believe it or not smoke herb thinkin they are gonna 'get fucked up' or to 'party' those people are stupid morons that should instead drink malt liquor, cannabis is for the intellectual and educated but it also works to reveal ignorance among the ignorant

  • @TheHempMessiah ok, now, where do you guys hangout, cuz... that ignorance you mentioned there... I'm sick of tolerating it. lol. The popular crowd actually has made using the plant into a liability, for both my health and occupational status... unfortunately. There's no honor anymore.

  • @yoseph89 When u ask someone, what does the average marijuana user look like? They will tell u a hippie,a bum,or anyone unemployed. But why is that? In my opinion i think that is because doctors, lawyers, professors, dont walk around with a tie dye shirt or a 'legalize it' pin. People with good jobs that have benefits are terrified of a drug test that is designed to catch cannabis users due to the fact that thc is in ur body for 30days,but meth crack cocaine just a 3 day weekend. Its y it matters!

  • @TheHempMessiah Yeah, I totally agree with you. And all of that cultural corruption is what makes it so hard for me to find others lol. The unconscious anti-pot movement seems to still have great influence. I have, to this day, to still find another person, face-to-face, who is fully aware of the global circumstance. I'm an anthropology student and when I talk out loud about the international drug stigma and its connection to "free trade," ppl tend to shy away.

  • @yoseph89 Well it is my personal opinion that cannabis / hemp is the single most important issue in the world. I think that cannabis / hemp can heal and/or help end most the worlds current problems like world hunger, lack of shelter/clothing, pollution, and energy. seriously i know it sounds outrageous but i can envision a world that is much different than it is now when cannabis sativa is finally freed from the chains of ignorance its been tied onto for over 50 years.Industrial HEMP for the win

  • @TheHempMessiah it's not outrageous, it's an option

  • @yoseph89 For many people and for too long, that option has been pre-determined

  • @TheHempMessiah

    YOU ARE SO RIGHT!

I talk about this all the time with people. We really have to get marijuana legalized EVERYWHERE!

  • @TheHempMessiah I totally agree. Not to mention it cures cancer.

  • @pervertedpenguin69 If it cured cancer, Terence would still be alive...RIP

  • @weepingmidwinter Wrong. Cannabis doesnt just cure cancer. You have to go through a hemp oil regimen, smoking the dried flowers isnt going to do it. the hemp oil has to be extracted and ingested. so your comment holds no weight, cannabis DOES cure cancer and if Terence knew how to use it to treat his cancer he may still be alive today.

  • @TheHempMessiah As with any medicine, there must be documented proof of this, not just circumstantial evidence that it ''might" be helping. If what you say IS true, than I shall worship cannabis even more than I already do, and spend my life advocating it to cancer patients. My grandad(whom i was very close to)recently died from chemo radiation, so you could see why I'd be serious about this. All of this talk makes me want to smoke a bowl.

  • @weepingmidwinter First, let me start by saying I'm sorry to hear about your granddad. I have also lost family to cancer and wish there was a real cure when it was most needed. The problem is that they have made an industry out of cancer research. They are withholding cures to protect their own billion dollar interests. Cannabis oil has been shown to kill cancer cells as shown in this video: /watch?v=jVVRQK53wYs

There are a ton of links to medical articles in that video's description.

  • @weepingmidwinter People like you are the reason I spread the word about cannabis and its potential. For so long I thought cannabis was only helpful to help cancer patients deal with the pain, nausea, and to induce appetite while they go through chemo. It wasnt until this year that I learned hemp oil in fact cures cancer itself. You might know of the late Jack Herer,"The Emperor of Hemp"..but even he said he didnt know about hemp oil or Rick Simpson until after 20 years of being a hemp advocate.

  • @TheHempMessiah Amen to that. Free the weed, Cannapeace

  • @TheHempMessiah free will is the single most important issue in the world, and what we do with it

  • Man, i totally agree with you except in the hunger part.

  • @TheHempMessiah hemp isn't important dude, nor is cannabis by itself when you think about it, its the active chemicals in it that get you high that people are interested in, the cannabinoids, thc, etc..

I don't know why people that advocate marijuana are so for hemp, it means nothing it mighnt as well be another plant if your going to make fucking ropes out of it, use it for clothes etc. I don't fucking get you people.

  • @broadcastmyass4u Do you want to understand cus I can explain. Or do you just want to talk shit? To say that the hemp plant is not important shows how much you like talking out of your ass without knowing even a little bit about the subject at hand. Human beings can build empires with just water and the hemp plant, thats a fact. It is the most beneficial and most versatile plant known to man. Smoking it is only the cherry on top, hard to believe isn't? Most nutritious FOOD=hemp

  • @TheHempMessiah You dumbass, i wasn't even talking shit. You can build an empire out of dog shit! Does that mean you should? I'll agree that cannabis, not hemp, has value, medical value, but hemp might as well be any other thick fibrous plant. There are plenty. Sounds like youre just another hippy trying to get all you can out of the plant when it just really isn't all that.

  • Comment removed

  • @broadcastmyass4u What's wrong with using something to it's fullest potential? I don't know about creating an empire from hemp, but it certainly would be nice. If the potential is there, then it may be worth following. To shut it out based on your cultural conditioning of labeling people as "hippies" and such is wildly ignorant. Hemp may or may not be the answer to all these problems but it certainly promotes the values that support TheHempMessiah's ideas. That's a start.

  • @broadcastmyass4u Sounds like you want to limit the use of the plant. It can be used for so many things. Millions and millions of dollars are invested to cultivate this plant , why should only a percentage of the plant(flowers) be used when it could serve so many purposes?

  • @tripbrick27 well fine, if you want to make us of every little part of the plant i guess there isn't anything wrong with that. Just seems a little wierd and excessive to me. Like the indians using every part of the buffalo and not wasting any. I can respect the concept. What i was so puzzled about was the fact that so many people think that way about the plant and i was just wondering why when there are so many other even cheaper resources that can be used for the same purposes.

  • @broadcastmyass4u its EXTREMELY important... your fooling yourself

  • @yoseph89 I'm a blazer and a strong advocate of Terence's message. You are not alone.
