People with a strong self-confidence cannot be easily provoked by anybody, as they know very well who they are and nobody can impair their self-image not even by a bad racist remark. Believe me you feel yourself very strong if somebody is insulting you and you give him or her constructive and quick-witted responses or sometimes even not responding at all. You may call it self-regulation and my religion supports it by for example classifying anger as “heram” (=forbidden).
Self-regulation not only means that you control your emotions but also that you keep balance between them. That is what I have learned from life and am stilling learning. So “improve your confidence” was well-intended the more so as I am myself on my way to achieve it mostly through prayers.

A Muslim (Musalman) means a person who believes in Qalma and agrees to the prerequisite for being a Muslim. A Momin (A true Muslim) on the other hand follows Islam by heart, and follows it strictly. Every aspect of a Momin' life is in accordance to the Quran and Suna.
In short being a Momin is superior than being a just Muslim, Iqbal in these rendered verses is actually attributing to a Momin.
I hope it helps you a little, in case if you don't know it.

I give rat ass about our culture, the only thing that I'm ashamed about are the filthy dirty streets we have, substandard housing (for the common man), bad governing and polluted drinking water. Are these scriptures exist in form of 32 books? Does “Purana” mean old or ancient? Which one includes the revelations and who received them? People with a strong self-confidence cannot be easily provoked by anybody, as they know very well who they are and nobody can impair their self-image not even by a bad racist remark. Believe me you feel yourself very strong if somebody is insulting you and you give him or her constructive and quick-witted responses or sometimes even not responding at all. You may call it self-regulation and my religion supports it by for example classifying anger as “heram” (=forbidden).

Please embellish your Urdu vocabulary, the word used here is very much "LAHZA" and not "LAHJA (Accent)". LAHZA means "moment or instant", more specifically the time it takes the eye to blink.

A Muslim (Musalman) means a person who believes in Qalma and agrees to the prerequisite for being a Muslim. A Momin (A true Muslim) on the other hand follows Islam by heart, and follows it strictly. Every aspect of a Momin' life is in accordance to the Quran and Suna.
In short being a Momin is superior than being a just Muslim, Iqbal in these rendered verses is actually attributing to a Momin.

First of all i dont understand why do you guys drag religion in everything,, i guess its our favourite hobby to discuss politics and religion when we have nothing else to do,, and lately 'we have nothing to do but drag religion into politics',,, it may be one of the many reasons of neither accomplishing to be a 'momin' nor a 'pakistani'. And i love the song! though poetry has different meanings to different minds but noor jehan sang her heart out while singing it. kudoos to this song!!!

I give rat ass about our culture, the only thing that I'm ashamed about are the filthy dirty streets we have, substandard housing (for the common man), bad governing and polluted drinking water. We love to produce a lot of empty suger coated words for the feel good factor but fail on on practical actions that will improve our lives in the society.
We are miles and miles away from being like the practical germans....we are only into story telling and singing sugar coated poetry.

Allama Iqbal is one of the best poet, this is one of the most wonderful example.... and what about madam, she flavored all her experience in this poem..... No One I repeat no 1 can sing better than her..........

Gar Chi Urdu dar ozubat shakar ast - Tarz e guftar e Dari Shreentar Ast. By Iqbal Lahori. His real favorite language was Dari witch speak only in Afghanistan and the history about this language is very vast and huge and that Urdu was born come to live becasue of Dari and Arabic but this song sung by late Legendry lady and late lengendry Poet. @appygreen...Hazrat Mohd pbuh didnt mention many of prophets by his mouth yet thye were there..and yes...buddha and krishan were messanger too..they were sent for guidence.We have gr8 respect for them in our hearts.

@ashainsha Can we not talk of qadianiat on every forum. And why do you insist on Krishna and Buddha being prophets? Is it an attempt to win hindu's heart for your cult? Well, then talk about this on hindu forums and convince them to consider Krishna their prophet not "Bhagwan".
