This is one of the many reasons why I love my Jamaican background, my American accent disappeared when I was 3 years old and has never been heard since then...lol!! I am grateful that I spent alot of my summers in Jamaica as a child, those memories will never leave me.
Thank you for making this video. Being Jamaican in America i have to EXPLAIN to others (including some Jamaicans) that depending on where you live/who you are around etc etc created differences in the Jamaican dialect. It's CRAZY when i hear/read from some Jamaicans that "true Jamaicans" speak "hardcore Patois" &all others who have it with ANY AMOUNT of english OR has it "English washed" are NOT REAL JAMAICANS/fake. THANK you for setting the record. STRAIGHT.
@RONNiiGODlovesME Some ppl ears HAAD! Dem will never get it, even though we try to set things straight. Thing is, some people who claim to speak 'hardcore' patois, have NO idea what that really is! Wrench up mouth and nuff expletive is definitely NOT hardcore patois as some people think. We working here to dispel some myths! Stay tuned, subscribe and share these videos with your friends! :-) Blessings
I had a ball catching up on all ur videos....my husband is now hooked trying to learn patios in order to understand what I'm saying when I'm upset...lol. Great idea, great presentation, wonderful personality... keep the videos coming.
Hi Jaynia, you are very talented, not only able to drive a standard (stick) Turbo Starlet but very creative in the arts. You truly captured the essence of our diversity and also show that nothing actually says it like our patois!
@biggawalks I am trying to guess who this is...but i can only think of one person who drives a Starlet, and i think i got a borrows once...lol Correct?

this is nice....but for the straight patois version of the story I think you should have used "wrecka" instead of "tow-chuck"
