Reid's statement is factually accurate. His mistake is that he said it as a white American which comes off as insensitive.  Obama's greatest gift is not his intellect - it his ability to make a large segment of white America feel comfortable around him. The same applies to most blacks (and other minorities) who succeed in corporate America. Intelligent + militant = unemployed. "Bobb" Jindal has Obama beat though.
