i reaslised that the packaging of the cake already stated that pudding was added. do you mean i need to buy another extra pack of pudding for your receipe.

Try Grape seed.

Its still vegetable oil.

(canola or olive will give it an oil flavor).

I like the glaze technique and will try it next time. I make the same cake as a lemon rum cake. Substitute a lemon cake mix, lemon instant pudding, Add 1/2 cup lemon juice and zest from 1 lemon to glaze and use Lemon flavored Rum. May substitute toasted slivered almonds for the walnuts.
