Nobody discusses that much of that arts money is artists/singers/dancers/filmak­ers etc. going into distressed neighbourhoods and helping community groups and vulnerable youth to become involved and learn new skills.

How is that person supposed to make a living while they are making this contribution that takes time and commitment?

Sorry -- had to say more...

I find it horribly insulting that he thinks all artists are rich. Most of us work very hard making art and teaching, etc for the betterment of our communities -- without compensation. Most artists consider themselves extremely fortunate if we can scrape a living doing our art. I know more small businessmen who go to galas than I know artists.

No, what is really sad is that 40% of the people will vote for him because he isn't Liberal. He defines Liberals and everyone listens. He defines conservatives and everyone listens. Where's the objectivity in the media these days? If Conservatives are the only people in the media defining politics how are people supposed to be informed with the truth?
